Family Beach Side Holiday Dream

ChloeRating, 5 stars36 months ago
Fantastic beach house in an ideal location. Part of Sydney but it seems like miles away on this little peninsula between the lake and the sea. The house is very comfy and particularly suitable for kids, with 2 cubby houses and a swing set. Also loved all the kids books on the shelves. Well fitted out kitchen. Place was spotless, even down to the garden and laundry etc.

It was amazing. The bnb was so cute - lovely coffee machine in there and a cute little balcony. I loved the queen bed and slept so well. Thanks a lot to Candy - I am definitely coming back soon.

Quiet and pleasant accommodation about 1 hour by bus and train from downtown Sydney. The bus stop and a supermarket are in 3 minutes walking. Great kitchen equipment and a great coffee every morning. Super friendly and likeable host. Check in was excellent. The two small dogs are very sweet.

Located in the historic (and possibly most beautiful) part of Sydney’s CBD, Suzanna’s home is simply, Wonderful. Light, airy, spotless and perfectly appointed. Within an easy walk to fantastic restaurants and pubs in Millers Point and The Rocks. … and Incredible Views over Barangaroo, Nawi Cove to White Bay (sunset was spectacular). Topping it off is Suzanna is an Incredible Host - so responsive and welcoming. Suzanna’s home is my new ‘go-to’ for trips to Sydney. Thank you, Suzanna!

Coastal Holiday Apartment

StuartRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We had a lovely stay in this fabulous apartment over Christmas and New Year. The apartment is spotless, bright and spacious, and beautifully furnished. It is in a great location, a short walk to the beach in Newport and close to good coffee shops and restaurants. Mia is an excellent host, very responsive to any queries we had and gave us clear and detailed information about check-in process and local amenities. Lots of free parking spaces in streets so parking is no problem. I would highly recommend staying here and hope to be back next year for another two week stay.

Your guide to Cronulla

All About Cronulla

Cronulla is a beachfront suburb set on a peninsula 25 kilometres southeast of Sydney along the shorelines of Botany Bay. Known for its beaches, laid-back atmosphere, and cosmopolitan vibe, the town spans from Elouera Beach in the north to Shelly Beach in the south, with Cronulla Beach and North Cronulla Beach at the centre. A long esplanade connects Cronulla Beach and North Cronulla Beach, and both beaches are popular for surfing, bodyboarding, and kitesurfing. Along the esplanade, you'll find hidden ocean rock pools with calm swimming waters. The peninsula's southern tip offers stunning views of Port Hacking and Bundeena, a picturesque village and gateway to hiking, swimming, and adventure in the Royal National Park. Access to the longest continuous stretch of coastline and a short distance to national parks make it suitable for water sports and bushwalking.

Cronulla has locally-owned cafes and restaurants along the Cronulla Plaza, a pedestrian-friendly shopping mall, and North Cronulla foreshore. It is home to long-running music venues with many culinary options, nightclubs, and pubs.

The best time to stay in a holiday rental in Cronulla

Cronulla's year-round warm weather is sublime, and spring is no different. This is also the season when the city hosts the annual Cronulla Spring Festival with food and entertainment every September. Temperatures heat up in the summer, which makes it pleasant for spending time at one of the many area beaches. Stay at Cronulla accommodation apartments around Australia Day, and you can enjoy Opera on the Beach at Cronulla Beach. The short fall season is nice for exploring local artwork on the first Sunday of every month on the Bundeena and Maianbar Art Trail. June and July are the best times to spot humpback whales from Cape Solander as they migrate to warmer water.

Top things to do in Cronulla

Cronulla Beach

A five-minute walk from the Cronulla Railway Station is Cronulla Beach. Lifeguards patrol the long stretch of white sandy beach year-round, making for a popular surfing and swimming spot. The beach is also accessible for those who use a wheelchair.

Affectionately known to locals as the "Nasho" or "the Royal," the Royal National Park is one of the world's oldest national parks. With more than 100 kilometres of walking trails, the park is perfect for bushwalking. Try the easier Forest path, a 4.4-kilometre loop through enchanting rainforest, or tackle the steep climb to Jibbon Head for magnificent views of sandstone cliffs and the Pacific Ocean. The multi-day, 26-kilometre Coast Track winds through the park featuring unique flora, fauna, and birds, such as sea-eagles and honeyeaters.
