Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Calais

Beautiful lovely house, great view to the mountains, nice fireplace to keep us warm at winter night. Lots of nice kitchenwares, dishes and seasonings, allow us to cook great meals at home. Highly recommend!

The location was great!. Not far from the Craftsbury Outdoor Center and Greensboro Trails! Also an easy walk to the General Store and the Village Store. A nice quiet street to walk the dog. The house was clean and cozy. We had a great stay and would definitely stay again!

Loved staying at the Sanborn lodge! Incredible view from the back porch and nested inbetween 2 areas of Stowe that made finding places to eat and getting to Ski/hiking destinations a breeze. The Sanborn lodge felt like walking into my own cozy home and made our time in Stowe amazing.

Fantastic stay at Mary Anne’s home! Beautiful property and beautiful views from inside the home. The home was extremely clean and felt homey! We also loved having such a large yard to go out and play in the snow! Conveniently located to nearby Stowe, but away from the hustle and bustle - very quiet and peaceful. The snowplow for the driveway was a nice surprise too! Perfect location for our family trip to see snow!

Stephan’s place was one of our favorite places we’ve stayed yet. It was absolutely beautiful! The inside was so charming and so clean. The kitchen had every amenity you would need as well as the bathrooms being so well stocked with towels and linens. Their were toys and games that kept the kids occupied in front of the fire. The fireplace was our favorite part. And the location is nothing short of breathtaking. Stephan was such a pleasure to communicate with. He was always kind and prompt with his responses. You will not be disappointed, we highly recommend Stephan’s beautiful log cabin.

We stayed at this property for a Bretton Woods weekend ski trip for four adults and two young children. Everything was perfect. Check-in was smooth. The owner sent access information a few days in advance. The house's layout worked well for having both shared and private spaces. We didn't use the upstairs game room much but it would have been great for slightly older kids. The whole house was very clean. We had no issues with utilities or electronics. Showers have good water pressure and there was no issue with hot water. I thought the bed was comfortable. The pellet burner really warms up the central kitchen/living room area. The location is perfect for accessing Bretton Woods during the day and Bethlehem or Littleton in the evening. The neighborhood is quiet but only a minute or so from Rt. 302. Overall, this house is an excellent option for anyone looking to access Bretton Woods/Mount Washington.

We were very happy with our experience. The home was very nice and had great scenery. It was cozy with comfortable beds. In a secluded area where there wasn’t that much traffic. Not too far from town and less than 30mins from Stowe. Perfect home for a get away.

Sam's place was in the perfect location. Very walkable to everything on Church Street in Burlington and close to stores or whatever else you wanted to do. The place appears to be a remodeled older style building. It has a lot of old house charm and quirks. It is quite lovely in a New England sort of way. It also means it doesn't have any central heat. However, there are two portable electric heaters and a faux gas fireplace that do the trick. Once you get any or all three of these going, the place becomes cozy very quickly and the 11 degree winter nights become a thing of the past. We like to cook and Sam's place is outfitted with all the cooking and kitchen gear you'll need if you want to eat in for the night. We plan to come back and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

A Cozy and clean apartment in the mountains nearby to skiing. Katelyn gave useful instructions for getting in and the place looked just like the photos. The dishwasher worked great and there were enough pots and utensils for me to cook meals. A few things to keep in mind: It is on a mountain so you need an AWD vehicle during the winter or mud season, but with one I had no problem at all. It is also underneath a house, so you can hear footsteps or voices from upstairs. This didn’t bother me since I live in an apartment building, but something to know if you’re not used to that.

An amazing place tucked into the mountains of Vermont. This space was perfect and made us feel right at home. We loved the hot tub and electric fire place. Kitchen was perfect for making our own meal. Would love to come back!!

We had a fantastic stay here! So insanely beautiful, peaceful, quiet. The apartment is very charming and spacious. I do think its kind of silly Airbnb won't let them list the interior room as a bedroom. It is a large room and nice dark sleeping space. I really appreciate they allow dogs. We had no issues and really enjoyed out stay! We will be back.

We loved Vanessa's place. Cozy. Clean. Good decor. Kitchen worked great and loved having a dishwasher. Can walk to good coffee, good restaurants, and Church Street. Off street parking nice as well.

We had an absolutely phenomenal stay at Sue’s place. We met her husband as well, and he was so kind and helpful. It was accurately described, very clean, and she was very responsive. We were impressed with how much light the apartment let in the middle of winter. The backyard views were incredible. It was an absolutely perfect stay for what we needed. We visited the college and were only five minutes from the campus. The town is very cute with everything we needed right there at our fingertips. We would 10 out of 10 highly recommend and come back at any time of year. This is a property that would be beautiful during every season.

Beautiful place to stay! Hosts were very friendly, responsive, and accommodating. Amazing value for the price! Just outside of the city but close enough to explore and discover many hidden gems. Would definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful time and felt right at home!! Her place is SPOTLESS and cozy. Simone’s instructions to get there were perfect. Everything is well labeled (like which switches do what), USB ports on bedroom lamps., binder with check in/check out info. Couch is 10/10 for post-ski nap, beds and linens are super comfortable. Kitchen items look brand new. Shower pressure is also 10/10 There is a shuttle that takes you to the resort with a stop in this neighborhood (5-10 min walk), but uphill so with kids and ski gear we drove to resort each day (2-3 min drive). The houses in the neighborhood are spaced out so you don’t feel like you are right on top of someone but also aren’t completely secluded in the wilderness. We stayed Presidents’ Day weekend and skied Lincoln Peak. The lift lines moved quickly and didn’t feel overly crowded. This rental was priced higher than other rentals we considered, but based on pristine condition and ease of our stay it was worth it!!!

This was perfect for my son and I to relax in over a weekend at Pico. Everything was clean, comfortable, and we loved the fireplace as an added touch. Convenience and location were perfect; walk right out the front door and you're skiing with the buzz of the lodge right there - true ski in and out. We will definitely stay here again, for longer next time hopefully!

This Villa at Trapp Family Lodge is large and comfortable. It fullfills all the basics for a winter cross-country ski vacation and not far from Mount Mansfield for downhill skiing, and is as described. The General facility and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Fortunately we had the good fortune to have had very good weather - a bit on the cool side, but really good snow and the whole week the ski conditions were very good. A great place to gather.

The Little Maple House is terrific! What a great chance to stay in a historic home that is furnished with beautiful accent pieces and antiques yet feels homey if you have a rainy day movie night, or want to cook in. The neighborhood is so convenient! Bring your walking shoes, to head downtown, or over to breweries, galleries, and the Farmer's Market over on Pine. The girls and I (all senior women) easily walked thousands of steps a day chasing art pieces, photographing murals, grabbing coffee and gab sessions, and enjoying music at the local breweries. When I did have a question come up, the hosts responded immediately, what more could you ask for?

Great place and even greater host! James went above and beyond for us during our stay. We had gift bags waiting for us when we arrived and James made it easy to extend our stay when we got 17 inches of snow and weren’t able to leave. Great trip! I will be returning and staying here! Beautiful property and home. Great location!

Very nice home with great amenities. Great location to and from everything. Nicely distributed with space for everyone. Beds were comfortable and the home has plenty of towels etc. Overall it was a great place for weekend or longer. Maria was easy to communicate with and there were no issues.
