Winnow Stables - romantic getaway for 2

YolandaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Lovely cottage in the middle of idyllic surroundings. Brilliant for those who love to walk. Andrea was friendly and a great host. She also recommended some places to eat. We tried the Black Lion and would highly recommend. The cottage was cosy and warm, and beautifully laid out with everything you could need. We booked the hot tub, however hadn't appreciated that we'd have to light and that it would take 2.5 hours to heat up. Minor point, clearer up front communication before booking would have been useful. Overall, had a great time and ideal place to celebrate our anniversary. Would highly recommend. Yolanda ☺️

Hunters Cottage. Wheatsheaf Mews

ClaireRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Great stay at Hunter's cottage for myself, husband & our dog. Five pit trail right on our doorstep, so lots of walking & accessible right from the back gate. We ventured out to Hardwick Hall which had lovely views & tried the local chippy - be warned that when they say large portion of chips they mean large! We had everything we needed for our 3 night stay & the hot tub was lovely! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or revisit ourselves.

Cottage by the Pond Self Catering

GailRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Beautiful accommodation with spectacular views. The cottage was spotlessly clean, cosy and nicely furnished. It had all the equipment we needed and also had facilities if a couple of guests were less mobile. Ideally situated to explore the Peak District. Sue and Terry were great hosts. We'd love to come back!

Woodview lodge Peak District and Derbyshire

We had a lovely week at Wood View, it felt like a home away from home which was surprising as often dog friendly places can seem uninviting. Karen was a fabulous host and couldn’t do more for us. We will be back!

The Dairy, stunning views & close to Alton Towers

SujithRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We just had an incredible two-night stay here, and we can't say enough good things! Nathan was always nearby and amazingly helpful, making our experience feel just like home. The place is a hidden gem—so peaceful and a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city! With Katie and Nathan living just a stone's throw away, we felt completely private and safe. The highlight of our mornings? A refreshing stroll around the farm, something we had missed for far too long! This place has absolutely stolen our hearts. It’s truly worth every moment, and we will definitely recommend it highly to all our friends and family!

Milne’s corner yurt at Peake’s Retreats

LaurenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our stay at Sarah's was fantastic. I ordered the birthday package and all the decorations were ready for our arrival and looked great. The yurt is amazing and very roomy. The bathroom and kitchen had all we needed and we're just a short walk away. The hot tub does take a long time to heat up but Sarah started it off for us to speed things up. We went to some amazing sites in the peak District (Lud's church, Thor's cave and Rudyard lake) which were under an hour away. We would definitely recommend.

Thistledown Cottage, Snitterton near Matlock

JennyRating, 5 starstoday
What an incredible place! We fell in love with it. We were given excellent instructions prior to arrival and the owners came to say hi with the horses which my children loved. They also made friends wirh the two dogs and cat. The cottage has everything you could need, was really warm and cosy and had a lovely modern kitchen. The location is perfect, peaceful with no noise but close to Matlock. The lambs in the field next door were gorgeous! We will definitely be back, honestly couldnt fault it xxx

Swallow Cottage, beautiful, spacious and relaxing.

DaniRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Lots of things to love about this place. On arrival we got straight in and had been left a pint of milk which was a nice touch as we were gasping for a cuppa. Place was spotlessly clean and tidy. Loved the garden - fully enclosed and large - perfect for our 2 dogs. Beds and linen were comfortable. Showers large and good water pressure. Kitchen well stocked with cooking essentials, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, French press, mugs, teapot, eggcups etc Clear instructions on recycling. A couple of things the host may not be aware of: The kettle turns itself on randomly - prob wants replacing as may be a fire risk. We turned it off at the plug. The kitchen knives are blunt - need either replacing or sharpening. We bought one in Tesco to use during our stay We would have appreciated bigger bath towels - not a deal breaker but we are used to bath sheets at home. The coil has come loose on the French press making it difficult to press down - may need replacing.

