We spent Christmas at Rodica's place and she made sure that it felt just like home. She managed to decorate for us and the place was spotless. Communication was great and whenever we had an issue or query she was very responsive and went out of her way to accommodate us. We look forward to another stay soon.

From the moment we booked Amber has proven to be an amazing Host with clear and precise instructions along with the feel that nothing would be too much trouble. The welcome feel we got when we entered the property was amazing. Beautiful log fire burning away, underfloor heating and a beautiful welcome pack of goodies were all waiting for us. The property is out of this world and the quality shone all around. We also ventured out to the nearby Griffin Pub which was superb and well worth a visit. Our stay at the Swiss Cottage was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking views surrounding the property, truly unmatched in their beauty. Glenys has thoughtfully provided everything one could possibly need for a comfortable and seamless stay, making it feel like a home away from home. I had the pleasure of staying here with my friends, and it proved to be the perfect retreat for our girls’ trip. The fully equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare our morning teas and coffees effortlessly, adding to the convenience and coziness of our experience. The location is also fantastic just a short walk down the hill, we found a wonderful selection of restaurants, pubs, and cafés, making it easy to explore and enjoy the local charm. Without a doubt, this has been one of our most memorable stays, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book the Swiss Cottage again on our next visit to Matlock. Highly recommended!

Jake was a great host, had no issues and everything worked as it should, really nice and warm too! I stayed at this property as it's really close to the motorway and had an early start to get on the M1, location was ideal and host was very accommodating, place looks like new! Would stay again.

Beautiful homely hut and very private and peaceful. Very clean and modern, great facilities. Great communication from the hosts, quick responses and very helpful. Would recommend to others and would definitely stay again.

We just visited and had the most brilliant time, the Airbnb was a walk from the Lincoln Centre and upon arrival we were greeted by great hosts who gave us a tour of the property and a few excellent recommendations. The property was perfect for the two of us and squeaky clean! The hot tub was great and very easy to use, we even were able to order takeaway to the cottage despite its quiet and obscure location. The bottle of bubbly left in the fridge for us was a perfect addition to the stay. For any cat lovers special mention for the two propriety cats who we absolutely adored! We would not hesitate to return one day in the future and will be sure to recommend to our friends and family for their own visits.

What a wonderful space to meet up with family and be able to relax. Jane was very flexible on having dogs and responded quickly when there was a plumbing issue that needed sorting. The weather was fab and we were able to make great use of the conservatory area. The house was warm and the hot water never ran out. Jane was friendly, helpful and accommodating. All on all a wonderful week for us to reconnect, in a beautiful area of the country with great walks and eating options to suit everyone. Haddon Hall is a must.
