Cottage holiday rentals in Central America

We had a wonderful week at Casa de Montana in Zarcero. The house is beautiful in a beautiful location. We especially loved the balconies with gorgeous views and that we could walk to restaurants. All of the hosts were incredibly attentive and helpful. I highly recommend this house for an amazing stay in the mountains of Costa Rica!

Amazing time and views and host

Beautiful nested place in the mountains with a magnificent lake Arenal view. Unfortunately, we had terrible rainy weather and could not really do much but the place was perfect even when we lost power. Highly recommend and Ericka was always ready to help! Great hosting and stay!!!

We’ve stayed in many lovely, out of the way Airbnbs in Panama and can honestly say that this one is by far the most comfortable and beautiful that we’ve stayed at. The cozy house was very welcoming and had everything we needed plus more. It was wonderful having so many seating options outdoors in the gorgeous yard … and those spectacular views! Try the outdoor bathtub- so fun - and great for pictures too. This has truly been one of the most peaceful and relaxing getaways that we have ever had traveling. Can’t wait to return one day.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at Julio’s beautiful house. This time we went with friends to celebrate a birthday, all of them have lived in Costa Rica for decades, but were unfamiliar with San Isidro. They all were truly impressed by Julio’s property, its magnificent views, peaceful surroundings, large and gorgeous gardens, and the thoughtful way the house is managed. Jorge, the caretaker, was helpful and friendly. We took our friends to Bonsai Mundo just down the road, an outing that we highly recommend. Thank you for everything, Julio and Jorge! We hope to be back someday soon.

We were only here for two nights but this place was absolutely fabulous with an astounding view. And the hot tub was the cherry on top. The grounds were also beautiful and we enjoyed the unexpected sound feature from the nearby waterfall as we slept. The house had pretty much everything we needed for making breakfast and a nice bathroom/shower. If you're in the area for whitewater rafting I highly suggest Tico's Adventures. Robertico and his son run an amazing tour.

We had a wonderful time (even though it rained solid every day but one), because Jose and Laudillo went out of their way to welcome us, and treat us like family. Their kindness was so very appreciated. They also shared recommendations for restaurants, and things to do in the area. Every one of them turned out great! The location was not in town which was nice and we felt very safe in the neighborhood and walked down the road to the local bodega a few times. Downtown Fortuna is only 10 minutes away by car. The pictures (which are beautiful) don’t do justice to how amazing Erick’s property is. The views are stunning and every detail of the casa is so beautiful. The woodwork is gorgeous and the casa itself is spacious and comfortable. And the deck!!! We had a great time lying on the net overlooking the jungle or sitting in the super comfy swing or enjoying the jacuzzi tub. We will remember our stay at Casa Verde with very fond memories. One of our best Airbnb stays ever. You will not regret staying here!!

Everything was amazing!! Diane and Neal were super friendly and helpful with great recommendations. The pool was very refreshing and had an amazing view of Lago Arenal. Definitely one of the nicest places we've stayed!! Highly recommended!

We had a lovely family holiday at Jose's place. He had taken care of every small detail and the place was as nice as in the photos. Parking was a little tight to get into, so consider when visiting with big cars. I would definitely recommend and go back to his place!

Very beautiful house, very secure and private. Lots of greenery outside. Long covered back yard with grill and full outdoor furniture. Someone can stay more than a week and enjoy tropical weather. This is an absolute worthy and awesome stay, I would highly recommend it.

Beatiful and peaceful place to relax

We had a wonderful time staying at Alma del Rio! We wanted to be more off the beaten path and have a good place to launch for our personal excursion to Caracol and this was perfect. Hadas met us at the house to give us all the details and most importantly, places to eat and how to plan for our day to Caracol (tip, Carmz is fantastic for breakfast and you don't want to miss it!) After a long day to Caracol, we had dinner at The Bluffs where we met some locals that were very friendly and entertaining - even getting invited to join into a game of darts! We didn't get the chance to partake in the river as it was high and a bit fast, but the location is lovely and sitting in the upstairs balcony area listening to the birds and monkeys really makes you feel like you're in a jungle treehouse! Perhaps the most fun part of the house is the outdoor shower - so spacious and a gorgeous area, you feel like you are in a spa! Loved staying here!

