Family-friendly holiday rentals in Chiltern District

Absolutely fabulous location, Caroline was a great contact and very responsive. We celebrated a 30th birthday and this was perfect for us all, with plenty of space and everything we needed. The only small thing to note is the wood fired hot tub. It really does take a good four hours to heat up, but once warm, it was great

A wonderful and peaceful haven. Detached from the world but not too far from the beauty of the Cotswolds. The place was cozy and snug and had everything we needed to truly switch off. Would definitely stay again…just for longer

Nev couldn't have been more thoughtful. The pool was wonderful. The location has loads of places in walking distance and a huge number of places by train and car. There were a couple of bits and pieces that didn't quite live up to our expectations, but Nev always worked to get round things and it's all immaterial really.

Close enough to things to be convenient but on a surprisingly quiet street. Every bed has some access to privacy. Debbie is so great at providing recommendations and letting you know what is what in the flat. A super great value in every way.

It was a perfect peaceful spot to escape reality for a few days - the hut is finished beautifully and was super comfortable for a couple. The surroundings were also a highlight in the winter sun. The kitchen was fully functioning and allowed us to enjoy an evening in cooking. The secluded nature of hut meant driving to every activity or restaurant but there are some great places around. The hot tub took longer than expected to heat up to a pretty mild temperature but we were staying in -5 weather and the hosts were attentive in helping with it. Overall, an ideal getaway in the country and would be happy to revisit.

Spent new year at the annexe and had the most relaxing and peaceful few days. Sally was a brilliant host. We unfortunately didn’t get a chance to meet in person but Sally was so responsive with messages, and so helpful and friendly as well. She was also incredibly flexible when we had to rearrange our check in time, and she even posted my wash-bag back that I left behind! The annexe was so cosy, it is the perfect place for a chilled trip away to rest and recharge. There’s everything you could need and we didn’t want for anything. Thank you so much Sally 😊

Had an amazing few days with my children and grandchildren We had some quality time together it was really cold but the rooms were nice and warm, we used all the facilities and went out a couple of the days but just wanted to get back to the fire pit where we toasted marshmallows, we brought all the ingredients to make our own pizza’s white and spend a couple of hours each day playing games in the bar, then the hot tub with all the bigger children it was an amazing start to our Christmas Fred communicated throughout and even brought us extra towels, I can’t speak highly enough of the whole experience it was magical Thank you Fred and Charlotte you were extremely accommodating we will definitely be back in the summer 🎄🎅🎁🎄🥰

Sally was an incredible host and the barn is absolutely beautiful. We had an amazing stay. It is so peaceful, beautifully designed and the small details like the robes and the toiletries provided that extra special touch. We all agreed it was 5 star through and through! Beautiful property and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. If you get the chance to book, do it! You’ll have the best time.

Jan was a great host. The annex is fully sufficient with all mod cons and well located for all amenities, with a separate entrance in and out and a parking space. It was an ideal place, me, my family and our dog when we stayed for nearly 2 weeks whilst having renovations done. It felt like a home from home. It made what was a stressful time and so near to Christmas, so much easier. Thank you Jan.

Beautiful cottage that was perfect for our stay. Super clean, cosy and comfortable. Felt like home from home. Great walks from the doorstep, including one into Stow-on-the-Wold, a lovely picturesque market town with a good selection of independent cafes and shops. All in all, a lovely relaxing weekend.

It was a lovely stay at a beautiful cottage. The cottage was everything we hoped for a little two day get away. We spent time on local walking footpaths and getting to know the local pubs. Our recommendations are; The Falcon, Ye Olde Reine Deer Inn and The Blinking Owl over the road. The owners of the Blinking Owl were lovely hosts, really traditional English pub and great food from Sylvia! We spent our New Years Eve there and it was a lovely evening. Couldnt have asked for a better stay. Mary was super helpful and responsive on the run up to the stay. We hope to visit again soon.

Had a lovely experience at Will's country gaff for a birthday weekend of close friends and a dog. We utilised the aga in the kitchen for dinner both evenings and found the house a lovely relaxing space with plenty of intriguing ornaments and lots provided to entertain. The little village of Lechlade had great vibes and plenty to do in terms of hiking, and the pub across the road from the house even had live music on the night we were there which was stepping back in time. All round it was a 10/10 stay and couldn't recommend it enough.

We spent Christmas at Jill’s beautiful old chapel and it was super cosy and had a well-stocked kitchen to make a full Xmas dinner/roast which was amazing! The Xmas tree and cake were such a nice touch too. Jill gave us great recommendations and was very responsive. Our stay was so peaceful and we loved exploring the Cotswolds! :)

We loved our stay at the Party Barn. Katie was incredibly helpful with local recommendations and letting us use her lovely warm pool (set hours in the late afternoon, but she also gave us lots of flexibility during the day around her swimming lessons). Our kids loved visiting the pigs and sheep. The barn was very comfortable and we felt right at home there immediately. I'm sure we will be back. Thank you Katie!

We spent two weeks, around Christmas and New Years Eve, in the lovely, cosy cottage and had a great time! The charming interiour, the Christmas decorations and the log fires made this a perfect Christmas setting. Rachel is a kind and helpful host, contact with her went smooth. We had a marvellous holiday and would love to go back sometime!

We were a family party with ages from 5 to 75 . Lots for everyone to do ( swimming , tennis, billiards/snooker & beautiful walks all there) There was enough space both inside the wonderfully converted barn and outside in the extensive grounds to enjoy each others company without being overcrowded. Thanks Sarah for enabling a lovely weekend .

We had an amazing stay at this charming cottage! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The cottage was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully decorated with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was fantastic—peaceful and private, yet close enough to explore the local area. Wendy was incredibly welcoming and provided great communication prior to arrival with recommendations for nearby activities. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a tranquil and scenic retreat. We stayed for a couple of nights close to Christmas, wonderful stay in this beautiful period home, with the village looking very pretty and festive. Having use of a sauna and pool, while it was frosty outside; made our stay particularly enjoyable!

We stayed in the barn for 3 months, and it was a perfect home for us. Rebecca was very friendly and helpful with all the check-in details, and was always on hand if we had any queries. The barn was very cosy, and perfect in every way. It was well kept and the kitchen was well equipped with everything you need. We were regularly greeted by a lovely dog and made good friends with the cat! The surrounding areas were great for country walks and there’s a lovely local pub as a treat. We certainly would return back to the barn in future. Thanks to Rebecca for her amazing hosting!

This was a lovely place to spend a couple of days with a group of friends. It's exactly as characterful and spacious as depicted in the photos, but also manages to be cosy, and we'll equipped.
