Family-friendly holiday rentals in Chisago County

We booked three nights to accommodate extended family coming from Chicago and Duluth to celebrate my son’s graduation from UMN. This place was perfect for us! There was plenty of room for everybody. The kitchen, open living room area, and deck worked really well for entertaining. We threw a BBQ get together for my son’s friends, a huge success in this great space. The place is very well stocked with everything we needed. We also heated up the sauna each morning to start the day! Emily was very responsive to our every need. Thank you!

Brooke was a fabulous hostess for us and a very prompt communicator before and during our stay. The house was clean, well maintained, and check in was easy upon arrival. The check out instructions were simple and easy to follow. I would say the house sleeps 8 adults very comfortably with 3 fun bedrooms, a loft, and a dayroom off the pool; we squeezed in 10 and it was sufficient. We had plenty of bathroom space for all the ladies, which was a plus! The hot tub and pool were wonderful amenities. The price felt a bit high but it was a fabulous, well-worth it choice for our bachelorette who loves all things vintage.

Eric’s place was great! The kitchen was well stocked with coffee, seasonings and even a few small groceries items! The hot tub was easily accessible through the back bedroom patio doors. It was the perfect end to our day! Location was awesome as well, just 5-10 minutes from downtown. Would stay again!

We had a great time staying at Miranda’s home. Tons of space, really clean, and had everything we could ever need. I think this is the most well-stocked Airbnb I have stayed at. Miranda provided so many thoughtful items such as all of the essential kitchen supplies, games/movies, and bathroom items. The hot tub was amazing and there were even bath robes for everyone and extra towels. Would definitely recommend this place!

We were a family of 15 crowded around the dining room table for meals and into the living room for great conversation. There’s plenty of room to spread out. 2 1/2 bathrooms only minus for 15 but we made that work. We didn’t use the hot tub or sauna so I can’t comment on that. There were lots of little nice things like a jar of Oreos, nice soaps and good coffee. All much appreciated 😄

Amy Jo was a wonderful host and we felt right at home! The home was spacious and clean, the bed was comfy, and my little one had a blast playing with the toys and watching the ducks on the pond. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Jill was truly the best host. She was so accommodating and made us feel as though we were her top priority. She was quick to respond and was proactive in making our stay feel as special as possible. We highly recommend her property (s) and would love to stay with her again if we are in the area.

The house was very comfortable, clean and spacious. The hot tub was nice. The neighborhood was close to downtown but with space to go out and play catch or just enjoy the outdoors. Groceries and restaurants were nearby too. Would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you Sasha.

My partner and I were looking for a weekend getaway after a crazy couple of weeks and Doug's cabin was exactly what we needed to rest, recharge, and connect with each other. This is genuinely one of the most quiet, peaceful, and beautiful Airbnb's that we have ever been to-- no amount of time could have been enough! Doug was incredibly communicative and helpful throughout the entirety of our stay, and we were so grateful to stay in his space. I 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a hidden-gem that is tucked away, free of distractions and the hustle and bustle of life. (We also brought our Black Lab/Mix and he had the time of his life exploring the property and sniffing out the local wildlife). We will absolutely be back.

Beautiful home and the location is amazing. Right in the heart of everything. I would say the only downfall - the windows are older and not very soundproof and you could hear much of everything outside. Saturday evening was eventful until about 3am and then at 4:30am the city was emptying garbages. So if you are a light sleeper then bring your ear plugs. But overall 5/5 stars and would love to stay here again!

Richard’s place was an 11 out of 10! A comfortable, clean, well appointed, conveniently located accommodation! Richard’s communication was proactive and very responsive. As we stayed for over a week, it was so great to have a washer and dryer. It snowed while we were there, and Richard‘s snow removal service promptly cleaned up the sidewalks, parking area, and stairs up to the apartment. The offstreet parking put my mind at rest, too. I look forward to booking Richard’s place in the future!

Our stay was wonderful. It was as expected with plenty of extra pillows and blankets, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook with. The floors were creaky as listed, but we've always lived in old houses so it didn't bother us at all. For being such an old house, it was warm and cozy with no drafts. I would suggest opening a window when cooking so you don't set the fire alarm off, but it was good to know they were working! All instructions were laid out in a book on the table and easy to follow. Neighborhood is artsy and quiet with plenty to do within walking distance. Josh was very helpful and responsive, and gave us plenty of privacy. They even helped me find running trails since im unfamiliar with the area. We would love to come back!

I was in Minneapolis for a music teachers conference and found the hotel too expensive. Chris's place was less expensive and I was able to save more money by shopping for groceries and prepare them in his apartment's kitchen. The place was clean, the bed perfectly comfortable, the building historic and quiet, the room warm, and I walked to many local sites: the Sculpture Garden, Loring Park and Greenway, the Mary Tyler Moore statue, the Mississippi and Stone Arch Bridge, and light rail stops to get to St. Paul. It was a good choice for my purposes! It was a perfect stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful getaway at this cabin. It was just what our family of five needed. Beautiful location, great & responsive hosts and time in nature can’t be beat! Would love to visit again in the future- our kids and dog had a wonderful time.

Our stay was fantastic. Our family of 5 (2 kids and a baby) felt right at home here. Sarah was super responsive and helpful getting us in a little earlier due to our plans during the day. The house was so fun and had everything we needed. It was quieter than we expected which was really nice having the baby. Sarah went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed and answered all questions promptly. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Jane’s place for our newly minted annual thanksgiving family gathering. It was spacious, well stocked and was exactly as advertised. There was a lake within a 3 minute walk! We will definitely be considering this for our Thanksgiving spot next year!

We had a nice stay at the apartment. It fit our needs perfectly. It was clean, had comfortable beds, and was nice for a short stay in the area.

This is the second time we have stayed with John and Melanie. It was great three night stay. We may just do it again in 2025.

This was our 4th stay at Mel and John’s place. One our favorite Airbnbs. Very friendly hosts who are super responsive. Apartment has a fully stocked kitchen with all you need to prepare meals. Lovely neighborhood with great access to a large park with lots of great trails and access to other parks. Easy access for the Minnesota state fair

Nick and Michelle's place was fantastic! It is located in a great, upcoming Mpls neighborhood with walkable restaurants and galleries nearby. There is the fantastic Eastside Co-op for groceries just down the street. The place is depicted accurately and was spotless. We found it quiet (except for our autistic daughter!) with easy to find street parking. The kitchen was well equipped to offer family dinners - we cooked a lot here. There is recycling AND composting - which is important to us but hard to find in ABNB properties. The hosts live upstairs but were absolutely nonintrusive and respectful. We never missed streaming services because there were plenty of DVD options to fill our screen time. WiFi was fast and reliable. We wold most definitely stay here again!

We had such a great time. The place is wonderful, very comfortable and clean. The beds were comfy and the kitchen well stocked. We want to come back sometime when the lake isn’t frozen.