I truly enjoyed my stay here. Just the perfect getaway. The hot water was a pleasant surprise. Sheree was very responsive and the groundsman was absolutely friendly and inviting. The river was perfect and the space was magical.

The place is perfect to get out of the routine and enjoy a quiet atmosphere, the gardens are beautiful, perfect for reading and meditating. In addition, Bruce is very friendly and supports at all times by resolving inquiries.

Stacey and Avon have created something incredible. This house exceeded all expectations. You truly feel like you’re in the jungle. I spent hours in bed just looking outside at all the animals passing by. It’s only a 2-minute walk from one of the best surf spots in Bocas. The shower is wonderfully warm! From Wednesday to Saturday, they run a restaurant on the same property with amazing food. We ate there every night. Avon replenished the coconuts daily so we could drink coconut water whenever we wanted. And above all, Stacey and Avon are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and just great people. Book this place – you definitely won’t regret it! What an experience.

Mi Casa es Su Casa offers a great combination of privacy in a beautiful setting and access to local amenities. We easily popped into Bijagua to a grocery or restaurant, and quickly returned to the quiet of our accommodations. We particularly enjoyed eating or lounging on the porch. Access to the nearby (walkable) Casitas Tenorio offered optional breakfast plus an open-air view of the forest and many bird species where we spotted our first Toucan and MotMot. Jeffrey and Nana as well as other staff were warm, friendly, and supportive during our stay. Tons of well-developed information books on area flora, fauna, and attractions. Jeffrey made reservations for us at area activities (highly recommend the nearby Hanging Bridges). Accommodations worked well for our family of 5, especially having two bathrooms. It rained quite a bit, but that's what makes it a rainforest. Note that rainfall on the roof at night could be distracting. Overall, we will remember our visit here fondly.

A sweet and spacious cottage on a beautiful property, with a pool outside the front steps, and a short walk from the beach. David went above and beyond accomodating us with an early check in and late check out, personally made sure our place was in good shape and gave local recommendations. We are very fortunate to have spent our Christmas there! Thanks so much David!

This is the most possible beachfront a person can get! The beach is literally your front yard! Beautiful, well equipped, clean air b n b. Belizean people are so nice!!! The food is great, there are tons of grocery stores in addition to restaurants, and the ice cream at Chillpoint is amazing as is the gelato at Tutti Frutti in the village! We highly recommend renting a golf cart to get around the island, as is a half hour golf cart ride to get into The Village. Flowers Rental arranged a taxi to pick us up at the placencia airport at our request and the air b n b is about an 8-10 min. car ride from there. Captain Jack’s, who we rented our golf cart from, had our golf cart dropped off and waiting for us at our air b n b by the time we arrived. We took the kayaks across to False Cay, the island you can see straight ahead from your front door, and it was a 20-30 min. paddle where we did some snorkeling. We borrowed snorkel gear from the hotel next door Azure Del Mar.

We found this Little Cottage to be a wonderful place of respite. A tranquil, relaxing setting was exactly what we needed and we were so grateful to have found it. A few maintenance issues were quickly resolved thanks to communicative host. Conroy was a great help as well and we did a bit of food shopping nearby which allowed us to prepare simple meals. The water is rather deep so it’s important to watch the tides and be confident in one’s swimming abilities. WiFi was superb and the shady hammock, covered porch, and outdoor seating allowed us to spend most of our time outside even when it rained.

Our family stayed at Jillian’s Airbnb from January 3-6, and it was absolutely amazing! The house was equipped with everything we could possibly need—from a pin to an anchor. The accommodations were perfect, with all rooms being clean, comfortable, and problem-free. We felt incredibly safe and comfortable throughout our stay, and accessing the house was seamless. Thank you for making our trip so enjoyable—we would highly recommend your Airbnb to anyone looking for an stress-free and relaxing experience!
