Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Caniço

The house is nice, but there are a few things to keep in mind. Since it is located in the mountains, it is not properly heated, and it was occasionally chilly inside. Additionally, the house is situated near a road with frequent noisy traffic, which can be disruptive. The location listed in the advertisement was incorrect and led us to a spot about 500 meters away from the actual house. Furthermore, the house is several kilometers from the waterfront, and there’s nowhere to walk nearby as there are no sidewalks. On the positive side, the hosts left us wine, cheese, and a local cake, which was a nice gesture. The jacuzzi was in good working order, adding to the comfort. However, caution is needed with the staircase in the house — it is quite steep, and there’s a risk of slipping. Overall, the stay was fine, but some aspects might not suit everyone.

Better than photos! A very spacious house, a little traditional looking yet clean and modern enough. So many terraces and spots to sit outside - I think 3 or 4 tables? The terraces have incredibly pretty views onto the city, the ocean, the sunset. Beautiful at any time of the day. The hot tub does take a while (like half a day) to get warm enough. You'll need a car for sure for getting by, and entering through the gate is a little tricky, it's quite narrow and the house is on a hill but that's fine! I wouldn't leave food leftovers in the kitchen as there were some ants (not bothersome, actually) Otherwise, it was perfect. Such a great stay!

We enjoyed our stay!! The space was a little secluded and despite the very clear instructions, the roads were winding so difficult to find the location. Super responsive host, answered my questions in the next few minutes! Beautiful place, sublime view 😍

Our stay at Ocean Cliff Madeira Villa was absolutely amazing. We were warmly welcomed with delicious greeting meals and drinks, setting the perfect tone for our visit. The villa offers breathtaking ocean views and a peaceful atmosphere. The infinity pool was unforgettable. Highly recommend!

We stayed in Filipes house for a week in February. We are a family of 5, with 3 boys from 8-12 years old. We had a great week there, bathing in the swiming pool (which was heated to 27-28 degress) and the jacuzzi (40 degrees) many times every day. We barbecued once. We also had lots of fun with the pingpong, pool and poker. A great week for the whole family! The house was great and the island of Madeira was absolutely amazing! Our first evening we drove down to Filipes restaurant in Riberia Brava, highly recommend that aswell!

Very nice place with beautiful views of the sea. The hot tub is a perfect opportunity to warm up and regenerate after a long hike. Definitely recommend!

Villa Sweden is a charming home, perched on a hilltop on the south side of Madeira. The house has private parking, which is a luxury on the island. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well appointed, and the living area was comfortable and inviting. After hiking during the day, we especially enjoyed our time in the hot tub with its amazing views! We can’t say enough about our hosts Tereza and Karl, and their resident dog, Cookie. They were friendly, responsive, and helpful. We had such a wonderful time getting to know them! I would recommend their Airbnb to anyone looking to visit Madeira!

Had a really lovely week here. Great location to explore the entire island. Very quiet location with good views of the ocean. Modern decor and a well equipped property. Beautiful pool/jacuzzi area right outside the main door. Host communication was excellent. Would highly recommend.

Super nice and well-equipped villa. Even for the first breakfast, the landlords provided toast, coffee tapes, tea and milk. The pool and the terrace with wonderful views of the sea are a dream. The location is perfect, close to several large supermarket and good restaurants. Funchal can be reached in a few minutes by car or by bus. We loved it and can 100% recommend the place.

I stayed here for a week with my husband and it was lovely! The villa is even better than the photos suggest, and it was extremely clean. Hot tub and pool were amazing (although the pool was heated, it wasn't super warm). The views were fantastic day or night! It's just over an hour's (downhill) walk to the old town - we only ended up doing it once as there are numerous local buses that can get you there much more quickly. Taxis via Bolt are also cheap and readily available. It's also in a great location to get the 81 bus out to the Valley of the Nuns. It's about 7 minute walk to a local supermarket and there are a couple of bars and cafes nearby. Would definitely stay here again.
