Family-friendly holiday rentals in Blackburn

We had a wonderful stay here, was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The flat has everything you will need including some snacks and fresh eggs. The hot tub was great! Susan was quick to reply and very helpful and friendly. We didn't have a car but it's easy to walk into the village where there is a lovely pub, fish and chips (cash only) and co-op. Speaking of walking, it is right next to a great trail along a sea wall looking over the salt marshes seeing birds and to my shock Blackpool. We had a great time and will hopefully be back again.

Thank you to our fantastic hosts. They went out of their way to make us comfortable. The accommodation and surroundings were well kept and thought out. We had everything we needed for a fantastic stay. The wood fired hot tub and sauna really was the icing on the cake for our holistic retreat. Highly recommended - we will return :)

Wow !!!! I work in a busy city office and my weekends are precious. Sharon was very responsive when I messaged and gave clear helpful directions. From the second we crossed the duel carriage way it was like being transported to another world. It was secluded and very peaceful. The place itself was spotless and warm and inviting. It really was a home from home. It was comfortable in fact so comfortable we didn’t get to the hot tub until the following morning. Highly recommend this secret place. Lovely hosts explained everything to us. Loved it. Thank you

Loved staying here, great for kids and my two daughters particularly loved the animals, especially the cats! Emma was a great host and I would recommend ordering the hamper - was amazing. The cottage was clean and cosy and the views out of the window were incredible

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. Was very clean, refurbished and all facilities were high quality. Great interactive panel for music, lighting, and controls for the facilities. Great extension for darts and hot tub and very suited for large groups to socialise. Bedroom were perfect, comfy beds and hot showers. Really nice place for large groups. Very pleased with our stay.

Had a lovely New Years holiday with family (and dogs) and it did feel like a holiday. Hosts were very attentive (with hot tub, and asking about wi-fi) yet I think made sure to let us feel comfortable and give us our privacy. A 15 minute walk to shop, or 2 minute drive - we also visited Blackpool (30 minute drive). Clean beds, lovely living room and can't fault value for money, and would recommend. Thanks for having us!!

Stayed for NYE, was a lovely stay. Perfect for a family get away. Hot tub was lovely. Very relaxing stay.

Mike and the apartment where great ! felt right at home with everything there you could need for children pets and ourselves. Breakfast was an awesome touch with again everything you would need. Liiterally has everything travels would need. Beautiful property inside amd out. Many thanks guys amd we would absolutely stay with you again 🙂🙂🙂

Jane communicated all we needed to know. Getting in to the property was easy. lovely bungalow, very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Good shower. Had everything we needed in the kitchen. Local walks were fantastic, would definitely book again

Accommodation was bigger than we expected, lots of space. Ideal location to visit my daughter at Liverpool University, just 5mins walk. Very easy 30min walk into city centre. Easy to find & Joe was super responsive. Would definitely recommend.

Loverly annex very clean and tidy. Quiet location big garden with great views. Bed very comfy kitchen stocked with cereals bread milk butter and jam and teas and coffees. Near to clitheroe skipton and knaresbrough where we spent days out. Emmott Arms 6 minutes away highly recommended great food. Will definitely be going back to the annex thank you Molly Xxx

We’re just back from our stay here and it was a great base for us visiting family nearby. My elderly mam was with me and we really benefited from everything on one floor for my mam and her mobility. We’ll definitely return.

Nice barn conversion run by a very nice couple who live on site. Nice and warm, I think the unfloor heating was from a biomass boiler. We had a couple of minor issues but Ann and her husband sorted them quickly.

Fantastic Air B&B, location is brilliant. A lovely restaurant across the road. The accommodation was clean, with everything we needed during our stay. Holly was a perfect host and communicated well. Definitely recommend and will be staying again when in the area.

Stayed with a group of friends - was fantastic, the gaming room, the pool, the garden/bbq areas, freshly cut football pitch. Only issue was one of the wifi routers didn’t work, but we worked around it.

The accommodation is exactly as described, it's cosy, has incredible views and is surrounded by farm animals. The Goats are super friendly and loved having an apple in the morning and their heads scratched. We explored the surrounding country side and sat by the lake - it's very private and so peaceful. John is super friendly but leaves you too it, he answers messages if needed and was friendly when we bumped into him on a walk but other than that he leaves you be which I love. it's not pristine clean but that is clearly stated in the description, its in the middle of a farmers field but in the same breath it's not dirty, the furnishings, bathroom and kitchen were clean. it was a perfect weekend for us and we will definitely return.

Visited Lower Gill Farmhouse as part of my mum's 70th Birthday celebrations. 12 of us ranging in age from 5 to 75! All rooms were a great size, was excellent having 3 en-suite rooms along with a very large main bathroom and a downstairs toilet. The Kitchen was lovely, everything we needed and more - might have been nice to have tea/coffee and a little milk left for when we arrived after a long drive but luckily our tesco delivery arrived early so this wasn't too much of a problem. The living room had 3 good size sofas so we could all relax in front of the log burner. We made full use of the pool, games room, football pitch and tennis courts - a great addition especially for the kids and 4 hours allocation each day was perfect. Our dogs had a ball too - lots of places for them to run and play. Even in January we managed to spend lots of time outside and the little stream at the back of the cottaqe was wonderful. Great response from our host too, even though she was on holiday herself.

A beautiful cottage in an amazing area. we walked most days and did bot require the car all that much. we walkedto 4 local villages...visiting The Ablingdon Arms at Beckley on a few occasions. Our doggo was super happy in the cottage as were we! Cosy nights watching TV in the living room to big breakfasts around the dining table...and yhe odd midday nap. There has been alot of thought put into this place by the owners and it shows!
