Family-friendly holiday rentals in Candelero Abajo

Private, quiet and spacious place. It was perfect for our family's retreat and our winter break. Socorro provided us with clear instructions and helpful recommendations. We had a great time.

This condo is perfectly located in a beautiful resort with many amenities and has a fantastic view of the ocean from the balcony. Everything was as nice as described in the listing and the host was very helpful. We very much enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return!

Our stay at Geoffrey's place was remarkable. We had high expectations based on photos and other reviews, but the Villa was (somehow) even more stunning in person. From the epic views (and I mean EPIC), meticulously clean unit - to the artwork and thoughtful decor throughout - it was incredible. The Villa was equipped with all of the beach essentials. The pool and beach areas out front were SO private and peaceful which is what we were looking for. When we wanted a more social setting, we took the 5 minute walk to the gorgeous Resort next door. It was the best of both worlds, epsecially with child (11yo). Now, a moment for THE balcony. I spent hours there with my coffee basking in the AM sun. Geoffrey was responsive leading up to and throughout our stay; there was a peace of mind feeling like we knew someone in the area. He helped us greatly with suggesting excursions, restaurants, etc. I will be recommending this stay to anyone I know traveling to PR. We can't wait to come back.

My girls and I had the most incredible stay here, I don’t even know where to begin! The pictures truly do not do it justice, the view left us all speechless. The home was so beautiful, clean and spacious with great views all around. The outside hot tub area was gorgeous for hang outs and again, the most outstanding view of nature. The community was very peaceful and quiet and felt safe since it is a gated community. Jose was very quick and responsive and offered great recommendations. They also provided beach towels, chairs and more that came in handy for our beach days. On that note, the beach was a short drive away and there are great restaurants nearby too. We would definitely stay here again, would give 10 stars if it were possible! Can’t say enough good things about it, had the best time!

The beach house was epic! Huge location and private oasis with pool, hot tub, grills, and beach access. Had a great time hanging out at the house. Roads were very easy to navigate. Manny, the property manager, was excellent. Extremely responsive to any questions and always helpful. Being close to the national park was awesome, and having the small town nearby made shopping/eating/entertainment a breeze.

My stay in Vieques was quiet and comfortable. Waldo was incredibly kind, and I was lucky enough to try his delicious paella! Check-in was flexible and welcoming—he met me upon arrival and walked me through everything I needed to know. We also had a great conversation about life and the beauty of Puerto Rico! I would definitely stay here again but would recommend renting a Jeep due to the rugged yet manageable terrain to the apartment and around the island.

Mrs Renee’s place was amazing, perfect for our small family with young boys. Was in ideal location to explore the east side of Puerto Rico. Went to Culebra, El Yunque, Luquillo beach & kiosks and hung out around the resort a couple days. The morning views overlooking the golf course from Renee’s place were breathtaking. We had an amazing trip! We will be back and will hopefully be staying at the same place!

Tom is a great host!! very attentive....friendly and helpful! Loved our stay and location....can't wait to come back!

It’s was exactly as advertised and only had loud neighbors for 2 days but the rest of the staywas perfect. The location is a bit outside of being in a nice “neighborhood” but once inside it’s beautiful and worth the stay and would definitely come back 10/10

Miguel's house was perfect for our trip, it had everything we needed. Plenty of living room and seating options are available inside and outside. The pool was perfect and we spent lots of time in there. The house is located in a gated community but it was very easy to get in and out of. There are several things nearby that you can walk to, including acai bowls & smoothies, restaurants, pharmacy, and grocery stores. There is also a train stop across the street from the gated entrance, we took the train to San Juan and then caught a bus to Old San Juan, and it was perfect for a day trip. The house is also only a 25 minute drive to some beautiful beaches. All three bedrooms, the kitchen and both bathrooms and living rooms were a very clean and comfortable. Miguel was very helpful and friendly to us, also Sonia was an amazing help during our trip, she was so kind! We were here for a business trip but we would love to stay next year as well. Thank you Miguel for sharing your house with us.

