Our charming apartment is nestled in the woods with a prime view of your own private 15 foot waterfall in the backyard. Enjoy peace and tranquility while reading a book on the hammock or warm up by the chiminea while watching the fireflies scatter about the woods. The creek is approximately 3 ft deep at the bottom of the waterfall & makes for a refreshing spot for you & your pup to wade away the day. My farm is 8 miles from Brevard and a 45 min. drive to downtown Asheville. I am nestled between Pisgah National Forest and Dupont State Forest, which means unlimited hiking, waterfalls, swimming, kayaking and fishing. Cyclers will enjoy being on one of the many routes, while mountain bikers can enjoy forest trails and challenge themselves to the Oskar Blues Reeb Ranch. Equestrian folks can avail themselves to our local horse boarders and ride in both forests. There is something for everyone!

Brand New! Cozy cottage

The cozy cottage is an easily accessible house within walking distance to downtown brevard. Also it is riding and jogging distance to the trails at bracken mountain which have been continually growing and go all the way to pisgah forest. Also close is the "lumber arts district" with restaurants, live music, and art stores. There is a bike path to breweries, river swimming holes, and lots of other things to do. The house is cozy and small with a sleeping loft up a spiral staircase.

Cottage at Gear Down

Southern Comfort at it's finest. Country living with easy access to all the art, music, and food that Brevard has to offer. Perfect for mountain bikers and hikers! Just twenty minutes to downtown and 10 minutes to Dupont State Forest. We took the 1950 cabin, home to the legendary bootlegger Clyde McCall, lifted it up and put a new footer, foundation, and sun room addition. Next, we set it back down and totally refurbished from the studs out. Everything is new inside and out.
