Holiday houses in Cooks Valley

Beautiful home with fun art and eclectic retro beach vibe. Had everything we needed for a 3 night stay, was warm and cozy with the fireplace. There’s plenty of room for 6 in 3 private bedrooms, plus there’s also a sofa bed in one of the two separate living room areas. Beautiful, serene and peaceful location and views. Lots of dear, frogs and geese roaming around, we could hear seals while we were enjoying the hot tub (which was hot and ready to go when we arrived)! 😊 This was a girls trip for 3 friends age 55-ish and we loved everything about it… we had foggy weather most of the trip- but still beautiful! We had a massage therapist (Rebekah at fruition wellness is amazing!!) come to the house and set up in the master bedroom, what a treat. Just a 5 min drive to downtown Mendocino. Great house, don’t hesitate to book it!

We had such a great time at this Shelter Cove Airbnb. The huge deck with a fire pit was an amazing spot to unwind and enjoy the ocean views and sunset. The yard was big and perfect for our dogs to run around and although it isn’t fenced in it was still a nice place to play. The backyard off the master was fenced in and had a nice little jet tub which was great for 1 or 2 people to sit intimately together. Inside there were plenty of spots to relax and the big dining table made it easy for us to enjoy meals together. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook which was really convenient. Plus the beach was just a short walk away so it was easy to enjoy the coast whenever we wanted. Overall this place had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Brian is great. he called us to find out what time we are arriving and gave us a tour of the place. We loved it. you must try the Pizza from avenue cafe very well made.

This is a very special place, gorgeous location and beautiful home, very thoughtfully set up and very comfortable.

Wow- What A View! was exactly as described, a great deal, and very enjoyable. We arrived after dark and had no issues finding the location and entering using the lock box key. We were able to bring our dog (loved this) and used the provided sheets to protect furniture. My absolute favorite part was the view from the kitchen and living rooms and the convenient walking distance to the ocean. We happened to be there at the same time as a storm and were able to witness some truly memorable waves. We ate at a few recommended restaurants in town and were also able to cook a few meals in. We played board games and enjoyed some time away from the hustle and bustle of life. Truly a great birthday present. Thank you!!

This was our second stay at Shannah’s and it was just what we needed. We had some pretty spectacular sunsets again and some amazing walks on black sands beach. Our little pup really loved sitting out on the deck and watching the goats and chickens and the early morning deer. The sounds of the ocean and the vibes of this peaceful little cabin are so relaxing. We stayed warm and cozy with the fireplace even though it’s still a little chilly this time of year. We hope to be back again. Thanks again, Shannah!

Great place to stay near Avenue of the Giants. Close to Redwoods. Very peaceful, clean and safe.

Great place, location, and everything— my wife and I brought our 1.5 year-old out to see the ocean and redwoods, and this was our home base. Super clean, and very peaceful. We saw deer in the morning and even seals off in the ocean. Thanks for the hospitality!

John’s space was exquisitely arranged with everything we needed. We appreciated access to the beautiful grounds that exuded peace and serenity! This space was appropriately called a sanctuary. John was available when we needed him, but provided us with privacy throughout our stay. We had basic breakfast foods provided and a well-functioning kitchenette. We were very comfortable throughout our stay. Thank you, John, for sharing your joy with us and others in this way!
