Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Dota

Wow!! What a place! One of the best Airbnbs we’ve ever stayed in! The house is very impressive and the view is incredible, on a misty day as well as on a clear day. We felt like the house had been designed with everything thought through, from where an extension lead was placed by the sofa to charge your phone to the coffee station - with a V60 and filter coffee options available. The beds are incredibly comfortable for a restful night with lots of blankets and comfy pillows. We were warned that it would be cold so we brought our thermals but plenty of blankets are provided and the log fire was perfect for cosying up. The jacuzzi at sunset is a must. We went to restaurant Linda Vista down the hill and we could see the house from there and it looks fantastic! Only 15 minutes drive from Irazu volcano which is worth visiting! An incredible experience and 100% recommend everyone to book here! Maria Laura is very attentive and friendly. Thank you for everything.

Such a beautiful and peaceful location, with an epic view! Very spacious house with incredible ocean views from every bedroom. We enjoyed listening to the howler monkeys in the morning! Its a bit of a drive from Uvita/Dominical, but well worth it for the beauty and privacy it offers. 4WD is definitely needed to get here. Roberto and Diana were very responsive and helpful! We would love to come back here someday and highly recommend this place

This is my second visit to Beth’s place and we loved it. Such a beautiful location and a charming and unique home. The gardens and access to the river is incredible. We went in the river each day - so refreshing. We even used the outdoor pizza oven! So fun! The living room area is a little bit sparse and a couple comfy chairs on the deck would be nice — but nothing that would detract me from staying here again. A very special property.

Our four-night stay over the New Year’s Eve holiday at Volare was nothing short of magical! It was the perfect setting for our family to come together and celebrate the start of a new year. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how peaceful and beautiful the home was. The natural light pouring through the windows made the entire house feel warm and inviting, and we couldn’t get enough of the stunning views—especially the clouds and the birds that graced the sky each morning. Tucker was a fantastic host, always available and ready to help with anything we needed. It was clear that she cares deeply about the space and her guests. Yamilet, the property manager, was so friendly and helpful. Everything was spotless and felt like a true retreat. This was the perfect escape for our family to relax, reconnect, and enjoy the holiday. We can’t recommend it enough. Whether you’re looking to unwind or explore, this home is an absolute gem. We can’t wait to return!

I had the most amazing time at Jospeh’s beautiful home in Turrialba. The house is stunning, the pool is clean and is a salt water pool so no harsh chemicals, the animals/fruit trees around the property are so entertaining. It even has hot water and a washer and dryer. The only suggestion I have is more towels and hand soap for the bathrooms. Thank you for helping us book excursions and being so responsive. Pura Vida

This place is amazing with the view and peaceful area. The fireplace was an added blessing. The caretaker Francisco was the best ever and always ready to help if necessary. Will definitely go back

Meli’s finca is a little piece of paradise. This area of the country is spectacular and the loving care that they have taken to retain the original charm of the house and honor organic farming initiatives is exceptional. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back

Cindy’s condo is the perfect retreat for a family, or for a group. It is incredibly spacious, with more room than the pictures can show. The view of San Jose was gorgeous day and night. The pool was public to the condo, and was heated. The drive Into San Jose was a touch longer than expected, but that was no biggie due to all of the other amenities. Lots of balcony space, on multiple levels have great indoor/outdoor experiences. Definitely would stay again.

Leidy was a great host. It was my first time visiting Costa Rica and she was very quick to get back to me with any questions I had. The place was great. I am a light sleeper but slept fine there. It is great for first time visitors. There is a grocery store in walking distance. They have nice restaurants downstairs, a nice gym, nice pool, an amazing view from the rooftop. Everything is right there and Leidy was great.

My family and I stayed for one night at Diego's place and it exceeded my expectations. The condo was clean and had everything we needed and more. The decor throughout the condo was beautiful, from the murals to the light fixtures and everything in between. Diego was very responsive and very accommodating. I would 100% recommend Casa Verde to everyone and will be back again in the future.

Hannah was so nice and helpful and friendly! Lots of info on the area and the country. she even helped me in trying to pronounce words in Spanish, spoke beautiful English. Thank you!

This place was an amazing retreat into the mountains after a long week in the humidity at envision. A beautiful place to decompress and relax amongst the clouds. Chema and Marga are amazing hosts, so kind and open with fascinating stories and insights into eco- living. The food is incredible— fresh local ingredients and made with love. I highly recommend! Definitely visit the nearby swimming holes / waterfalls as well. One of my favorite places to date!

The house was great, the location was gorgeous, and the activities around the area are endless. But, the real star was the concierge team. Hazel, Jorge, and Andrey made planning and coordinating our trip for a large group effortless. We had issues due to weather with our flights in and the team was immediately responsive to help rearrange shuttles, activities, etc. It would have been daunting without them. I cannot stress enough how much our group appreciated the team!

This is the best deal you can get. We had a group of 9 stay here and was very spacious. For the price you pay you get two trails on the property one leading to a waterfall. There are deer that you can go pet on the property and have a gate guard the whole time so you’re protected. Every single room has a view of the city which is tremendous sight to see. On top of that Chris, the grounds keeper, was very polite. He worked well with our check in considering we arrived at 3am. He knows the area well and has suggestions and always available to help with anything to need. If you plan to be around the San Jose are, this property/ AirBnB is a no brainer.

We really enjoyed our time at this beautiful property. You truly feel plopped in the jungle (but safe and like every thing was thought of for you!). We loved how much privacy we had from our other travel guests. The special touches like sound machines and diffusers, along with very comfortable beds/linens, and towels were great. You truly can slow down and savor your surroundings. Marta was such a special addition! Definitely have her make you breakfast. Her empanadas are delicious. She accommodated all of our food allergies and was so thoughtful. The area is a bit of a drive to the places you may want to go (mostly because of the long winding road the house is on), but the drive is filled with stunning views. We went to the beach (multiple times and locations, Hermosa was our favorite), waterfalls (our teens loved Poza Azul with a rope swing and clay rocks to ‘draw’ with also Catarata Uvita with a jumping platform and slide for the brave souls!) ATVing, Zip lining, and boating!

Spectacular hosts, they quickly become your friend! Andrea, his family and his home are a unique experience. The view, training room and all utilities inside the house are worthy of a luxury home, the unparalleled security and privacy of the place allows you to enjoy the fresh air and the view of the entire city of Cartago. Note: They wake up in the early morning and go out to the balcony of the master bedroom! They will thank me

Beautiful property and extraordinary views. Liberty was a very responsive and gracious host, we truly enjoyed our stay, the pool and the tower which was where we hung out most! Grocery stores and restaurants were available within a short distance, although we cooked a lot on property, we even got to experience a local festival.
