Family-friendly holiday rentals in Channel Islands Beach

This place was just as beautiful as the pics! Remote and private, definitely worth every penny! Neighborhood was very calm and quiet, just what we were looking for. Adam was an awesome host! Any questions or concerns, I received a response quickly. The house was beautifully stocked, clean and just what we needed for a big family. We were able to have our own space and eat together in the big open dining room. Everything was perfect. The list in the guidebook helped for when we needed food suggestions. And the hot tub a big plus for the cold. We went for a wedding and were 15 mins out from the venue, it was a big help to be that close to just run back and forth. If weʻre ever in the area, I would not hesitate to book with Adam again. Thank you!

Small but efficient for us two. Great location in Carpinteria. We usually camp at the state beach but opted not to this year. Had everything we needed. Pool and spa were great. Complex was peaceful and other residents and office staff were very friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking in gated lot and the spots had plenty of room for our truck and there were bike racks inside the parking lot for locking up our bikes that we took. We only used our vehicle once it was too dark for bike riding, otherwise we biked or walked. Husband fished everyday for several hours while I got to sleep in, relax, watch tv, or walk up the street for shopping. Farmers Market on Thursday was great for buying fresh fruits and veggies and flowers.

A really lovely gem in the hills. Great retreat for family time. Mine loved it…even the grandchild said it restored his juices.

This place is fantastic, it reminded us of a small Spanish villa. The views were stunning, it was very private, everything inside was proper quality and the hot tub was the cherry on top. This place will always be special to me, I proposed to my girlfriend here so we’ll definitely be visiting again. If you’re looking for an amazing get away in Ojai this is the perfect choice.

Cindy was a great host, and we really enjoyed our stay at her place. The apartment was just as described: cozy, private, and ready for us. Cindy’s clear communication and care made everything simple and pleasant. We also noticed and appreciated the thoughtful touches that made the stay extra nice. It was a bit of a trek up the hill but the instructions were very helpful and the most friendly and helpful hosts! Loved Catie's place for its outdoor serenity, beautiful interior and thoughtful decor. I love that it felt homey and lived in with a gorgeous bookcase replete with books, magazines, light-filled spaces, while also feeling like a state of the art airbnb with its cleanliness, peaceful and rustic outdoor spaces, and overall vibe. My cousins and I came to both see Ojai and hike in the Channel Islands so Catie's place was an ideal base. We were able to do some great hiking nearby in Ojai (even saw a mama bear and two cubs), have a Spa day, eat great food nearby, spot a celebrity, and take a day trip to Channel Islands. It was alway reassuring to know at the end of the day we would return to Catie's beautifully appointed serene home. Would definitely stay again.

Robert And Arlina were fantastic and so accommodating we fled the la fire and Robert and Arlina went on and above to help us feeling safe and so well taking care of the house is fantastic and so close to the beach i really appreciated that every room had a tv, so it was easy to follow the news and see how the la fire developed i can really recommend staying here you will never find a more accommodating hostess

The host Linda was very responsive. We were evacuated due to the Palisades and other wild fires, and we were very disappointed! But Linda called in the middle of the night telling us we had to leave. Power went out eventually in the unit and we returned quickly to retrieve all of our belongings. We were able to go and stay with friends we were supposed to be visiting. Since the situation was so terrible, we arranged to leave early for our second destination and Linda was very gracious about refunding our early departure and Airb&b was very helpful and refunded our entire stay. Hopefully, when we return for our son’s wedding in May we will have the full experience!

Angela’s place was exactly as she described. We enjoyed the quiet solitude and privacy. It was also easy to find and the location was also very convenient to visiting Ojai and enjoying the restaurants in the area. We would certainly recommend a stay at Angela’s.

We absolutely adored this hidden gem! Jamie made us feel right at home and the space was perfect for us. Lots to do and see in Ventura, we explored point dume which was a quick and stunning drive down the PCH. Jaime’s two dogs were adorable as well, Hank and Bookie i believe were their names and it was a pleasure to have them greet us :) thanks Jamie we can’t wait to come back again soon!

Sandra’s place was wonderful! It is a cozy little cottage and great deal for all the amenities she offers.

We loved our stay here. Very close to the neighboring cities of Ojai and Santa Paula with grocery stores and restaurants. The kitchen/living area was very spacious and had everything we needed. We had issues with odors from the toilet but we contacted the host and they were very quick to resolve the issue! They also included a user guide for the wood fired pizza oven although we didn’t end up using it. The creek right next to the trailer was in full effect and very relaxing! I would definitely recommend Szilvia’s relaxing stay.

We had a great time here! Booked very last minute and ended up being almost perfect! Main pros were location, beach access, provided beach toys, very comfy bed. The view is exactly as depicted in photos. So not completely oceanfront but can see and hear the ocean just fine. Construction noise as mentioned in other reviews was not an issue for us. Very cozy small place, worth the price for location. And was very clean. We had issues with the grill which was a bummer but they came and fixed as soon as I mentioned. One thing to note is the sofa bed was very basic. Great for our kids but would not recommend putting an adult on it. Also I was very confused by reviews stating the kitchen was very well stocked. That threw us off as we were planning on cooking every meal. No mixing bowls, and exactly 4 plates, 4 cups, 4 bowls…next time I’ll bring paper plates for serving etc. Would definitely come back! Look forward to booking again.

Overall a great place to stay in Malibu. Ideal location on the beach with its own private entrance. The house was complete furnished as described. If you plan to airbnb keep in mind that this place uses a septic tank. If you are not used to the smell of the septic tank it may throw you off. It wasn't a nasty smell but a unique odors that we needed to address occasionally with candles and airing out the unit.

Our stay at Christine and Dennis’s place was top notch. They are wonderful hosts. Their place is cozy, clean, and quiet. The agricultural ambience of Moorpark is refreshing too. It makes for a great home base while staying on the outskirts of a huge city. It’s close to some great dining as well. Check out Magma Pizzeria. It will not disappoint.

Love the airstream! Such a beautiful property, friendly host, gorgeous views, nearby hikes, and wonderful location are just a few things we adored here. If anything came up, the host was quick to meet our needs and go above and beyond.

What an absolutely lovely place to stay. The moment we opened the door I was in love!!! We could not have asked for more…close to the beach, private and tucked away, beautiful and stylish decor…we can’t wait to come back and enjoy the pool!!!

Carma and Ralph were lovely host! The AirBnB was super clean and they were quick to respond when we had questions. Easy access and centrally located within the Thousand Oaks and surrounding areas. Would totally stay again at this lovely house!

This place is very close to everything. It’s also very spacious and clean. Had my own parking spot which I appreciate very much. Super convenient if you need to grab a quick bit or even if you need to grocery shop. Michael is also very attentive and responsive.

Second time with this host, very attentive! My crew has felt at home both times we reserved!
