A perfect haven for hikers, skiers and all who love the beauty of the ADK, Don’s place high up on a ridge overlooking majestic peaks is a truly special and unique experience. Worth every penny and deserving of more than 5 stars, you will want to return again and again to enjoy stunning views, all the comforts home ( full kitchen, comfy beds, fireplace and hot tub) and a kind and attentive host who is a local expert on the trails and history of the ADK, and who is generous with his time and knowledge to help create a memorable experience for his guests. We enjoyed a wintry wonderland this visit with excellent skiing at nearby xc ski centers, including expert trails at MVH Olympic Center and easy wooded trails at the ADK Welcome Center, all expertly groomed. Don’s place is perfect for winter climbing from the ADK Loj, ice skating on Mirror Lake, viewing World Cup events at the Olympic sites, and dining and shopping in nearby Lake Placid. It is a gem that is too good to miss. Enjoy!

Brianna is a wonderful host, very friendly, always available and ready to help in anything we may need. The house is like a Dream House. Lovely living room with a fireplace, TV and a big and comfy sofa. Every room in the house was excellently decorated with a high test and good sense of space making you feel warm and welcome, like your own home. The surroundings are so beautiful that you even have a river running in the backyard. Like fairytale stories. The most amazing thing is the Kitchen fully equipped with seasonings, coffee, tea and beautiful crockery and pot sets. Everything you may need for a memorable vacation is here! We loved this place and definitely we're going to come back. Thank you very much Brianna, you're amazing!

My family had a great three nights at this lovely home. Close to town and very warm feeling as soon as you enter. Loved the space, bedrooms are spaced out in a perfect way. Beds are very comfortable, bathrooms are beautiful. Shower pressure was amazing! We chose to cook one night and the kitchen was well stocked and space was excellent. Nights spent in front of the fireplace with a cocktail. Just a great home to spend quality family time together. Thank you for having us!

We have stayed at this property several times and it is always clean and easy to access. Sarah is great at communicating and responds quickly if needed. We enjoy the view from the private sandy beach and the nostalgic vibe of the house and furnishings. We’ve been able to find some good restaurants locally and the grocery store is convenient and well stocked and friendly. I would definitely recommend this property!

I’m very happy going there with my family!! Would definitely recommend to any family they would enjoy everything at Jon’s place for sure!!! The area is beautiful!! 100 percent recommend- I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

We had such a wonderful time staying at Linda’s beautiful home. The house was extremely clean and had everything we needed. Linda left clear instructions that made it easy to leave the house nice and ready for check out. The hot tub and pool table were a huge hit! We were able to park one car in the garage which was a great perk with all of the Lake Placid snow. The kitchen was beautiful and had everything we needed to make our meals. The bedrooms were clean and spacious, and so cozy. Location-wise, we were super close to town, and only a short drive to places such as white face mountain and the Olympic ski jumps! I can’t think of anything negative to say- we had such a blast and will definitely plan to come back soon:) thank you Linda!

What a hidden gem!! Everything was wonderful and the location is amazing. A little hard to find, but worth it because it was private. TVs did work well but we weren’t there to watch TV. The place was clean and it had EVERYTHING we needed. It had every pot, pan and spice you could ever ask for. Plenty of seating, rooms were nice, porch was amazing. Plenty of places to sleep. We would absolutely go back anytime!! Thank you for a wonderful time!

It’s a very nice cozy place in the village and just minutes from Gore if you’re a skier. The place is just as advertised, was easy to find, and checkin was easy too. No surprises. Rebecca is very responsive and very pleasant. We left one item in the unit and Rebecca called me to let me know she has it. She will make arrangements with the owner to get it returned. Thought that was very thoughtful of her.

Mary was the best host! She was extremely communicative, even allowed us to check in early. The home was clean, the beds were very comfortable, each bedroom had it's own bathroom and the kitchen was fully stocked. It was perfectly located to town and an easy drive to Whiteface Mountain. I would highly recommend staying here!!

Loved our stay! Incredibly clean and quiet. Even more beautiful than the pictures. Location was fantastic. Incredibly close to Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. Hot tub overlooking the pond was definitely a highlight.

This is our second year staying here during snowmobile season. A beautiful house in a great location! Easy access to the trails and restaurants!

This is a large, beautiful and mostly well-appointed home in a scenic area and high-end neighborhood. The house is in very good condition with clean and comfortable furnishings. It worked very well for our fairly large group of 3 couples and two adult children. Each couple and child had their own comfortable bedroom with space to spare. It was a wonderful home base for us to visit with local families in the area for holiday celebrations. My only minor issues were: While the seating in the living room was quality, clean and comfortable, it was not an ideal arrangement for the space, and also, while the kitchen was large, clean, new-looking it is challenging to cook for the number of guests the house can accommodate. The beautiful kitchen was not really equipped to the size and standard it deserved. All that said, we would definitely stay again with pleasure.
