Great little house right on the lake! House was clean and very comfortable. It’s a little bit of a walk to the dock but you can see the water from the house which was awesome. Dock was great for hanging out day and night. Wish the water was deeper. Not ideal for swimming but great if you have a float. Water was probably about 4 feet and the ground was pretty mucky. Just a heads up that this isn’t the type of place where you can jump off the dock and swim. Nice for little ones to swim in though! All in all, we loved our stay! Host was very responsive too.

Had a fantastic time from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We are a young couple and like to travel with our 2 German Shepherds. Melissa was very accommodating for us and the dogs and we had an absolute blast just enjoying the pool, hot tub, and open grassy areas. The view of the stars when all the lights are off is unparalleled, we could see the Milky Way and counted 2 shooting stars our first nights and 5 the second. We will definitely we booking a longer stay, maybe even multiple next year! The only issues we had were 1) The internet and WiFi isn’t the best, it’s rural so it’s understandable. Don’t expect to run multiple devices and stream Netflix, but with the pool and views you shouldn’t need to. 2) Because of the size of the property, they had to mow for most the day, every day we were there. Not a big deal, but we normally sleep till noon, and were woken up once.

This home was just lovely. Super comfortable and perfect for our group of 3 adults and 4 kids. Trampoline was a huge plus! Directly across the street from a large park and a very very quick drive (could have walked) to restaurants and shops. Hosts were very responsive, flexible and friendly. Highly recommend!!

Truly, a peaceful getaway! The home is big and the beds are comfortable. We found it very easily and everything was as described on the listing. The location is very isolated but that made for amazing stargazing at night! The owner was very friendly and answered all of my questions in a more than reasonable amount of time.

I've stayed at quite a few AirBnbs. Some have been ultra luxe, some have been bare minimum types where I couldn't wait to check out. Others, like Jennifer's, feel like my own house. This place is just so comfortable. It reminds me of what AirBnb is supposed to be: people opening up their homes for others so that a stay away from home still feels like home. My family and I loved staying here. It was close to everywhere we wanted to get to and my kids loved the pets, which were easy to care for. It was nice to have exercise equipment available and the fenced backyard and trampoline and playground were a big plus for my kids. Jennifer was a flexible host who made sure I had all the info available to me that I needed. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful property and very comfortable. John was very friendly and helpful. The tour was definitely needed as there are many, many light switches in the house and neat features we wouldn’t have known about otherwise. Great place to stay and would definitely come again!

Ashley was amazing! When I told some issues she came and looked into it and fixed it ASAP. (Issue was very minor). The layout was great, sofas comfortable enough that you could sleep on them! Backyard was great for my two large dogs! Ashley was great! This is a perfect place for temporary housing or for like me for in between houses where I sold and had to wait a couple weeks until I could get into my new place!

Great place. Fit the budget, comfortable. Is in the hood but no issues during our 2 week stay. Great host for working with us especially since we were out here for work.

Our family decided to spend Christmas at this beautiful home. It was perfect. The space was just what we needed, everyone had their own space, and we didn’t have any major issues. Couldn’t have asked for more. With our kids being in the area, we will definitely be utilizing it again. Thank you for being such a great host!

This was a perfect place to visit son, who is at Fort Gregg-Adams. It was a nice, cozy space, and I loved being able to bring my two dogs. The house was as described. Prompt communication from the host. The yard was convenient and the house was clean. Would definitely recommend.

Such a great experience staying at Katie’s place! Everything was so clean and well thought out. We brought our dogs and they absolutely loved playing in the outdoor little fenced dog park—the perfect place for pets. Super cozy and accommodating. Will definitely stay again when we go back to colonial heights

Kingdom’s place was phenomenal, EXACTLY as pictured, and well stocked; especially the kitchen and extra linens. The home is huge and bedrooms spacious and decorated with simplistic elegance and charm. I loved having a washer and dryer conveniently located, yet hidden, in the upstairs bathroom. Each room boasted large closet space and a television which was perfect for settling in by yourself at the end of the night. The game room with its pool table, darts, and Simpsons arcade game was a huge hit during my stay. Having three total bathrooms and five total bedrooms was everything to me and my group! The backyard is huge and boasts a lovely deck to relax on and the decor throughout the home is beautiful in-person and well thought out. The neighborhood was exceptionally quiet. It snowed during our visit so some of the guests met the next door neighbors as cars were being cleaned off and they were kind and personable. It really feels like a privately tucked away luxury spot. Book NOW!!!

This is the third time we've stayed in Kim's home so it feels like home away from home. The home is well-appointed and spacious but cozy. The location is very convenient for us and there are a number of restaurants within walking distance. Kim is a very gracious and responsive host. We plan on staying again when we travel to the Petersburg area.

Katie’s place is fantastic! Comfy beds, great shower, relaxing outdoor space (we made s’mores several times), well-equipped kitchen, and fun family room! Would definitely stay again!
