Our stay at Haylie and Chris’s place was absolutely amazing! The location right on the river was breathtaking—we loved waking up to the serene views and enjoying the peaceful sounds of the water. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Haylie and Chris were outstanding hosts, so welcoming and attentive, making sure every detail of our visit was perfect. This was truly a getaway to remember, and we can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and unforgettable stay!

Vee’s home was great and just what we needed as we stopped for the night during a cross country drive! Vee was very responsive and answered any questions we had. Highly recommended!

This home was perfect for me and my family. We had plenty of space to enjoy one another’s time together. The home was very clean and had more than enough amenities. The host was very nice and responsive the whole time during our stay.

This lake house was so cute! It was clean and organized. Any questions I had were answered very quickly. Loved that fact that we could take a 5-minute walk into town and go to the local cafe for meals. As our stay was not for vacation, we didn't make full use of the river/kayaks but it looked like fun and we enjoyed the porch. If you are not used to trains going by at night, bring a sound machine. I was very glad I had one. The pictures are accurate but you should be aware that the stairs to the loft bedroom are located in one of the downstairs bedrooms. The only full shower is located in the third bedroom. We just weren't paying close attention to realize this. All in all, very nice home to stay in, but there is little privacy because of the stairs and the shower, and also because the loft overlooks the living room/kitchen so the sound and light travel right up. We were 6 people flying in from 2 states staying for 3 nights for a family funeral so this suited our purposes nicely.

Felt just like home, the host was very responsive, and the kitchen had everything I needed for family dinners! Love the place and will definitely be back!

Great location near grocery stores and restaurants

Another wonderful stay for a sad occasion. We were in town for a funeral and needed somewhere we could bring our dogs. the neighborhood is incredibly quiet and the home is incredibly comfortable. 2 br/2 ba with large tvs in the bedrooms in a very comfortable home for what it would have cost to stay in a hotel. We always book with ami when we are in manteno.

This is a beautiful location being on the river and a beautiful quiet neighborhood. The streets were enjoyable to walk around and the view of the river was relaxing.

Michael was very accommodating to what we needed and very quick to respond if we needed highly recommended staying here.

We needed a big place to accommodate a fairly large group; eight adults, six children, and two standard poodles. Sarah's place fit the bill nicely! Our visit was in winter, so we appreciated being able to use the gas fireplace. There was ample room for people to move around, as well as enough places to sit. The kitchen is central and nicely outfitted. The beds were comfortable. The house is in a subdivision that has a large pond (small lake?) in the middle. I didn't think the water frontage would be a benefit this time of year, but with hundreds, if not thousands, of migrating Canadian geese flying in and out of the water, it made for an interesting spectacle to watch. We were very pleased with the house, Sarah, and the overall experience. Thanks, Sarah!

Beautiful house and surroundings. Great place to relax with a large family gathering. Lots for kids to do inside and out. We enjoyed the pool, fire pit, and sports areas. Hosts were very responsive and friendly.

Jeannette's place was an older home as described, but it was very cozy and felt like a nice family vacation cabin in a nice peaceful location. We had the best sleep at her cabin. There were actually 2.5 bathrooms, which was a nice surprise and made it easier to get ready in the morning. She also had standard cable which was appreciated, considering most airbnb's now have you use your own streaming accounts with no access to TV channels. Also, filtered water was provided. A nice location to stay in the Chicago area - we would stay there again.
