Cottage holiday rentals in Crook

A second visit to this wonderful cottage and just what we needed. Peace and quiet, 3 great nights sleep in the very comfy bed, easy use of the hot-tub, some sunshine, all we needed to have a great time away from the usual daily grind. Massive thank you to Rach and Dave once again !

We had a wonderful weekend at The Nook. Everything was spotless and very welcome, felt we were in the lap of luxury. We were there during the very heavy snowfall so didn’t get to explore the local area but were happy just to stay in and chill by the log burner or laze in the hot tub, we didn’t feel the need to leave the house.

Lovely air b&b, as pretty as the pics. Very well set up for dogs, lots of towels and blankets left, wirh great walks right on the doorstep. Welcome cake was lovely and there was so many extra bits that you always need when you're away. Hot tub was a fab addition. Would highly recommend.

We had the most wonderful stay on the farm at East Rose Cottage. The cottage is lovely and cozy with amazing views of the chickens, goats and alpacas. The wood-fired hot tub is a great addition to the cottage. The fresh eggs were such a treat and we were kindly given some wine and chocolate upon arrival alongside some carrots to feed the alpacas! Debbie and Paul are fantastic hosts and nothing is an issue for them. We were so lucky to be able to bottle feed the baby alpacas which was an amazing experience. Make sure to book onto the Alpaca walk and talk during your say, this is not to be missed! Such a unique place to stay and easy to access. Very close to local shops and the city while being remote enough to feel away from the busyness of everything, a very peaceful and relaxing location. An absolutely amazing New Years stay.

We had a fab time at Stanley cottage. The accommodation is quirky & every inch of space is effectively used. The hot tub was easy to use & stayed hot for hours. The place was spotless when we arrived & Ben had even left us some milk & bread to get us started. Ben is an extremely responsive host, very friendly & always on hand to help. Before check in I had all the instructions I needed for a great stay. I would definitely recommend Stanley cottage

Four of us have just spent 3 nights in Peewit Cottage. From the moment we arrived, we all felt right at home, the place was spotless, beds very comfortable too! Everything you could possibly need for a self catering stay was provided. Having the private hot tub was fabulous, we loved it after full days of being tourists in the local area. On a separate note, we would highly recommend a visit to Beamish Museum which was about a 30 min drive, we also spent a day in Durham City & booked a 2.5 hr History/City Tour with walkaboutdurham - highly recommended. Tour Guide Peter is very knowledgeable & so passionate about his job plus he gives everyone a "free" cocktail voucher for Turtle Bay - well deserved after 2.5hrs walking around the City 🤣🤣

Stayed over night, 01/01/25, at Carey’s cosy cottage and we weren’t disappointed. Authentic country cottage but with all the mod cons. Very clean, warm and spacious rooms with electric storage heaters . Plus a very inviting coal fire! Carey is a brilliant host who possesses excellent communication skills along with a very warm welcome and homemade bread!! 😃. A definite thumbs up from me. Thankyou Carey 😀

Lovely cottage in the heart of Hawes, yet not noisy with traffic or people. Very comfortable and well equipped. Excellent host who was really responsive, friendly and flexible. Parking right by the property isn't always possible, but that didn't bother us at all... large car park 3 minute walk away and some on street parking nearby too. Would definitely stay here again if re-visiting Hawes.

Had a beautiful night at the puzzle cottage. Log fire and views were lovely. Garden is enclosed so perfect for the dog. Fabulous relaxed evening and beautiful waterfall to see in the morning sun! Thank you for hosting us at such short notice!

A lovely place to stay which really was home from home. A lot of thought & detail has gone into the service they offer. Would highly recommend booking here. Really attentive hosts, personal welcoming. It was absolutely spotless throughout. If Airbnb has a standard this should be it. 5 stars would definitely stay here again, thank you both

Very cosy and cute cottage with everything you need. Anna was very communicative and gave us very clear information. Great location in a small village with two pubs and a cafe, and walkable to Barnard Castle along the old railway line. Would recommend for a peaceful country break.

Great hosts who were friendly and always accessible if needed. Cottage was just as described other than the bathroom which was palatial so better! In village but just on edge so best of both worlds with access and privacy. Would definitely use again.

Abbey Hill Cottages to high above W. Hartlepool. They are well equipped.Beds are comfortable and so is sitting room furniture. Plenty of hot water. Good shower.Lots of space. I would stay again.

Debbie’s place was perfect! It was pretty, cozy and comfortable and the views from outside were spectacular as it is located on top of a hill. It was located close to several cute little villages and had some amazing walks around. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway

We loved our stay at Ed & Jay's cottage. The place is lovingly decorated and immediately made us feel at home. The kitchen is well equipped and the fireplace was a very welcome touch after a long (and wet) hike. Ed and Jay are superb hosts and very responsive - I highly suggest following some of the recommendations provided upon check-in: high tea and Sunday roast were outstanding!

Had an amazing 2 night stay. The property was spotless and as described. Lovely and secluded, and the horses were very friendly! Joanna was extremely responsive. I would highly recommend and would love to return in the summertime.

Fraser Cottage is in a great location and with easy access to pretty much everything locally (on foot) and more widely (public transport). The cottage is well appointed and equipped, plus it’s spacious. We had a great Christmas and much appreciated having the Christmas decorations up for us in the cottage. Thanks

The house was very good, we slept one night the house was warm and quiet, very good area! A good restaurant in the corner. John was quick response because we rent the last minute the room! Easy to park in front of the house I recommend his house Thank you John

Lovely house, perfectly located with so many added details which made our stay even more special. The location is great and the house was perfect for us and our newly walking 1 year old!
