Holiday houses in Cork

Maureen is a wonderful host. We had a late check-in, she waited for us, told us how and what to use in the house, recommended places to visit, bought us food, which was very nice of her. The house is located on a tranquil street, but at the same time, there is a shop nearby and only about 30 minutes to the city center. All photos correspond to reality. The house has everything necessary for a comfortable stay, and we felt at home. Many thanks, Maureen, we had a lovely stay and will be happy to return to your home again!

This was a great stay. The host, Myra, was wonderful. We were greeted with tasty scones and a half dozen farm fresh eggs. Myra provided us with ideas for our trips and places to eat. It was a quiet, peaceful place to stay. She had a two inch thick book with stuff to do--hiking, castles and much Irish history. I learned a lot from the book and when I return. there's much in it I plan on exploring.

We had a wonderful time staying at Katie’s place! The house was lovely—clean, cosy, and well-equipped. The location was perfect for exploring- right in the middle of the town and walking distance from everything. Katie was brilliant and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. We especially loved the views from the back garden and the extra touch of hot water bottles and electric blankets in our rooms! Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting

This was a fantastic family house to stay in, very warm and cozy. We had a brilliant family weekend, wonderful old Irish style which was a pleasure to play family games and eat together in. The whole area had beautiful scenery. Lovely restaurants and shops short distance away. Would definitely book again and highly recommend to others.

I cannot recommend The Old Milking Stall (Tim and Barbara) enough!! I stayed there with my family for 4 days and it was more than we could imagine! Tim and Barbara themselves are so welcoming and helpful, they couldn’t be any nicer if they tried! They provide a thoughtful welcome hamper! And for their home it is gorgeous! So beautiful from the garden to the reading nook, it’s perfect for all! Their pet dogs being your friend is a bonus! If you need any help they are willing to do what they can from taxi advice to food recommendations! If you need a place to stay in Skibbereen, The Old Milking Stall is definitely the place to stay! Clinton was a great host, cottage was very clean and well equipped. He also helped facilitate taxis to and from the wedding venue we were in town for. Highly recommend.

We stayed at Rock Cottage in the middle of January and although the weather was cold, the welcome from Jacqueline and Jonathan couldn’t have been warmer. We received a tour of the property and grounds on our arrival, and the home-made banana bread and selection of local breakfast produce was very welcome after a long drive (there was even some treats for our dog Harris). The kitchen was well equipped, the bathroom large with a good powerful shower (again, there was some lovely local toiletries supplied), and snuggling up in front of the real fire on cold nights was very cosy. For warmer days, there is a lovely outdoor furniture set where you can enjoy the sun surrounded by well-established gardens. You have access to a laundry room with two washers and dryers, iron etc and this was fantastic especially for our extended stay. Jacqueline and Jonathan are friendly, responsive to any requests, have great knowledge of the area, and were most welcoming. Lovley stay.

Danny and Jessie's place was exactly what we wanted. A home away from home. Peaceful, remote, but easy to get to local towns and villages by car. And the garden is absolutely stunning. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Highly recommend.
