We had a lovely weekend away with our family—my husband, our two kids, my parents, and our dog. The location was ideal, with beautiful lake views from the deck and garden, and direct access to the lake walk. It was great being right in the middle of everything—especially when we saw how many people were arriving just to visit the area we were already staying in. The cottage was both cozy and spacious, and it felt familiar and comfortable from the start. It was also very pet-friendly, with a thoughtful basket of essentials provided for our dog, and the garden felt safe and secure for him. A fun surprise was the kookaburra that made itself at home in the shed—our daughters were delighted! Thank you to Denise and Rodney for setting up such a well-thought-out and welcoming space. It made for one of our most enjoyable weekend getaways.

I'd highly recommend Stephanie's country cottages to anyone looking for a peaceful bush getaway. A friendly and gracious host, we felt right at home straight away and the cottage was lovely and comfortable. We had a great stay at Jasmin’s place. The eggs, bread,butter and milk were much appreciated. The house was very clean and comfortable with top quality linen and plentiful crockery,cups and glasses with comfortable beds. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the back deck at sunset watching the moon wax and wane in the clear night sky. Overall a peaceful,comfortable experience. We hope to visit again later in the year. Spotlessly clean and beautifully curated, the cottage was everything we could have hoped for and more. Peaceful, comfortable and filled with thoughtful touches, it also felt private which we appreciated. The welcome bottle of fizz was very generous as were all the other amenities designed to create a feeling of home away from home. Only a five minute drive from Daylesford, the location was super convenient and easily accessible. Similarly, Heather was incredibly responsive and quick to help with local tips and suggestions. An all-round lovely stay! We hope to visit again one day soon.

The property was cosy, clean and well thought out. There were 5 of us (women) and we had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. We were within walking distance of stunning Lake Wendouree and about a 20 minute walk to where all the fabulous restaurants, bars and cafes are located. Lovely bed linen, nice big bathroom, 2 toilets. Bright and airy, comfortable couches and plenty of pillows. Clare was in contact with us to ensure a smooth entry to the property and there were clear instructions on how to operate the TV, air con and heater and also what needed to be done when leaving. A beautiful property that I highly recommend. We had a great relaxing time in a spacious, immaculate home.

We found this gem on short notice as we wanted to spend New Years at Daylesford with our dog. It was just the perfect place for my husband, me and our fur baby. It’s located right near the shops and you get your own private access to the Lake so I was able to spend each morning going for a run. Such a beautiful place! Just be mindful of the insects but you are staying by the lake, so just bring some repellent and you’ll be fine. Thank you again for hosting us, Sally!

We had two nights in the Garden Barn after our wedding in Bendigo. It was the perfect place to relax, enjoy each other's company, and feel the peace and quiet of a cul de sac at the end of Templeton Street. Our host was very welcoming and the accommodation was spacious, beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. The barn is set in a very beautiful garden which is a feature in itself. We had a great time.

We had a fantastic time there as a family with our 2 primary school age kids and our dog. The property was really well looked after and equipped with everything we needed. We loved sitting out on the verandah for breakfast or sunset surrounded by kangaroos and even a couple of deer one morning. It feels really remote but was only ten minutes drive into Trentham or 20 minutes to Daylesford. The kids woke up excited each morning so we appreciated the coffee too!

Our little family had a great time at Eloise’s place. It is very well located near the lake and close to the main strip, but also felt peaceful and secluded. The house was very comfortable and its elevation meant that the windows had wonderful views and light. We found the living area was surprisingly comfortable in the chilly mornings, especially with the space heater on. Finally, Eloise was very responsive and accommodating.

Enjoyed every minute of our stay Beautiful view Peaceful and lots of privacy We were lucky enough to have both warm and cold weather So we got to enjoy the fireplace and pizza oven and fire pit The animals were fun even when the lamas were spitting on us!!! We saw eagles kangaroos and even deer and foxes so was exciting The house was very well equipped and we had everything we needed to use. Even home made treats which was lovely We will definitely stay here again Carolyn