Light, spacious modern home in lovely Wirksworth

NikkiRating, 5 stars2 days ago
I booked a last minute couple of days stay for myself and 12 year old son. The whole bungalow is homely, the beds are super comfortable, kitchen has everything you need and the views…. Breath taking! The walks directly out the back were perfect for wearing our Labrador out and exploring. The photos don’t really do it justice, you have to see it for yourself. The village itself is lovely and there are some fantastic independent shops, pubs and restaurants. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be revisiting. Thanks Vicky.

A lovely quiet location as a base to explore the Derbyshire Dales. The cottage is very cosy with everything you could want for your stay. Lots of walks right from the front door, including the Tissington Trail that takes you into Ashbourne, and a pub just minutes away on foot. Would definitely recommend.

The Old Toffee Shop

KateRating, 5 stars4 months ago
An amazing property, best I’ve booked on Airbnb. Beautifully presented, extremely clean and very well stocked. You can tell the love and care that has gone into creating this rental and Julie clearly has very good taste. Everything you could possibly need - Julie has included it and she’s gone the extra mile with lovely extra touches. The cottage is well located right in the heart of Tideswell with walks and restaurants on your doorstep. If you have a dog, the boot room outside is fantastic with its warm shower and Julie even supplies dog towels and shampoo. I cannot recommend this property enough and we’ll most certainly be back!

Charming 6-Bedroom Winster Village, Peak District

LindaRating, 5 stars2 days ago
What a fabulous house, with oodles of charm and character. We had a fantastic time catching up with family from far and wide. It was perfect. With a bath/shower room for each of the six bedrooms we were all well catered for. The living room and dining room were each big enough for us all to gather together. Great communication with Nicola and Lolly. Highly recommend.

Luxury Peak District Home - 2 miles from Ashbourne

JasmineRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Great stay as a family of 5 with two children and 1 infant. The stay was pleasant and a great location. We visited alton towers as well as Thorpe and Ashbourne. Great communication. Great recommendations. Very nice cottage and had everything you need to cook, relax, etc. Rooms were good, we didn't love the bed but it's personal choice. A bit noisy having our baby in the travel cot but we slept okay. We didn't get to explore any walks but seems to be in such a fab location to do some.

Haddon Grove Farmhouse - with pool & lots of heart

OliverRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. The space is great and as an extra bonus, you get to use a heated pool and brilliant games room. We went early Jan and there was loads of snow, as well as pretty cold temperatures, but the house warmed up very quickly and we were always more than comfortable. The property is close enough to Bakewell for a short drive or taxi ride, should you want to venture into town. We're thinking about going back in the summer.

The Manor House

EiraRating, 5 stars36 months ago
What a wonderful stay at Manor Farm. The house was beautiful, well maintained, extremely spacious and very comfortable. The surrounding countryside was stunning, with great food being served in nearby pubs and plenty of places to visit. Great space for youngsters too, with the wildlife - baby rabbits, sheep and birds and of course the swimming pool and games room, all of which they loved. Thanks to the hosts for their welcome and hospitable atmosphere.

Family Home Getaway - Hot Tub, Sauna & Swim Spa

SarahRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We stayed in the main farm house in a group of 6. The house was beautiful, spacious and comfortable in every room. The garden was large with a hot tub, outdoor seating and sand pit for the kids. Loved the fact you can feed the goats, there was a full guide to recommended places nearby for days out and places to see or visit. The host was really lovely and available to help whenever we needed. We would definitely love to come back here and see more of the surrounding areas and especially chatsworth house and gardens. Highly recommend for anyone wishing to have a chilled, peaceful holiday and for people wanting to get out and see the beautiful local towns, history and days out with the kids. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

Badgers Wood

JackRating, 5 stars44 months ago
Great value for money. Can't stress enough how friendly and reliable the staff were. We had a lovely week stay, the house was clean, the beds were comfy and the scenery was perfect. We were informed of the booking system for the swimming pool and games room, so you could have the room to yourself which was great. The pool was clean, the games room was kept tidy and the house surroundings were really lovely to walk around. You can tell the grounds were well maintained and kept in good shape as the workers never stopped, but were always so friendly. This property is perfect for bike riders, walkers and pub crawlers. You couldn't get bored.
