Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Chorafakia

For me, Eleanna's house is the house under the olive trees. It was 2 weeks in a small paradise on earth: you will find olive trees of course, but also cats, chickens, goats, sun, grandiose landscapes, but above all the Cretan soul that inhabits its hosts. Eleanna's whole family contributes to your happiness and that makes a difference in your stay. Of course, the apartment is spotless and Eleanna's little touches (everything for breakfast, bottle of water, wine and other treats) will delight you. To appreciate the area, a car is necessary. And even if the sea is not visible from the apartment, beach and beach restaurants are only about 400 meters away. Above all, be sure to sit at the Klapsinos taverna, a Greek cuisine by the sea that will seduce you. We arrived as a visitor but left with new friends. An experience to live once in your life.

On our first day in Crete we arrived at Georgios’ place. And it felt right at home. Gerogios welcomed us with a smile and even though we were a bit late because of a misunderstanding, we didn't feel any problem. The rooms were big and pleasant, Netflix and ps for the kids, lovely balcony to sit in and feel the breeze, and the kitchen had all we needed. The location is amazing, just a few steps walk to a beautiful beach with clear calm waters and nice sand for the kids to play in. along the beach there are many options for small restaurants with sun beds. the town was also a lovely place to walk in. a great experience in every aspect. totally recommend!

A truly incredible and special place to stay. The home is beautiful, spacious, and filled with art. The outdoor patio is filled with lush plants and offers a lovely space to sit. The location is perfect, very close to the port yet tucked away from the hustle and bustle. We can not speak highly enough of Valia. She made us feel instantly welcome; was very responsive and provided us with helpful information; and ensured the space has everything you may need. It was truly a privilege to have had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful house during our time in Chania. Thank you Valia for everything!

Giannis place is just perfect for a family wishing to stay right in the centre of old town Chania. The location just can’t be beat and the house is just fantastic and very well accommodated with enough bedrooms and bathrooms for a family with kids. I highly recommend Yiannis place.

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful villa. No car needed as within walking distance of local tavernas, small shop and beach. Bus stop just a minutes walk away with regular service in Chania and buzzing village of Platanias. We didn't have children with us but villa was child friendly with option to gate off pool and stairgate. The villa itself was spotless. Pool was cleaned regularly and was spacious. Had several sitting areas in outside space. Although we didn't do any cooking the kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need. The bedrooms were clean and spacious. The shower was amazing, powerful with no issues with hot water. A lovely touch was having some supplies waiting for us on arrival such as juice, fruit, spread. Sophia was easy to contact and responsive. We would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone. Thank you so much Sophia!

Fantastic, quiet spot that is quite spacious, warm, and bright. The kitchen and washing machine are a great bonus. The storm shutters make it so the bedroom is pitch-black in the middle of the day. Though it is slightly removed from the main strip, it is maybe a five minute walk away from the fountain. Perfect spot!

we really enjoyed thus house. It's exactly as described. Wonderful old town living with modern design. At first it seems like parking can be a pain. But once you realize that walking a bit is the norm for old town Chania, life can't get much better.

Had a great stay in Almyrida. The village was perfect for a stay with young children - shallow sandy beach, shop, restaurants (one of them even had a kids play area). The beach is mostly occupied by sunbeds from beach-front restaurants so you either have to pay €10 or carry your own (but it's probably 5-10 mins walk so a bit cumbersome). It is about 40 mins driving from Chania airport. We took a taxi on our way there which was €60, but it's probably better to hire a car straight away (which we did for the way back). Radu was going to help us with rental, but unfortunately let us know last minute he didn't have the children's seats that we needed. In the end we got a car rental locally for a better price. The house was good, had everything we needed. Nicely decorated. Three AC units were fantastic, definitely needed beginning of July. I would say more attention could be paid to cleanliness as there were dusty areas in the house and wrappers/rubbish under beds. Very quiet area.

