Family-friendly holiday rentals in Castries

Verlindas place was remarkable, the view was amazing. The house is even more beautiful in person. It’s easy to find and close to lots of great spots. The host was very responsive and communicated well. I will definitely recommend and will book again.

This is a beautiful and comfortable house with lots of space and a great patio. If you are traveling as a large family or several families together, this place is perfect. I do recommend you rent a car though because there is no public transportation up this far and it’s a long walk up a big hill.

Cladius and Giselle were wonderful!! They are new host Airbnb and really are working hard too make vacation stay is enjoyable in their property. Prior to arrival they helped us arrange rental cars transportation from the port and back to the port. We arrived after 9 o'clock at night and they met us in a public place and guided us to the property. In addition Gisele had made sure that there were items in the fridge and Pantry items so that we could have breakfast and coffee without running to the grocery store first thing in the morning. The property is very comfortable with air conditioning in 2 bedrooms and a wonderful master bathroom complete with impressive Spa shower hot tub unit. The kitchen has American sized appliances. There is even fitness equipment for your use. There is an outside gas grill with an outside bar unfortunately we were so busy traveling the island we did not get to try it out. The upstairs has a large patio on the roof for you to enjoy outside time and sunsets. I would highly recommend staying on site this side of the island as the roads are significantly better than the more traditionally tourists side of the island. In addition the local flavor is really great to experience instead of just being around other tourists. The dinner Fish Fry on Saturday night is not to be missed. Much better than the touristy Gros Islet. I would highly recommend going to La Tille Falls, it is very close to the house and well worth the visit. Be sure to pick up some lemongrass syrup from John. They also have TV that has American stations so we were even able to watch football and some of the bowl games. Gisele was exceptional at keeping in contact. She was always just a text away even if we were somewhere on the other side of the island and needed directions. If you are looking for a true st. Lucian experience but with modern Comforts I would highly recommend booking this home.

This villa was a dream to stay at. Perfect for my 30th birthday. Every bedroom had a balcony, air-con, a bathroom and main character energy. The porch outside is directly but a safe distance from water front where the view of the boats and harbour is so peaceful. The kitchen and living space was extremely well equipped. Small touches like coolers to take to the beach and a house phone for local calls was very helpful. Our house keeper was the sweetest lady ever. Just book here you’ll be inspired to buy a holiday home. The master suite is sensational the jacuzzi bath was amazing (there’s a shower as-well). Property is located in the heart of Rodney bay next to everything taking a cab would be pointless. It’s a gated community which is not need as the area is very safe but it adds to the luxury. Host is so friendly super responsive. Pictures of this place does it no justice at all.

Lawrence’s place was amazing. It was the prefect place for a birthday vacation celebration. We will definitely return.

Joseph, Nadina and family (Nadia, Olivia and Sofia) were very kind. We've spend an amazing time there. Smugglers Cove beach near our place (5 min driving) is perfect for those who wants to do snorkeling and chilling at the beach with a great restaurant. The place is perfect for 4 people (two couples). We had the chance to spend an all day with the family and some friends from Martinique on mothers'as day. So, we could enjoyed the saint lucian's life. We've had some chill, some dance and some fun. We had a great stay at Villa Zatara. It's a lovely, relaxing place and provided plenty of space for my family of four. The host, Robert, was fantastic - very friendly and responsive. The cleaning lady Nancy was lovely and an unexpected addition. I think my kids enjoyed more than anything the two very friendly cats that became our pets during our stay. We felt very safe in the location and we found a number of very good restaurants and beaches within a short driving distance. We were very glad we had decided to rent a car. I think it would have been challenging without it. We learned the hard way that you must be very regular and liberal with the bug spray given the mosquitos - an issue I'm sure you would have anywhere on the island. The air conditioners in the bedroom were very much appreciated. Overall, I would definitely recommend Villa Zatara.

