Holiday houses in California Pines

If it's dark skies at night you are seeking, this is the place. In a dark sky sanctuary, with open space all around. Set up your telescope, bring binoculars, or just sit outside at night and look up. It will be rewarding and impressive. The cabin is almost luxurious, very comfortable and inviting. Kitchen is nicely equipped. Not off-grid; plenty of electricity, hot water, and Starlink internet. Great gas fireplace. The road in Nevada is not paved, but is well maintained for passenger vehicles.

This is a fantastic mountain getaway location. The host was awesome and responsive. The surroundings were beautiful and majestic beyond belief. We recommend Rex’s in town for dinner, and do not miss Burney Falls. No pictures I have ever seen do it justice. This is now one of my favorite waterfalls ever. The cabin was cozy and rustic, like I was expecting for a mountain cabin getaway. Even better, it had excellent Wi-Fi cell service and plenty of TVs and games. There is no shortage of things to do, including having a campfire when allowable, or a fire inside the word burning stove. Nonetheless, we spent most of our time exploring the surroundings and hiking.

Spent a week at the cabin while participating in a wildlife management program (x4). Cabin was conveniently located near the national forest and Pittville Highway and was a perfect place to rest and unwind after a hard day's work. Lots of goodies in the fridge and pantry, and we utilized the nice grill on the porch multiple times. The home was private and secluded - surrounded by nature. Loved seeing the deer and other wildlife on the property. The view of the stars was incredible, and we even got to see the aurora one evening. Sandi was a great host who gave us our privacy, but was always available for questions and friendly recommendations. We unfortunately didnt take enough time to explore the property, but it was a beautiful ranch with a pair of gorgeous horses. So looking forward to the next opportunity to stay at the Rocking K Guest Cabin. It really is a special place and met our needs perfectly.
