Chance Escapes

GemmaRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Comfortable well-equipped modern house a short drive from the coast, Bridlington, Flamborough, Filey etc. We also walked from the coast path back to the house across the fields. House is mainly comfortable although small double is, as described, a small double bed - so this room is not really sufficient for a good night’s sleep for a couple. Kitchen is well-equipped and there is plenty of parking (3 cars possible).

Outstanding detached holiday home ..

JoanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Beautiful house in the upper part of Runswick Bay with easy access to the beach and Cleveland Way. It was perfect for our family reunion (six adults and 4 children). it’s a large dormer bungalow, maybe a little dated but with modern bathrooms and well equipped kitchen which were spotlessly clean. Despite it being the coldest weekend in Britain for 10 years we were cosy with central heating, extra oil filled radiators and wood burners. Susan was the perfect host with good communication and many thanks for leaving us plenty logs. The toys which are mentioned in lots of reviews were great for the children. They even ventured to the bottom of the garden to the play area which was fantastic but too cold to stay long. We would love to stay in this house again maybe in the summer months to take advantage of the beautiful garden, eating al fresco and taking in the views of the bay and Kettleness in the distance.

Beautiful 2-Bed Home Close to the Centre of York

DavidRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Located near to the train station and with about a 15 minute walk to get into the centre. It was freezing temperatures outside yet the bedrooms were warm and the area was quiet at night. Mattress and pillows were excellent, my only regret was not finding out who made them so I could order them for my home. Although we didn't really use the kitchen it was very well presented and the coffee maker was most welcome. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend with the only minor gripe being the check-in(4pm) and check-out(10am) times.

The tastefully renovated kitchen diner and lounge are extremely attractive with all of the equipment and facilities we needed. Spotlessly clean and lovely and warm , especially welcoming for our winter visit. The younger family members loved the games room. A really great stay , thank you!

Character 5 bedroom property

If you’re staying in Pocklington then this house is fantastic. Huge! Clean! Warm and cosy. All the mod cons. Really really exceeded our expectations. It’s just a couple of minutes walk from Market Place. Only comment is that maybe there should be fans in all the bathrooms…otherwise, it’s like Dr. Who’s Tardis…way bigger than you think. Loved it.

Rosedale Light Shepherds Hut!

CharlotteRating, 5 stars1 month ago
My partner and I stayed for 1 night, we know the area reasonably well due to hiking / running here often. Maggie was super helpful, flexible with our check-in and gave us recommendations on hiking / routes etc. Everything was clean and tidy, kitchen/ shower facilities were immaculate and a heater provided due to being an out-house. Which personally I loved, gave a nostalgic feel to the place. Everything you need is provided. Accommodation is off the beaten track, on a working farm with incredible views! Maggie also has a cafe the open during summer, and we had breakfast on site which was super tasty! We will most certainly be back, to stay & to visit the Cafe! Thank you, and see you soon!
