Our stay was amazing. The views were breathtaking. Really good for a big family. Everybody had lots of space the place felt very welcoming. My kids loved the game room. We had a wonderful girl's weekend at this cottage. We were comfortable and enjoyed the hot tub.

This was our second time staying at the Nest in the Woods, so that says it all :) Sasha is a wonderful host and makes our relaxation and enjoyment a top priority. The space is warm and cozy with wall-to-wall carpet, fire place, hot tub and sauna. The perfect winter getaway. The view from the hot tub is expansive and soul-nurturing. Jeremy's home in the Kawartha's was absolutely perfect for our 2 families and young children. From the moment we arrived we felt so at home! The property is stunning, nestled amongst the trees, though wide open and bright- there is generous deck space, a lawn for kids to run around on (as well as a zip line, swing and hammocks!!) and a sweet meandering path that leads to a quiet lake and dock. The home itself has a comfortable, spacious and relaxed vibe. It's mid century, art filled and modern. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need for creative cooking, and the amenities in general are generous- from board games to water sports, sauna and hot tub. While there we had rainy days and colder days, but there was always so much to do and explore that every day was rich. This home would also be a perfect winter getaway.. maybe one day!

Eka was a great host. We made a last minute reservation and Eka was able to accommodate our needs. The place was very cozy yet spacious. The cedar sauna was the highlight of our stay. Everyone enjoyed it and wanted to come back. Thanks for everything Eka.

We had a wonderful stay at Chris’ beautiful cottage as 4 families with young children/babies. The space felt very spacious, yet cozy, which is a tough balance to strike! Everything was incredibly clean and there was nothing that we needed that wasn’t available. Chris was readily available for any of our questions from booking until checkout. We hope to come back again soon!

The cottage has a spectacular view of the lake. It is very spacious and up to date. The kitchen was well supplied with utensils, dinnerware, pots/pans, an air fryer and rice cooker. The dock area is in great condition, so it is a terrific place to relax in the sun, swim and fish. The stairs from the cottage to the dock has many steps, so my 84 year-old mother-in-law with bad osteoarthritis of the knees could not get down to the lake to go tubing. She was very happy to stay in the cottage and enjoy the view. The is only a short drive to Buckhorn with a Foodland and a Home Hardware to pick the items that you packed but left at home. Alex and Sophie were quick to answer any questions. Overall a really enjoyable couple of weeks.

This property was not as described. IT WAS SO MUCH BETTER! It was huge! Hosts personalized the entrance and made it feel like a home away from home. The hottub was outstanding and the thoughtfulness to the Airbnb and it's functionality was superb. The hosts kept to themselves and let us enjoy every last minute to ourselves. We heard foot steps upstairs maybe once or twice but besides that there's really not a single thing I can say negatively about our experience. We would like to visit again. Thanks Bonnie & Dave

hosts were very welcoming and friendly. the cabin was amazing and very private. a perfect getaway with a backwoods feel. the bed is comfortable and was very warm despite the cold weather. would book here again!

We had a great time at George’s house with our friends. We went there to enjoy the fall colors and this house is a perfect spot to enjoy fall colors near by. Kayak in the fresh lake water right behind the house is really good experience. House looks exactly shown in the images. I recommend this to anyone who want to enjoy time with friends and family in a peaceful location.

Just an amazing weekend. Noreen and Randy were great. Their daughter was also a delight. Just a beautiful area and so peaceful. Can’t say enough about how awesome our stay was. The property and cabin are so beautiful and comfy. The wood stove made for a warm and cozy evening with just the needed amenities to relax and unwind. Fishing little bald lake waters was super productive and visiting in local Bobcaygeon was so much fun. We will definitely revisit this host and their piece of paradise. Can’t say enough about how much fun we had.

we had a great time while staying here with our family. 3 kids 2 dogs and my wife and there was lots of room. no complains about the location and you're only 20 minutes from almost everything in the area.

Easy access. Clean and organized

Natalia and Evgeney were great hosts. They were both very responsive, friendly, and accommodating. Check-in was flexible and easy thanks to Evgeney, who did a great job at setting us up with our cabin. The cabin itself was exactly as advertised. We found it to be very clean. The view of Rice Lake from our cabin was great, and the area is really peaceful and quiet. Overall, we had a great time here! It was a perfect relaxing weekend.

Margaret seemed very nice, she left croissants in the kitchen for us to have in the morning. Overall a very cozy spot to stay and we had no issues. One thing I noticed is that there's an adjoining door that connects from her side of the building to ours and I'm not sure if it locks, maybe it does but I didn't see a lock option on my side. Anyway it still felt private and we definitely got what we paid for.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here - a quiet peaceful place in a beautiful cottage. The bedrooms were in different areas of the home so late-night TV watching from one room wasn't heard in other locations. The kitchen was gorgeous overlooking the backyard and lagoon, with a large family area just beside it. We really enjoyed the use of the kayaks and paddle boards. The two hosts - Darla and Dave - were wonderful and gave us a quick tour of their place when we arrived, and quickly responded to a text message while we were staying there. Lovely place, highly recommended!

Justin was a super responsive and helpful host even for messages after midnight. Very spacious place. Felt like a home!

The cabin is really nice, not too close to the other cabins near by. Dishes and silverware were provided which was nice, and a mini fridge as well. We brought our own portable stove as there is no oven/stove at the cottage, and everything worked out perfectly. We stayed in cottage #3 which seemed closest to the beach area and access to kayaks, canoes, paddles, etc. Front desk was very nice and supportive when we asked to have the beach shed unlocked for us to go canoeing. Golfing is also a really fun thing to do on site! We rented clubs and golf carts and had a great time. No complaints! Nice and quiet area to go with friends, family, or as a couple.

We had a great time Gord’s place!The cabin is spacious, cozy, and functional with a fully equipped kitchen and two full bathrooms. Great location with easy access to the pool and a beautiful view of the lake where you can enjoy stunning sunsets right from the deck. The grounds are meticulously maintained with beautiful flowerbeds and ample lakeshore space, very quiet,creating a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. Gord and his family are exceptional hosts—friendly, respectful, accommodating, and quick to respond to any questions we had. Gord even offered a flexible check-in time and provided two heaters for a couple of chilly nights. His local recommendations for nearby attractions were also greatly appreciated. Additionally, their thoughtful gesture of providing a play kitchen structure with toys made our toddler incredibly happy. We highly recommend Gord’s place to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. Thank you for a memorable stay—we look forward to returning!