Such a tranquil & peaceful location where it's so easy to relax & just switch off. The views from the balcony from the cottage were paradise! the owners & family were so kind & accommodating, they were there if you needed them but appreciated your privacy & let you be. The cottage itself was perfect & very cosy. We enjoyed every evening & morning sat outside making the most of the peacefulness. We would definitely recommend & like to come back again

Our stay was like a dream--from the moment we opened the door to the Lodge, we were transported to another world of breathtaking views, natural beauty, fresh air and nothing but relaxation on the itinerary! While there are many fun and exciting activities to consider around Soufriere, we were captivated by our private paradise atop the hill and found ourselves lingering by the private plunge pool and enjoying the sunset from the deck instead of venturing out. Listening to the rain showers, frogs and birds was hypnotizing. We walked to and from the beaches at Jade Mountain Resort--a very steep climb home, but definitely doable with the proper footwear. There are also several resort restaurants nearby, but we found the fresh cuisine prepared for us by the chef at Cosmos to be delicious and plentiful! The staff were friendly, helpful and available whenever we needed anything. And the space offered plenty of privacy. We are already planning out next visit!

Rhonda's place felt like a home away from home. Very beautiful surroundings. Very peaceful. It is also very spacious and you will find all the amenities and more. Might I add that I was very surprised how close it was to the beach. My son and I had fun walking to and from the beach. Throughout our stay Rhonda had a great line of communication for all of our needs. Thank you for the great experience. Rhonda's place is certainly the place to stay while you enjoy beautiful St. Lucia.

I’ve never, ever had such a warm and effusive welcome. Don and Doris are Super Hosts for a reason. To be shown the locale, have food to help set you up on arrival and be connected to phenomenal people who can arrange to do trips with, just made a well needed holiday on my own even easier to enjoy. Sitting on the balcony at night, beer in hand waiting for the bbq to cook, listening to tree frogs and the ocean, and watching the fire flies was a real nightly pleasure too! I prefer being away from noise and the main town so this location was great for me. A safe 15-20 min walk into Castries was easy so did not use the shuttle, preferring to chat with locals en route. Smiles all round on this beautiful, lush island and tremendous hosts, warm daily welcome home from the puppies and the pussy cat - I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

Overall great house!! Quiet neighbor. I shared the space with my boyfriend and we even extended our stay. The host kept great communication answering all of our questions. When we arrived everything was clean and in order, the pool area as well. Great views around this whole property. A coffee marker, water kettle, microwave and washer were available to use. (coffee, tea, clothes detergent, body wash, shampoo+ conditioner not included) Some outlets have usb ports to help you charge your devices. Theres a lot of light switches that operate appliances, water, and lights. I wish they had been labeled so I won’t be guessing which one is what. There was two bath towels in each of the rooms some of the them had an old smell so I had to put them to wash. There is a dry table provided for use as well. I would stay here again just on the lower level because it has direct access to the pool. I wish i knew before booking that if we wanted to go to the pool we had to go through the street side e

Exactly what my family was looking for! Awesome pool, comfortable beds, spacious, breezy, and gorgeous views out to the ocean and into the rainforest. We took a fun and informative hike with Melvin (who can identify all the plants!) out to a secluded waterfall for a swim. We got fish from the Dennery fish market and cooked it at the villa. My 2 kids had a blast in the pool, and night swimming with the neon pool lights was extra thrilling. Thanks Razia and Aldina!

We highly recommend The Stone House! Sabina was a wonderful host, and the house is beautiful and has a wonderful view of Marigot Bay. The setting is very private, especially at the back of the house overlooking the bay where we saw a number of rainbows during our stay. We would definitely stay at The Stone House again! Sabina has a wonderful binder of local attractions and is very open to questions. General tips: - If you choose to drive, rent a 4x4 vehicle - Grocery shop at Massy’s or CPJ’s - Food: Chateau Mygo, The Villa Restaurant, Bernice’s - just west of the bay dock - Area restaurants: The Sea View Renaissance Café just before Anse la Raye - just opened, excellent lunch with nice views. - Things to do: The rum tour of the distillery just to the south of Marigot Bay was brief, but worthwhile. Make a reservation if you want to do a tour of Cocoa St. Lucie’s - it's a lovely shop.

