Beachfront holiday rental in Douglas County

i would definitely stay here again, such a cute and peaceful place to relax, as well as many things to do locally and close to the little towns of Battle Lake where there is a grocery store, restaurants, pharmacy and a fantastic ice cream shop! The cabin was fully equipped with everything you would need, and was so cozy. Look forward to another stay there.

We had a great time here. The lake is beautiful and calm. Nathan and the other hosts were great and very responsive. It is a great way to escape. For a lake this is pretty clear, it does have some sections of plants that are not ideal for swimming but we just moved around them and there were a lot of clear parts you could see to the bottom and have no issue. The view and lake access is worth the visit.

This was exactly what my family and I needed. The place was great, loved not having the road between the cabin and beach, which is the norm just a few houses down. I told Byron the only things I’d recommend is having the deck/patio sprayed off and cleaner since thats the focal point of the place and where everyone hangs out, especially since I have a small son thats playing out there. He seemed to agree and I would highly recommend the place! He went above and beyond to help as well. Thanks Byron!

We had a great weekend away and really appreciated the ramp accessibility for my dad, who uses a 4 wheel walker. Great hospitality and beautiful lake!

A small cabin next to a good sized lake. A quick walk to the water greeted by a paddle boat and a canoe. Decent fishing and good size as well. Friendly and honest host who responds fast. Had a great time enjoying the outdoors with great friends. Best part is it’s a 15 minute drive to the nearest town.

We had another incredible stay in glenwood! I absolutely love the home, it’s cute and cozy. I enjoyed hearing the waves from the lake at nighttime through my windows, lots of rooms for the kids to play, we enjoyed the screened in room for games on rainy days. The lake was beautiful and clean, we found tons of stuff to do locally. Emily even bought us a muffin tin when we asked if the cabin had one. Neighbors were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed swimming right off the dock and fishing! Already planning next years return trip!

the house was absolutely gorgeous! it was decorated so cute and exactly how it was advertised! Salina was very proactive and helpful and in communication with me the entire stay. Had we needed anything I know she would have helped us. You will not be disappointed with this home! thank you for everything Salina!

Great place for a family weekend.

Very nice place with plenty of room for our family get together. It was -20 degrees outside while we were there. Although the weather was not in our favor, the pool table and many games kept us entertained while visiting with each other. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

Hidden gem in a rural area on a small glacial lake. A bit of travel required for groceries and gas, but the property and view are breathtaking. So many areas for family members of all ages.

Wow! Our family of 5 had such a relaxing few days at this beautiful, thoughtfully-designed & clean cabin. We thoroughly enjoyed pretty much everything about this place & can't wait to go back! VIEW: The lake view was stunning, the quietness at this location was 2nd to none & they had bird feeders, which was a huge hit for our family of birders:) INDOOR: this cabin is very well built, super clean & thoughtful design (heated floorboards upon waking & in front of bathroom vanities); it was well stocked with all the essentials: linens, towels, paper goods, etc; appliances looked brand new & cabinets stocked with good quality kitchen gear. COMMUNICATION/FLEXIBILITY: The Welcome Guide/cabin manual was thorough & helpful; such attention to detail at this cabin was so comforting & gave great peace of mind for our stay. The host was very responsive & super flexible both on the arrival & departure times (we did stay a bit longer the last day to soak up as much of that lake view:)

We loved this spot! Coziest little cabin. It was beautiful in the winter, and I'm sure it's only better in the summer with the lake right there. I hope we'll be back

Our group of 9 adults and 4 children, ages 4 and under, had a wonderful time at this spacious home. There were so many spaces to be, inside and out. We used the pontoon, played badminton in one part of the lawn and brought a cornhole game for another part. The kids loved the playground and small rock area underneath... actually less messy than sand. Carolyn told us about another huge playground about a 10-minute drive away that me & my husband went to look at and it was awesome! For all ages of kids and a huge beautiful beach and a walking/scooter? path and bathrooms right there too. And a ping-pong table! So much to do! Had a fire at night, looking out at lake. Beautiful sunset. We brought a fishing boat and they were able to catch bass, northern, and nice sunnies. Nice big lake with beautiful houses to look at on a ride around it on the pontoon. Couldn't have asked for any more! Highly recommend!

We stayed in the 100-year-old lodge. Our group, ranging from 3 to 75, enjoyed all the activities, especially the water toys. The long dining room table allowed us to sit together as a family for each meal. Having six bathrooms was appreciated by all. We will be returning.

We had such a wonderful stay at Sara’s AirBNB! It was immaculately clean, which I so appreciated! The views were incredible and we loved sitting out by the water. Everything we needed in the kitchen was there and in great quality. Thank you Sara for being a part of our vacation!

Beautiful house. Kitchen was great, roomy living room/ dining room area. Plenty of bed choices. Very responsive. Was a great stay!

This wonderful 5 bedroom family vacation home easily exceeded our expectations. The outside had been recently painted the traditional Norwegian red with white trim. There are many other Norwegian features in this vacation home built by Norwegian-Americans. The beds were all very comfortable. The floors seemed to have been recently refurbished. The kitchen was large and well appointed, with almost anything available one might need for cooking. And, best of all, the home is right on the water with great views of the sunset, when that is available. Our group of 8 hopes to return soon!
