A awesome place guys!! The place is such amazing. The peace far from city and regular life. Kinda far from el nido. But if you want to stay far from chaos and crowd..go for it. Naspan beach, mad monkey bar all near. Go for it!! Amazing place, good food cheaper than other restaurants. Van, tours, motors can be booked from there.

Staying with Manfred and Rosanne was one of the best decisions we have made while in the Philippines. We have enjoyed the calm and quiet bedroom with private kitchen & bathroom. They made us feel right at home and communication was so easy. We have highly enjoyed the coffee that Manfred offered us and were always excited to cook our own breakfast here. We were able to rent a scooter from them at a very fair price and have enjoyed exploring el nido from here.

My family of seven stayed at Sheila's place for four days. We had a great fun time at her house, it was as was described and pictured on the website. She accommodated our late check-out too, which was great, as we had a chance to maximize our vacation at El Nido. There was a power outage when we were there, and this was expected, but good thing the power came back before nighttime. The faucet water was a little low, so expect to use the bucket for showering. As we are Filipinos ourselves, we loved the interaction we had with the neighbors, as the place is situated on an inner alley. The first time we arrived, we had a difficult time to find it. However, we loved that the place is walking distance from the city center. The nearby small stores (downstairs and on the way) was convenient for us to get our supplies of instant coffee, pandesal, and snacks. The local assistant, Joan, was helpful to get us fresh fish from local fisherfolk, and in cleaning our garbage every two days. All in all, we had a terrific time in Sheila's place. I would love to come back to her place if we plan another El Nido vacation. So thank you Sheila! =)

The place was very relaxing and the host was very welcoming, highly recommend for a budget stay if you plan on going to Nacpan beach since it’s only a 5 minute walk away.

I cannot say enough about how much we loved it here. Were mother/daughter traveling together and we could have stayed forever. I will say, rooms are basic. Clean but basic. My daughter was taken aback at first. But you don’t come to stay in your room. The view is unparalleled. To get this view, this location that hasn’t been infested by mass tourism yet is so rare. You stay for the staff. Lisa, Jaqueline, Ronnie and so many others made us feel like family friends. We extended our stay and my daughter didn’t want to leave. Fabulous food at the location but also great places at Nacpan beach. AND we saw bioluminescent plankton!!!! Seriously, this place will be with us forever and I will always hope I can make it back one day. One of the best vacations I’ve had in my life.

The villa is very nice with a good size pool. It has two big bedrooms with very good air conditioning. The location is a little secluded (5 minutes off road) but that’s why we chose this villa. I would recommend renting a scooter to help you explore the island and different beaches. The villa is walking distance (about 30 minutes walk) to the stunning beach (LIO) with great restaurants including amazing vegan place. Villa’s host was very helpful and friendly, helped us with with booking trips and renting scooters. The staff were very responsive and took good care of us. Overall we really enjoyed our stay :)

Place is near public market, terminal and sari-sari stores. Host was responsive and gave clear directions on how to get to the place. I also made a cute little friend there that I don’t know the name of — I miss that doggie, such a sweetie! 🐶 Highly recommended! 🌟

Very nice, cozy house right on the beach. A private large area with a magnificent view from the kitchen, where they spent most of their time with friends or family. Everything is thought out for a relaxed stay and enjoy your vacation. Thank you Monica!

This was one of our absolute highlights of our Philippines trip. Arvin and Kenneth provided an excellent service. The contact with Alfred was very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend Nature’s Retreat! The name is quite accurate, and if you are looking to really immerse yourself in a beautiful nature setting away from it all, this is the place. Our crew was nine friends from around the world who gathered here over New Year’s, and to give a sense of the experience, on NYE, we all waded out into the warm shallow bay surrounded by the tropical jungle and mountains, had the hosts turn off the electricity to the Retreat and welcomed in 2020 with the only lights being the stars and bright Milky Way above. Stunning. As were the bonfire the hosts built, the trips they took us on around the islands with the property’s catamaran, the massages they organized (so cheap and very very good) and the other tours they helped us arrange. In terms of the hosts, we cannot say enough good things about Sam, his family and his crew. They are incredibly kind and affable human beings, completely professional and on top of all of the logistics and always available for any assistance or advice. And a real bonus is that Sam and his wife are incredible cooks - we learned they own a restaurant in PP, and it showed in all the meals which were very well done. There is no question the place is rustic, and it is secluded (no neighbors). And that is its amazing charm. But don’t expect to be able to just pop in and out of town in 5-10 minutes on a whim. Our only caution is, before booking, check Air Swift for available flights in and out of El Nido Lio airport. Otherwise you have to fly in to Puerto Princesa and it’s about a 5-6 hour drive to the Retreat from there, depending on traffic. Shouldn’t be a problem if you look well enough in advance (which we failed to do) – so just a lesson learned. All in all, this was a really special trip for our group, and we would really recommend you consider it for yourself.
