Holiday rentals with lake access in Cherokee County

An absolute gem and truly put us at ease as we decided to leave Florida during Hurricane Milton. A wonderfully hosted and amenity filled location that has everything you possibly need to enjoy a peaceful and serene stay. The thought and detail that went into everything in terms of layout, instructions, amenities, setting and design was fantastic. This was not an AirBnB, but someone's home and labour of love that they were able to share with the fortunate guests. My recommendation would be for guests to stop at the Walmart on the way prior to checking in so that you can stock the fridge/freezer, and never have to leave the place. We were able to use the BBQ, roast marshmallows in the fire pit, play billiards , family board games and even some competitive MarioKarts on the Wii in the basement. We look forward to coming here again!

Comfort & privacy is the name of the game here! House is located on the end of a road that dead ends to a state park, so there is not much traffic. It sits on land with some other campers & RVs that I assume are there for storage bc we had the whole place to ourselves! The house is comfortable, especially the upstairs bedroom & bed. Shower is small but has great water pressure! Kitchen is as well, but it had all the utensils needed to make meals. Washer & dryer a definite plus! Sitting area was open and welcoming. I appreciated so much that there was a high chair & toys for my daughter to play with while there. (Plenty of books & games too!) We enjoyed campfires in the back yard while our little girl played on the playground. It is a short walk to the outdoor area pictured on the listing and there’s no sidewalk, but hardly any cars. We weren’t able to use the outdoor area while there, but it looks like a great place for the summertime! Sara is kind & responsive. We have a nice time!

Overall this was a very nice lake house! Jessica was an amazing host, and the house and property were as described. Scenery is very beautiful. Kids loved the kayaks and canoe. Would recommend to anyone and would definitely stay again!

This property definitely gives you that home away from home filling. Nice, cozy, very spacious inside and out. we love the mountaineefield, tucked away on the hillside. Everyone already voted to book this home again. and 5 stars goes to Beth, our host who was excellent. Taking care of us days before I'll check in all the way to the end.Making sure everything ran smoothly.

Izabella's mountain home was a great getaway from busy a metropolis for a family that includes pets. Location is convenient to many mountain vistas and trails as well as lake and stream fishing. All communications were informative, succinct and timely. Great hostess and property was well maintained clean and neat with a very functional family layout.

The house was amazing. It has a beautiful view of the lake and the mountains in the background. It was well worth the price that we paid. I would recommend this to anyone looking to stay in the area.

My stay was peaceful and enjoyable,and Lynn was a responsive and accommodating host. The apartment is bright and cheery, with a fun, lake cottage vibe. Bed was comfortable and the drapes cut out light pollution at night for a peaceful night's rest. The location between Hayesville and Hiawassee is quiet, but you are just minutes from excellent small town amenities in those towns as well as Murphy, Franklin, Blairsville and Helen. Despite rainy spells during my stay I was able to walk in municipal parks or greenways in just about all those places. This is an ideal spot for singles and couples who like lots of activity options in a quit location. Highly recommend!

Basement apartment in a pretty neighborhood with lots of deer and squirrels to watch. 🐿️🦌 Darby and Tim showed consideration by leaving lights on for our after dark arrival, removing scented candles for our allergies, and running an air purifier. The self-check in feature was smooth and well explained. If you’re a heavy sleeper, this will be a perfect place to be. Since the stay is on a lower level, there is noise overhead, especially in the early mornings (people and pets). We had privacy and were able to be left alone unless we needed to ask anything. Very friendly hosts.

Margarita's place had everything we needed, and were looking for for an impromptu weekend getaway. It was close to the Jackrabbit trails, which we enjoyed with friends, and the lake. Plus, we enjoyed a bonus sunset drink, with some great food truck bbq, on the new dock bar! We would definitely stay again.

Adorable efficiency suite . Great view of the lake and suitable areas to walk our dog. Very clean and quiet. Was an easy drive into Hiawassee.

Had a great stay! While a bit remote, the house was really nice and exactly as pictured. It’s in a quiet and peaceful location on the lake. Bob was responsive and has the house well stocked. We especially enjoyed the kayaks and getting out on and exploring the lake.

This little cottage is an absolute gem! It's in an easy to find location, right on Lake Chatuge with a gorgeous view in all directions. Michelle was very quick, easy, and helpful to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The place had everything we needed to cook and grill, with super comfy patio furniture. The dock was perfect for fishing & sunbathing. The fire pit area was gorgeous and a great place to relax in the evenings and watch the sunset. We will definitely be back for another stay and recommend this cottage for anyone wanting a lakeside getaway and break from the busy world.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house has its own charm. The only thing that would have made it stand out more is a big fire pit in the back. The backyard is huge and the view of the lake and mountains was great. We always enjoy our stay on the lake.

My brother and I treated our mom to a weekend getaway to celebrate her 80th birthday. The “Flying Squirrel” was perfect! Great floor plan, beautiful interior design, comfortable beds, and plenty of thoughtful extras! If you’re looking for a true “get-away-from-it-all”….this is it!

Was everything described. Have stayed in many Airbnb’s over the years. This is a home away from home that we will navigate back to each year. Our lab loved the yard & the lake. Perfect location for hiking & adventures. Thank you Phyllis.
