Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Berwick-upon-Tweed

Back once more and the house is again excellent, with the great location adding onto the clean and well furnished rooms. Always a great place to relax after a day walking on the beach, the sea air tires you right out!

We loved staying at Caroline's place. The children aged 7-14 were kept busy our whole stay and we adults loved the peacefulness of the upstairs living area with roaring fire. We also enjoyed quality time with our children playing on the many facilities with them. We will hopefully be back for another stay soon.

We had a lovely couple of day's stay in John's beautiful cottage. John phoned to make sure we had received the key code and to see if we had any questions. The cottage is in a superb position in the village with stunning views of the castle, the Farne islands and the harbour from the kitchen, the garden and from both bedrooms. The cottage is very well-equipped for being self-catering if you do not want to eat out at the lovely pub next door! You can park the car right outside and charge it ( if it is electric). Therefore, once you have arrived you can go on lovely walks around the island and, if you time it right with the tides, you can be there when the island is cut off, all the day-trippers have gone, and it is so peaceful. Cottage was MUCH better than expected based on pictures. Garden fabulous. Just few mins through lovely park and in main st. Loads lovely glasses. Nice wee touches like shampoo, herbs. Lots of room. Already planning return trip. Thank you.

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL HOME! This is probably the BEST place we have ever stayed in with Airbnb. The house we spotless and everything was so well provided for. They even had hot chocolate for kids and really good coffee options for adults, pasta, rice, so many canned food options and oats and what not. Fully stocked kitchen! For kids, they had lots of toys and books. The kids room was the highlight - they had really amazing books nicely laid out as well as a wonderful very clean kitchen set for kids to play with. It really felt like we have just walked right in our home. The playground was the cherry on top. Kids loved climbing and swinging. They even had bubble sets and outdoor playset for the kids and a BBQ set for those who wish to try their hand at BBQ. Can't recommend them enough. Our family of 8 had a great stay and we loved every minute of it. Wished we stayed longer here. We will definitely stay here if we come back to Edinburgh!

Justyna’s place is a beautiful, warm and welcoming home. It’s actually the family’s residence and she’d given it on Airbnb while they may be traveling. We went there around Christmas so we got the house all decked up with a beautiful lit Christmas tree, something which came as a pleasant surprise and goes on to show how thoughtful the host is! What’s great about the place: - Squeaky clean (you get the house in such spic & span condition that you are always too careful to keep it that way!) - Has everything one needs - Equipments all working; kitchen was very organised - Supplies were generous (both in kitchen, bathroom etc) - Peaceful and safe neighborhood - Justyna is very responsive and friendly; she was very accommodating for a late checkout - Gorgeous backyard What one can be mindful of when booking: May be it was the public holidays but cabs from the neighborhood to city centre have a longish wait time (15-20 mins) so one has to plan accordingly. Will definitely stay again!

I had a lovely stay at Rachel's with my family, my five year old didn't want to leave and when asked what her favourite thing was about Edinburgh she said the bath! It was comfortable and stylish and Rachel was a great host and have us lots of help including a recommendation for food where we ate three times! I would definitely recommend.

My mum and I had an amazing stay here over Christmas! The place was so homely and cozy. Daniel had set it up wonderfully with Christmas decorations to make it feel like home, and had provided milk, juice and snacks. It was super easy to check in and the place was very clean and tidy and spacious. Easy walking distance to both the new and old town areas, we didn’t need to catch public transport once. Daniel was great with communication before and during, and very helpful with recommendations. We had a wonderful stay, thank you so much!!

Fantastic apartment right in the heart of Edinburgh - in easy reach of all the city has to offer. Spacious & beautifully furnished - I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit - we had a party of 6 and still found it had plenty of room to accommodate. I would certainly come back when we visit again.

Great apartment location with everything you could need (especially bits in the kitchen!). Easy to get into the city centre on the no.23 bus! Would definitely stay again if coming back to Edinburgh.

Keith's place is excellent. Spacious and in an ideal location; close to everything but very quiet. Highly recommend.

Rona was a superb host. Amazing communication and support offered throughout. The property was perfect for our families. Full of character, walking distance to all amenities, approx 20min - 25min walk to all of Edinburgh's main attractions. Great place to stay especially with a baby. Loved how baby friendly the space was and all the extra thoughts for anyone travelling with a little on.

We booked the flat for a few days for my Dad to stay over Christmas. The flat was ideal, Craig had left a few Christmas treats, which was really appreciated. The flat was spotless and my Dad felt right at home. We will definitely book again!

Excellent, spacious flat. Really nice touches of bread, milk, coffees, teas. Ideal location for beach walking and exploring the Northumberian coast. Super hosts - nothing is too much trouble. We'll definitely book again.

Great accommodation, clean, tidy and warm. easy walk in to the city centre, where we found plenty to do. Overall a wonderful location and accommodation for our stay in Edinburgh, would definitely choose this place again.

A perfect location within easy walking distance to the golf club, Gullane beach and local pubs and eateries. The apartment was extremely clean and has been maintained to a high & modern standard.

Absolutely great place to stay with 2 12 year old boys. Brilliant location and so much to do - Caroline gave us some fab recommendations. The flat was in a perfect location - close to the beach and loads of places to eat. The boys loved the bunk beds and I was impressed with the size of the rooms. Kitchen well equipped if you wanted to cook but we ate out for most meals. The bathroom is a wet room - so take crocs for using the toilet after a shower to avoid wet feet - this was not a problem for us at all and the shower was lovely and warm. Lots of little touches were great, biscuits and tea and coffee, toilet roll, cleaning products so if you arrived late no problem - also a shop over the road. Highly recommend as a lovely downstairs flat with parking near the sea - perfect.

We had a lovely stay in this flat. It was just a few minutes walk from all the attractions around the castle but in a quiet enough area to feel more like home. There were restaurants, pubs, and shops all within a block or two. Our arrival was perfectly easy and the stay in the flat was nice. I would heartily recommend this location for anyone who can easily navigate the stairs to the first floor.

Lovely stay and Sue was helpful from the start until the end. I would recommend and definitely use again.