Ms. Marta is an excellent host. We (me, hubby & 2 cats), just moved here to Puerto Rico from Pennsylvania. We rented this Airbnb because we wanted to look for a place between here and San Juan. Ms. Marta found out that we were looking for a place to buy/rent in the area and offered us an extended stay to continue looking for a place. (Relieved)! The villa we rented was clean, cozy and private. The linen smelled so good. There is a washer/dryer right on the property for your use. The hospitality was amazing. You want for nothing. When we told Ms. Marta we didn't have any internet service, she immediately responded. She spoke to the owner Mr. Juan, and that same day we had internet service. (Loose cable) Chewy is the awesome grounds keeper. If anything is needed, ask him once, and it's done!! He even brought my husband and I fresh coconut water. Gigantic coconut with a hole drilled on top. Yum. Nature, horses, dogs, singing coqui's and a pool! It felt like home. A must stay!!

The place was in great condition, and the instructions were easy to follow. Had this cool view to a baseball park where we were able to watch little kids play. Noise wasn’t at all bothersome.

Loved our time at Jorge’s place! The view overlooking the water at night and with coffee in the morning was so peaceful. It was a 10ish minute drive to get groceries or food so if you are looking for somewhere walkable, that would be the only reason not to stay there. Otherwise, it had everything we needed including candles and a blender. Yes please piña coladas by candlelight overlooking water!

We really enjoyed our stay. It’s a great location and spacious place. It’s only a few minutes walk to the beautiful ocean front and Esperanza beach (which is lovely), and an easy walk to Sun bay beach also. Lovely yard although bring your bug spray as there are many mosquitoes which also got into the house. I was glad I brought a mosquito net for my baby’s playpen. It’s dark inside with the windows closed /AC on (which worked great and we preferred). There’s a nice area to sit on the front porch and a great outside shower to get the sand off. We cooked there often, the kitchen supplies could use an update (minimal and lots of scratches on the teflon pans/pots). It was quiet, there was almost no street noise /traffic and the dogs that other reviews mentioned barely barked and when they did it wasn’t loud inside at all.

Cute little house, perfect for the 5 of us. Very close to beaches and restaurants. Safe, quiet neighborhood. We very much enjoyed our stay in Vieques.

My family and I travel to PR yearly. We had orrignally booked at a different listing that turned out to not be a fit for my family despite the good reviews. There were too many issues that shouldn’t have been knowing your space is being used by anyone. I travel with husband and two toddlers. Sebastian’s place was a quick find, but also the perfect fit. Clean and well maintained residence, nice views of the area, responsive and near the areas we usually go to. Wish I would’ve booked here first! He worked with us and helped the trip to end well. The host/listing makes all the difference when you travel abroad and I’m so happy we got to experience a good outcome with Sebastian.

Excellent place and host

The property felt like home. It had all the amenities me and my family were looking on our weekend stay. The apt was well furnished and equiped. Location was great, next to the tennis center and a walk away from the beach.

Amazing place to stay if you are looking for some peace and relaxation. The apartment was beautiful, spacious and comfortable. Absolutely love that the pool was just a few feet away from the terrace! We had a great weekend! Cannot thank the hosts enough for being attentive and responsive!

Perfect for our needs. Lovely area

We rented the apartment for 2 months and it couldn’t have been better! Host was very hospitable and approachable, the place is true to it’s pictures (as cozy as it is beautiful), it’s quiet and safe, and definitely more than what we expected. Truly a MUST if you’re ever planning on staying in the area.

Our stay in palmas del mar was amazing The only hiccup was storm Ernesto but we remained with power and water only lost the internet but erika and tim where amazing. They texted us after the stirm to make sure everything was okay and worked diligently to get the internet restored. Will definitely recommend to friends and family and stay again next year.