We had an amazing time at this air bnb. It was our first time in Crete and we had the feeling the location was good for exploring the island. The airbnb was exactly how it is on the photos. It had everything we needed. The bed was ultra comfy. Best night sleep in a long time. Apostolis was a great host! He was very quick in answering questions and giving good Tipps for hikes and restaurants. We definitely recommend this place and would book again.

So happy to have found Villa Penelope! Excellent comfortable beds and pillows! To be able to open up the kitchen and living room sliding doors so wide and two of the upstairs bedrooms as well, gave us so much fresh air no AC needed and at night when we closed all doors they provided superb sound isolation too! Most of all appreciated the privacy and peaceful sleep this place provided! Even if I agree with the previous review in regards to some updates needed we still were so happy and enjoyed our visit very much! Host is great too with clear and quick communication - Thanks Anastasia!

Very nice house with its private pool, garden and the view to Kournas lake. The house was spotless, everything super clean and with all we need to feel at home (kitchen, games, pool inflatables…). There is a garage for the car. Our host Eleftheria is super nice, very responsive, with good advices and very kind.

fantastic house in a great little village. The view from property is amazing, especially from the upstairs bedrooms. The house had basically everything we needed and a few taverns within walking distance offering great food as well. we had an amazing week exploring the area and enjoying the sunshine.

We had a wonderful week in Chania! The house was exactly as described in the listing. The outside space was fab with lovely comfortable loungers and the pool was great. There was a lovely small beach and local Taverna within five minute walking distance. The Venetian port town of Chania was stunning. As mentioned in previous listings, Alkis was extremely helpful and friendly. He met us at the house on arrival and gave loads of recommendations which were very helpful. He was flexible about our checkout on the last day which was also extremely helpful. We would definitely go back!

Spacious and pleasant accommodation, the pool on the rooftop offers an incredible view of the sea and the mountains that surround the accommodation. Be careful though, nothing is close on foot, you must take the car to go for a restaurant, supermarket or go to the beach. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is your place to stay.

Nikos and Joanna were above and beyond as hosts. They were very responsive with our questions, helped arrange travel for us from the airport, and provided us with some pastries, treats, and water. Their place was absolutely beautiful. Our group of 7 had a wonderful time!

A fantastic stay! The house was spacious, quiet, and perfect for our family. We loved the beautiful garden, and the kids had fun visiting the small farm with chickens and geese at the back which added a unique and memorable touch to our stay. The peaceful setting made it a great place to relax. The host and his family were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our time there. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing, family-friendly getaway!

Unforgettable stay at Giannis villa at Kampoi. Spacious villa equipped with all necessities to have a hassle free holiday. A well decorated villa and super clean kichen and bed room. The villa is located in mountains with fantastic views to the White Mountains. Quiet area and we loved to walk and explore the surrounding and even offered a cup of coffee by kind neighbors. There is a top rated family restaurant nearby just eight minutes downhill. There is also a winary in just five minutes of drive downhill where you can taste different wines and treats while looking at breathtaking mountain views. I will definitely recommend this beautiful place to my friends and colleagues. Thank you very much Giannis.

Excellent. The Monastery is the perfect example of contemporary architecture and interior design. The proportions and visibility lines appear to be expertly planned and cleverly designed to guarantee peace, privacy and comfort from the heat of the day. Even more important though, is how friendly the staff were. We were made to feel welcome from the very moment we parked the car, and the staff could not have been more helpful. In particular, Meggie and Georgia went out of their way to help us. All of the staff were great though. The food was excellent, and the views spectacular. This part of Crete is incredibly beautiful and given the friendliness and style of The Monastery, we will certainly return.

Such a fantastic week at Villa Michail, Kalliopi was so welcoming and warm, giving us a full tour of the facilities, and Dimitra was extremely prompt in communication to answer any questions we had. The villa itself is high in the mountains, with exceptional views from multiple angles of the surrounding mountains and greenery. Kalliopi and Michail have renovated the property to a very high standard, retaining numerous features and belongings of when it has been passed through generations of their family. It made our honeymoon really special and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone else. Thank you again!
