Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Botetourt County

Emily's place was perfect for my friend and I who appreciated the spacious bedrooms, strong wi-fi, clean space, large tv, and the ping-pong table in the basement. The shower was terrific and the beds were comfortable. Getting to downtown Roanoke was a breeze. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe.

This house was PERFECT for my family. We were in town for my mom's funeral and the location, and size, of this house made it very comfortable for my family to gather together. Their kindness to allow my dogs to come with us really helped lower the stress level. The house is beautiful and we loved the mountain location. It was very private and spacious. We loved it. Susan was also so easy to work with and very understanding of the circumstances.

A wonderfully peaceful and cozy cabin. The cabin has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. Tamara is an exceptionally attentive and kind host and clearly goes to great lengths to make sure her guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. ❤️

Such a great cabin for some much needed TLC. We were hoping to hike the Peaks of Otter, but the weather had other plans. We arrived kind of late, but Andy met us at the farm entrance & led the way up the hill to the cabin. He showed us around & have us lots of helpful information. We spent the rainy day driving around the mountains & checking out historic Bedford. We stopped off at Beale’s Brewery for some local beer & food. Great spot! Then for dinner had Bella’s Italian, which was phenomenal! The garlic knots were addicting! We spent the evening relaxing on the back porch enjoying the peaceful views. Sunday the weather was much better so we hiked to the top of the property for the spectacular views. We cooked breakfast in the kitchen each morning, we had everything we needed. The bed was very cozy & the gas fireplaces were so nice & warm! Couldn’t ask for a better cabin getaway! We’ll definitely come back to take another shot at hiking the peaks!

They were amazing to work with. Had to find a place on short notice. They were great! Too our last minute reservation and gave us recommendations for the local area even with weather conditions not being the greatest!

We really appreciate Kent and his wife's hospitality. They were outstanding hosts who thought of everything and were extremely helpful, responsive, and nice. We would stay again

The camping space near the Ordinary is a perfect option for those who are looking to camp and enjoy the outdoors in a more private type setting than a public campground. Even though the space is only about 100 feet away from the Ordinary, it is on an elevated space in a sort of cul de sac that only you will enter, so it feels quite private. Other customers of the Ordinary park about 100 feet away and do not come near the camping area. There are lights, electricity and water provided. The indoor bathroom is easy to access 24/7 as well. Jim was very responsive and helpful. It's about 5 minutes from the Peaks of Otter, so it was a great place to relax for a bit between my hikes of Sharp Top and Harkening Hill. There's also about a dozen overlook options on Blue Ridge Parkway within 10-15 minutes of the site. Bedford is only 10 mins away which has tons of restaurants and shopping options if you forgot anything for your trip. Would definitely stay again if I were hiking in the area!

Fantastic place to stay. Clean space and a wonderful back yard and fenced in area for pets. Would definitely stay again!

Bobby was phenomenal with proactive, timely communication. The space was clean with a simple, but good layout. Shower was hot & everything worked as described. Getting up the hill in the snow was a little tricky if we hadn't had 4wd, but Bobby had warned us so we were able to come prepared. Not as a complaint against the space or Bobby, but to help future potential renters: all the laundry in the space is done with Gain odor defense - so while the space was smoke free if you are sensitive to scents the towels and bedding have a very strong Gain smell that a single wash with free & clear won't resolve. Was what we needed for a place to stay during an unexpected funeral.
