Beautiful sunsets on a rooftop facing the sea

RamonRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I’ve stayed with several AirBnB hosts. To classify Marella House as a ‘super host’ would be a massive understatement. They need to make a higher host tier to properly classify Marella House. I have never been treated with better care. The property is a dream. There is so much space. There’s excellent rooftop views and a massive DJ speaker. It’s about half a block from the beach. Luis is the property manager. He is very resourceful. One of my girlfriend’s zipper broke as we were about to head out for a night of fun and we didn’t have the option to return to her home to change clothes without compromising the night. After trying to resolve the issue on my own for 30 minutes, I decided gave Luis a call at around midnight. I was surprised that he answered but even more surpried that it took less than 5 minutes for someone to show up to the house with black thread and needle. Luis is truly a great host and arguably the best host I’ve had. Looking forward to my next trip to Cartagena 🫶

Bruma Beach Lofts

This home was absolutely beautiful and the staff on site was very helpful! Beautiful private location slightly away from the town about a 10-15 minute car ride, however taxis were readily available! I would definitely stay here again.

Lago de los Sueños-Rosario Islands

DeirdreRating, 5 stars18 months ago
I don’t have enough good things to say about our stay at Lago de Los Sueños. The main house and the casitas were lovely and comfortable and just what we needed for a true, unbelievably relaxing vacation. We were only 5 people, and it was way more space than we needed, but we spread out and enjoyed extra peace. Besides the absolutely gorgeous home and vistas, the best parts were Elena from Go Cartagena who arranged our van and boat transfer from the airport, even late night, and a full day boat trip on the final day, as well as food for the time we were there. Yeseniya (sp?) at the house was an absolute gem! She made all our meals and everything was sooooo delicious. Seriously, each meal was more delicious than the last. She also kindly did our laundry before we left for the city. And she did everything with such kindness and always with a smile. And Jose and Diana supported her with setting up the dock every day and meals. We kayaked and swam and sunbathed and lazed about. Amazing!!

Paraíso en Barú: Playa y Piscina privada

StephanieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Cartagena and an amazing way to experience Barú. We search the globe for unique, peaceful and private Airbnb finds and this is no exception. We were fortunate to have no other bookings around us (two properties nearby) during our time but regardless to have the property, beach, water and starry sky all to our own is something we so very much enjoyed. Be sure you’re well stocked with all the essentials but beyond food and drink a bathing suit and sunscreen is all you need. Our sole concern prior to booking was transportation which was then provided by Remy for a small fee and had us picked up right at our hotel in Bocagrande and returned to our Airbnb in the walled city.

Cartagena Outskirts, Beachfront House, Chef&Butler

PaulRating, 5 stars11 months ago
A perfect stay! The house is really great, it looks exactly as shown in the photos. The beach is beautiful and private. Carolina is a great host who helped us a lot from the beginning. Including transportation to the house. Thanks to her, we saved a lot of money! :) The staff in the house are very attentive, helpful and friendly. They prepared three meals a day for us and it always tasted delicious. The house and the rooms are cleaned daily, so you can relax all day and don't have to worry about anything. Overall a perfect experience! We will gladly come back. :) Thank you very much!

Private Beach Getaway near Cartagena with WiFi

AliceRating, 5 stars7 months ago
A really peaceful location and relaxing stay. Great shared space for catching up with friends. We loved our day trip to the islands and snorkeling sites (including beautiful mangrove lagoon). Evening paddle to mangrove lagoon and bioluminescent plankton was incredible! Luz and Roi at house were friendly and helpful. We brought food from Cartagena and Luz cooked us delicious meals (including local fish) . It would have been nice to have advice on visiting nature reserve surrounding the property which we felt was a missed opportunity. Thank you very much!

Cartagena de Indias, Caribbean Beach House in Baru

VictorRating, 5 stars9 months ago
It is very modest home right on the beach. The description is very fitting and was everything I was looking for. Private, quiet, peaceful. Perfect to kick back and relax for a few days. The rooms were very spacious and the home was kept very clean and in order by the housekeepers. For the host, she was very responsive and very attentive to all of my questions/concerns. Days leading up to our reservation we were made aware that we needed to take and provide for our own food and meals. That was probably the only hassle as you need to take about an hour of your time to go to the grocery store and then transport that through boat on top of our luggage. However, the host was very helpful in pointing us the right direction to what ingredients and supermarket to go to. She then made it very easy to coordinate our maritime transportation to the place. The housekeepers were able help through everything once we were there and they were great! I'd plan another trip here any day.
