james' place castle cottage

AndyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We were a group of 6 with three generations. The house is very nicely renovated. Hosts were very informative and responsive. Hot tub worked well which we enjoyed. Parking on the street (two cars) was OK, only once did we have to park in a nearby street. Visited the Tiger Inn for lunch which was very welcoming and friendly. Climbed Pen Y Fan with snow and ice on the top which made it an adventure. A nice short break and the house met our needs well.

Hawthorn Lodge with Jacuzzi, sauna and play area

VictoriaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Fantastic peaceful stay in a beautifully located area. The accomodation was everything we hoped for from the details given on the website. The owners were friendly and responsive to any questions we had. Detailed instructions were at the property for everything and Joe came to meet us to explain everything in more detail. Even how to get the fire going to enable the heating to work. They even came by each day to check the hot tub and set the fire up ready to light it when we came back Every detail was thought of within the property from milk in the fridge to board games We loved the geese and ducks on site We loved the hot tub and sauna room too The local pub and food recommendations and local places to visit were greatly appreciated too We would highly recommend this place to friends/family who want to get away from it all and totally relax with the benefit of being a short drive to nearby towns and visitor attractions if you need that too

The Hayloft @ Cantref

ConnorRating, 5 stars2 months ago
I've stayed in several places around the area over the years, This was a bit of a gem however. The site itself has plenty of amenities but is also very conveniently located. it's even well enough known in the community that restaurants can easily deliver. After a birthday spent walking the hills, the hot tub was the perfect way to relax and the house itself was wonderfully warm and well furnished. I would absolutely visit again and recommend to others.

266 Cottage, 4* LOGFIRE, HOTTUB, B'Q,PLAYGD,LOCKUP

HannahRating, 5 stars1 month ago
What a wonderful place to stay. The house itself has a very welcoming vibe and upon entering the property it smelt divine! It is set up so that the whole family can have fun together. It’s in a great location - we went to the the ape and monkey sanctuary, LC Leisure water park and plantasia indoor zoo. The children aged 4-9yrs had such a great time. They talked about it all on the way home. The house is across 3 floors so means everyone stays in shape too ☺️. There are heavy fire doors so anyone with little children just needs to be mindful of fingers, but we had no issues. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to give our children such a wonderful experience in Wales. Thank you so much Diane and Emma for making our stay so special!

Bridge End Cottage - with Parking

EmilyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Great little spot by the river. We were comfotable there for two nights and had a great walk at Sugar Loaf Mountain. We liked the pub next door and the excellent Restaurant across the river with top notch al La Carte menu. As this building must have once been a Toll House for the bridge it is on the road so take ear-plugs if you sleep light. We had no issue with it at all after lots of fresh air and a good dinner! Karen was kind to leave us some welcome treats and we found everything as described for a family get-together. Thankyou.

Walkers Rest at The Hayloft - The Brecon Beacons

ElizabethRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a lovely short break at the Walkers Rest. The property was beautiful, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed and more; Angharad had left us some lovely provisions which were greatly appreciated. As the weather was dry and fairly warm, we were able to sit out and enjoy watching and listening to the birds in the hedgerows. Angharad had left suggestions and recommendations within the property and we thoroughly enjoyed doing the Clytha short circular walk. Visits to Abergavennny and Crickhowell also made the break enjoyable. Thank you so much for letting us visit your wonderful property.

Lilac Cottage, near Abergavenny, Brecon Beacons

JosephRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Carol’s place was superb. A lovely two bed cottage with absolutely everything we needed for a short trip away. We travelled with two little ones and Carol provided a travel cot and booster seat which saved us bringing our own. The cottage itself was spotless, as described and very homely. Carol as a host was a great communicator from booking through to check out. Even when I messaged to say we had left something behind she quickly replied and organised her cleaner to sort it for us. The area is a beautiful one with the local towns of Crickhowell and Abergavenny definitely worth a visit. Would love to stay again in future.

We are returning guests. This is a lovely, cosy little cottage, perfectly positioned for great walking in several stunning areas, some straight from the front door. Alison is a fabulous host, always responding to any questions quickly. There is everything we need - plenty of clean bed linen, towels etc., and a nice comfy bed too. This year, the weather was good enough for us to use the barbecue too!

'Cosy' White hart cottage, backs onto taff trail

JackRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Had a great stay at this Airbnb! The check-in process was seamless, making it super easy to get in and out of the house. The location was ideal—just 25 minutes from the train station, which is perfectly situated between Cardiff and Merthyr Tydfil, making travel really convenient. For the price, this place is an absolute steal. Highly recommended, and I’d definitely stay again!

Llanhilleth Miners Cottage with valley view

We had a lovely stay at the cottage over Christmas. The home is exactly as described and identical to the photos shown. Loved how responsive Meryl was to my messages and that she added some little Christmas touches for our stay. We found some lovely walks a short drive away and we loved exploring the area. The double bed in the main bedroom was super comfy and the home had all items we needed to ensure we had a lovely stress free break. Thanks so much Meryl. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic stay at Craig's place, lovely house! There was a problem with the heating but Craig did everything he could to sort it out within a very quick time and communicated throughout. Thank you so much for everything, the snacks were very well received and everything we needed was there. We would recommend this place.

Authentic 18c Cottage in the Brecon Beacons

CharlesRating, 5 stars7 months ago
5 star location. We where looking for a place to escape the tourist session (we live in Cornwall) & be by the mountains. We look for middle of nowhere and peacefulness when looking for holidays & this is perfect for both. This being said there is the town of brecon just a short drive so you have everything you might need there. Perfect place to go walking from as you can get to smaller carparks just round the corner and walk up the North face of both Cribyn and Pen Y Fan which is a much nicer and quieter walk than the main carparks. The house is what you would expect from the description and photos. we all felt at home straight away. the girls loved staying here & were very sad to leave. It is a old farmhouse & not a 5 star hotel so keep that in mind when booking. Things that are not in the description- there is a stairgate fitted at the top of the landing which was great as we had a 3 year old staying. No light pollution in the evenings & being able to reverse in tight lanes is helpfu

Miners cottage, nr Brecon Beacon

DawnRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A lovely little cottage with beautiful views to the rear. Raymond went above and beyond, leaving Welsh cakes, a bottle of wine and even some treats for the dogs. Well stocked kitchen and lots of space for such a small cottage. Great enclosed rear garden for the dogs with a lovely stream running underneath. Loved the log fire. Sorry we used so much wood!! Will definitely be back and will recommend to family and friends x
