We were guests of Mr. Francesco alla Formaggera for a week. La Formaggera is located in a unique place for the landscape that surrounds it and a little enchanted by the saturated atmosphere of history that you can breathe in it. The house is simple, but delightfully furnished; the kitchen is well organized and equipped with everything you need and you can have lunch and dinner outside, cool. Far from the chaos, you can rest in the shade of the pines, surrounded by prickly pears and Calabra nature. The beautiful pool and its covered patio, much appreciated on warm days, are certainly a strong point. The sea is close and in the nearest town there are supermarkets and many other shops including the excellent Lagani dairy and the nearby pastry shop. The village of Badolato, a few kilometers away, is worth visiting.

Very nice, comfortable and cozy place. In perfect mountain cabin style and tastefully furnished in every detail. Super cleanliness and services! We were amazed... it felt like you were in the hotel. We found everything we needed... my partner and I enjoyed a weekend in maximum relaxation and comfort. Beautiful idea of the welcome breakfast with ginseng coffee pods, barley, etc. , to herbal teas and juices with local cookies, biscuits,jams, honey and more .. to the bathroom kit with soaps and headphones and even toothbrush and toothpaste. The location is great because you are immersed in nature in the middle of the woods and at the same time close to all the activities of interest in the area. Finally, the owners are very kind and helpful. They gave us all the information on what to do in the area and sent us the right contacts to do the activities we were interested in and even recommended the best places to eat well! Tip!!!

Great deal! Beach front, walking distance from the beach and from restaurant + utility shop. The house was perfect, felt at home right away. Ezio is really kind and ready to help if need plus the apartment has literally everything!

This place is a perfect beach shack in the old town of Chiannalea. Having the rocky 'patio' out back means it's easy to sit and relax with one of the best views of the town anywhere in the area. Scilla is just up on the hill, and Reggio Calabria is only 20 min down the road. The place itself is cozy but charming. Well appointed, plenty of cookware to take care of yourself if you're in town for a while. The location and view can't be beat. The beach is on the other side of the peninsula but it's only 5 minutes or so by car. You can also walk there, around the end of the peninsula under the castle in about 15 minutes. More quaint than luxurious in a perfect beach house kind of way. I would absolutely stay again. The entrance is part of La Porte Sul Mar, so it's a little odd getting in to the apartment. But it's private and safe, parking is easy, and the location 100% cannot be beat. The place is clean, the host is very very accommodating and has fantastic food suggestions too!

Fantastic place for 2, well located in the heart of Soverato. Very clean and tidy with some handy amenities and little nice touches like juice in the fridge. Great communication from Vittorio, always responsive and helpful. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We only spent a single night here, because we had an early flight from Lamezia. In March, Gizzeria Lido is quite sleepy as is to be expected, but we actually ended up having one of the best meals of our trip here (restaurant Street Food) and met a bunch of fun locals! Maria Giulia's place is convenient and clean, and close to the sea.

This was our first trip to this area and we hope to return. The location of Angelo’s place was an excellent base to explore the area. We enjoyed the beach below and did some snorkelling with lots of fish. We did not require much from Angelo while there but when we did he responded promptly and was very friendly. We would highly recommend Angelo’s place!

very nice and equipped house, breakfast provided in abundance and really responsive and helpful host, a real landlord with every minor problem runs and above all tries to make his guests miss nothing by spoiling them too (there was no ginseng in the house and he immediately went to find it). I highly recommend this place

Doris was a kind and generous host. We had trouble finding the place with the link provided but she came out to the street to set us straight. It was the end of a long day and we were glad to shower and go to bed. Doris was flexible with breakfast time and chatted as we ate. We had a little walk around before leaving back to walk to the train. Stairs up to the room are wide and accessible. Room has low slanted ceiling so guests should be able to negotiate this as well as step across top of stairs edge. Doris keeps hall lite well at night so you can see to access toilet.

This place is fantastic. The pool is beautiful the room was spacious and clean. They even made us capachino in the morning. We will stay here every time we are in the area.

Massimo was a fantastic host and the property is a hidden gem! With direct access to the beach, it is truly a rare find in tropea. It’s walkable to town for dinner, shopping, and drinks, and there is both public / paid access to beach areas right outside the property. Massimo went out of his way to welcome us and help us throughout our stay. I would suggest requesting a room with a balcony to be able to hang your towels/ swimwear but other than that, it was fabulous!

This is my home away from home! I love visiting Crotone and when I do I stay here. The apartment is steps away from the sea, bars, restaurants and nightlife but quiet at the same time. The apartmentis is equipped with everything including-hi speed internet for those who smart work, a washer, little treats and coffee... etc. The place is spotlessly clean and the hosts are so sweet, kind, thoughtful and available. Do yourself a favor and stay here, you’re welcome.