This location is breathtaking. Honestly, hard to believe the pitons were real and not part of a painting. The house is located on a cliff, which was concerning with children, but they never went close to any edges, so it was fine. It is completely open, but very few bugs..honestly much less than the Northeast of America in the summer. We barely used bug spray and I got 1 mosquito bite in 5 days. There are really only 2 bedrooms since the 3rd is tucked away behind the kitchen and mainly used by the staff..there is a beautiful bedroom separate from the house, but this was not included. The beach is sort of walkable (solid 30-45 mins to Mamin), but the road is extremely steep and the average person would not want to do it. Renting a car and parking at Jade Mountain worked out well, but driving to this place is not for the faint of heart. Epically treacherous roads and driving on the left side. I loved it..but you better be confident. Wonderful adventure overall and very memorable =)

What a beautiful location in such a great area with such a warm, welcome, guiding host. Arnold was great. Arnold is one of the better hosts we’ve ever had. We’ll come back!

We had an absolutely incredible week at this beautiful villa! The location is simply unbeatable – perched perfectly between the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, offering breathtaking views and a sense of tranquility that’s hard to find anywhere else. The privacy of the villa made it feel like a true escape, and waking up to the sound of the waves was a dream come true. One thing to note is that the road leading up to the villa is quite steep and bumpy. While it adds to the adventure, it might be worth considering a community effort to pitch in and improve the condition of the road. This would not only enhance the experience for guests but also benefit the locals and the surrounding community. Overall, this villa is a gem, and we would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene getaway. Don’t hesitate to book – you won’t regret it!

The Villa was in a beautiful location with magnificent views of Castries and the port. The pool was very inviting and we spent some of our best times bathing and hanging out. The beach was a short walk down the hill and the hotel staff was very friendly. Charles gave us excellent instructions for arrival and made us feel right at home. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space to hang out. Upstairs patios are perfect at sunset.

This home was an absolute dream! Tucked away in the lush St. Lucian rainforest, it truly felt like living in a secluded treehouse surrounded by nature. The peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect place to unwind, with nothing but the sounds of the jungle as our backdrop. Very secluded and quiet—an ideal retreat for relaxation. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible hospitality. George was available anytime we needed and knew just where to take us. He is so knowledgeable about the local plants, people, and history of the island, and he was such a pleasure to talk with! Bertilla cooked the most amazing meals, and Catherine kept everything clean and tidy, making our stay even more comfortable. We also loved visiting the nearby resort beach, which had everything we could ask for—snorkeling, paddle boards, ocean hammocks, and a fantastic beachside bar and restaurant. It was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. We didn't want to leave!

This place is so beautiful! The gentleman who checked us in and was stationed at the front was wonderful. The dogs that hung out outside were also a bonus. This Located very close to Laborie and walking distance to restaurants. Laborie is such a wonderful small Carribean town. The residents were all friendly and we can’t wait to bring out friends here!

Oma was an extremely great host. The place is beyond spacious and the view is amazing. He connected us with a chef and transportation. All of the connection were fantastic. Even got to meet one of the neighbors who was a delite as well. Only take away is the mattresses may need to be updated to modern body types. Outside of that, couldn’t ask for a better stay and host.

Wow! What a wonderful week we had! Walking through the gate and onto the property has become a core memory for me. I didn’t know it was possible for a view to bring me to the brink of tears. It sounds dramatic, but the view, property, and warm welcome from the La Batterie Villa’s staff was quite dramatic and awe inspiring. My husband and I have spent many nights in many different airbnbs all over the world while also being Airbnb hosts ourselves and we can confidently say this has been one of our best stays. The property is an experience within itself, but Mike’s recommendations helped to make the week that much more memorable and fun. Mike is extremely responsive, helpful, and professional along with his entire staff. We enjoyed Stephanie’s cooking and hospitality all week along with Bibiana’s attention to detail for tidiness. Terry kept the grounds beautiful and always had a warm smile and conversation. Clavie was a great driver and BK made us feel so safe. We hope to come back soon!
