I live in a different state now, but I'm originally from the New Orleans Westbank area, so "On Bayou Time" was a great place to stay while visiting "home." The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, and the drive through Lafitte and Barataria has the most beautiful scenery, if you love the view of the raw Southern Louisiana landscape, such as hundred year old Oak trees covered in Spanish Moss and wooded areas covered in palmettos. The house was like home away from home, with a kitchen that had all the utensils you needed to make an at-home meal. The bathrooms had fluffy towels and plenty extras (q-tips, cotton balls, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash). The beds were real beds (king, queen, full and twin, not just a ton of bunkbeds), and they were pretty comfy. Wish we could have stayed longer. FYI...If you love seafood, be sure to visit Salvo's in Belle Chasse. They have a different all-you-can-eat seafood every night of the week!

There is not much to chose from once you get down here. We did enjoy our fishing trip and the accomodations. The listing is, as described and can accommodate a large group. We enjoyed our stay and the ice machine...Would stay here again.

A Hidden Gem in Lafitte, LA As a visitor from across the country, I can confidently say that our stay at this charming Airbnb in Lafitte, LA, was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest Southern hospitality from our fantastic host, Keary. He truly went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for a memorable stay. The highlight of our trip was undoubtedly the stunning dock! We spent countless hours soaking up the sun, enjoying the peaceful views, and even spotted some local wildlife. It was the perfect spot for morning coffee and evening sunsets, making our getaway feel truly special. Overall, our experience in Lafitte was unforgettable, and this Airbnb played a huge part in that. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with beautiful surroundings, comfortable accommodations, and incredible hospitality from Keary, look no further. I can’t wait to return! Thank you for an amazing stay!

The owners were very helpful and responded immediately to any questions that I asked. The place was very clean and had everything that a normal home has plus more. Grocery store and restaurants were close. All in all was an amazing experience and I will be stay here in the future.

First trip to Venice and couldn’t have picked a better place. Neal was super quick to respond and advised us of the dock work going on. Wasn’t an issue for us and looked like they should be finished soon. Our guide picked us up off the back deck, very nice. Back deck faces east which gives sunrise view and shade in afternoon - big plus in summer I’m sure. It’s all as advertised, we’ll be back in the fall.

Amy’s place was a great and unique stay for anyone looking to stay in a house boat! We were in the area for a fishing trip, and this was the perfect location. The charters picked us up right from the back of the house. Then we were able to fish off the dock, and caught a 40 lb drum!! Very clean house and comfy beds. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area looking to come to Venice for a fishing trip!

Many times that I have done an Airbnb, I have been really disappointed with the reality of pictures vs the actual. Not in this case at all. It had nice furniture, new appliances, VERY clean and bright. All the beds were super comfortable (even the sofa/sleeper). This is a great place to stay for a couple of people or small family. I was here with my son for a Father/Son fishing trip and it was a perfect stay. We ate in every night and enjoyed it. Sat out on the front porch after supper with a nightcap. Also Craigs wife Melissa was super responsive as I lost my key in the water while fishing and she walked me through it. I HIGHLY recommend this place. You won't be disappointed.

We really enjoyed our stay. We had 4 grandchildren ages 5-11 with and they had so much fun. We are a family that likes to go fishing and really enjoyed going to Elmer's Island, surf fishing and spending time on the beach. We went pier fishing in the evenings and caught a lot of fish. The grandchildren had a blast crab fishing and we caught enough to have a crab boil. Everything was at the house that we needed to accomplish this. Thank you for a great vacation at Grand Isle!

Hi Sandra: I was so impressed with the stay there. We cooked beef filets on the charcoal grill. The sunset was incredible. I flew my drone down the cut and over the trees in the bay. Family stayed here for our annual salt water fishing trip. Dustin was very accommodating. The beds were comfortable. House can easily sleep a big group without being on top of each other. A/C was ice cold which was great after a day out on the water. Easy walk to the beach, and close to the marina. Ample parking. Facility had plenty of towels and extra linens. Would definitely stay here again. Family loved the house.

Karen is so sweet, outgoing, & welcoming. She introduced herself our first morning there. We her talking to several guests. Checks in with every others to ensure their stay is going well. Rooms are recently renovated & very clean. We have 1 suggestion. Room 7 could use an extra mirror. My wife & mother-in-law had to share the bathroom mirror in the mornings. Maybe 1 more in general space of living room/dining room. Otherwise, great place & would stay again.

We stayed for two nights while fishing and exploring the area. Christie was very responsive and helpful, and communicated everything we needed to know. She was also understanding when we had to leave a day early and refunded a portion of our last night. This location was pretty central on Grand Isle, and easy to find.
