Holiday houses in Charon

This spot was perfect for us - family of adults with children - to visit with family in New Iberia that live about a block from this Airbnb. There were enough private spaces for each of us to have our own rooms, the beds were comfy enough, and the space was just as described. That said, Center St is loud - cars with loud stereo systems, the train runs several times a day, and there are some interesting characters around. It was fine for us, because our family lives down the road, but just a PSA for anyone that might not need to stay in downtown New Iberia. Lane was a great host, very helpful and responsive. The AC seems a bit weak, and that’s speaking for December in Louisiana. I’d be hesitant about how well it can cool off the place during the summer. It seemed like the temp on the thermostat wasn’t accurate to what it felt like in the place. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay.

A charming, well kept and cared for cottage with beautiful furnishings (the antiques and rugs!) set in the historic district and walkable to restaurants and scenic architecture. We would absolutely stay here again! Janna was a lovely and gracious host, and has thought of everything for an enjoyable stay.

Crystals place was great; a definite getaway, it was cold and raining during our stay so we couldn’t utilize the pool, but the home itself was a great vibe! We would definitely stay again.

Great space for our family trip. We were in Lafayette to visit family and the house was perfectly size for our family to stay (4 adults, 5 kids, 1 baby). Everyone had plenty of space and that was in the main house. Overall it was a great value and perfect for our family Thanksgiving trip.

Everything was very nice . Pool area had some things that did not work… too many vines on gate made difficult to access. Electrical issues in gazebo ( stereo/light/ fan did not work). Pool toys along with playground equipment was much appreciated. Enjoyed upper deck/porch. All in all very nice. Kids had a great time!. Thank you for making it a pleasant stay for us!

Great location, close to restuarants. Host is very responsive and easy to work with. Airbnb has a nice comfry bed and huge bathroom. We messed up our booking initially and the host was very accommodating and checked up on us while we were there. Its a very quite area. It is located right behind thier home, just a note for easy location.

This was a truly stellar stay. Well located just minutes from downtown Breaux Bridge, it provided the perfect base for exploring Acadiana. The home was spotless and so well organized, and Mona was readily available to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed our time here very much and will return again when we are next in this area.
