Holiday houses in Blackshear

We had an amazing, much needed vacation. The house was beautiful and had all the amenities needed to make it feel just like home. The attention to detail was spot on.. Chris gave us so many ideas and suggestions on things to do in the area. The pool was a hit with the kids. Chris was super quick at responding to questions and even sent videos on how to do things with the pool. We will definitely be back! The beaches are so beautiful and at low tides exploring was a lot of fun. We saw stingrays, crabs, jelly fish and tons of live sand dollars (that we left alone, please don’t take them if they are alive)… This was our first time on St. Simon Island and we fell in love.

This was a perfect home and location for our long weekend getaway. The bed was firm but very comfortable. The home was stocked with many items which made cooking more convenient. The neighbors had a band one night and we thoroughly enjoyed being on the porch and having our own private concert. Our host was quick to respond to a couple of questions I had prior to and was informative. I have already recommended this place to a friend looking to go to the Savannah area as it's only a 30-40 min drive.

What a beautiful home and property as described and more than we expected. Darlene was fantastic, pleasant and communicated quickly and was responsive. The home had everything you needed from towels, linens, bath supplies, kitchen ware, spices - it truly felt like home away from home including her attention to detail in decor. The home was convenient to the Village, beach and included a golf cart, which we enjoyed taking to local eateries. We enjoyed the hot tub and was pet friendly, which we always include taking our fur babies to make wonderful family memories. Thank you, Darlene!

We enjoyed staying in this location and felt at home. Being able to split the upstairs and down stairs was very accommodating for both of our parties to have privacy, but share the same location. We would stay here again!

Mary made us feel right at home! Her place was incredible, it had everything we needed to enjoy a long weekend on the island for my son’s wedding. We appreciate the welcome note and the bottle of wine and doggie treats. She really went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed.

The place was really nice, and having the bikes and the beach gear is super helpful; however, a number of the bikes had issues and were not able to be used (Brandon was responsive and had someone work on them within a day or two). My son repaired 1-2 bikes himself. Also, the place says that it has a fire pit and a grill, both of which factored into our decision to stay here, but nowhere did we see in the listing that we'd have to buy the propane for these in order to use them. That was disappointing. Who would use an entire tank in a week?! Despite these issues, we had a great stay, and the airbnb is well stocked, esp in the kitchen!

Everything was good and Mark was good with quick communications. Would come back again for sure.

That "ah" feeling of being at the beach was felt just as much on the Stanton Inn porch and inside Apartment A as it was a block away when at the water's edge. The space is just that - spacious. It's also tastefully appointed and the furniture quite comfortable. I spent a month there and would love to return.
