House holiday rentals in Beara Peninsula

From start to finish we loved this place, it was everything and more. The house was spotless and had a vast array of appliances and space. We loved the peaceful nature around it and the view! As it was our first time in Castletownbere we appreciated all the local recommendations and every single person we met was so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend and thank you to John for sharing this gem with us.

The apartment has everything you need for a short stay in a remote peaceful setting. Communication re. check in was great. There is a lockbox for self check in however Nina met us on arrival and showed us around. The apartment was clean, warm and well stocked. There is not much room for luggage so pack light as the space is small. We chose this mainly for the sauna and plunge pool and they did not disappoint. Noel has done a wonderful job on the wood burning sauna and the natural plunge pool is what you would dream of having in your garden, it really was magical. We did not manage to use the fire pit as the weather was wet and windy but it looked lovely. We drove the Beara Way one of the days and was easily done from this location. The drive from Bantry and the nearest pub/restaurant is about 15 minutes on a narrow country road that I would not recommend doing in the dark so if you want peace and quiet and are happy to be secluded in the evenings this is the place for you.

Started in Peter's house for one night a couple weekends ago. It was a great place to find, house was spotless and Peter was an excellent host to deal with.

We were a family of 4 adults - a 16 year old and an 8 year old and the house and location were ideal for us as the 2 adults and 2 kids were visiting from Australia. We were able to entertain friends who popped in as there was so much space, well equipped kitchen, huge BBQ etc. We loved this house and would go back. The only negative was the WiFi was not great in the house, but it's also not great reception in the area - so hopefully that will improve. If you were going to work while staying it wouldn't be easy to do so. A great experience was had by all and the highlight was being able to use the pool and leisure centre in Sheen Falls Hotel across the road. Whenever we needed anything Paudie or Kathy were on it immediately.

Great location, really lovely and spacious house - perfect for our two families, great communication with the hosts. Thanks for having us!

This is my second time staying at Birgit’s Airbnb. I wondered how the magic of the first stay could ever be replicated, but it was! The views were still extraordinary and birgit was still so helpful and communicative (and so nice even when I locked myself out at 10 pm!). I’ll be back!

Lovely home in a great location. Walkable to the town via a path right next to the house. Well equipped with all necessary utilities. Very responsive host with easy instructions for accessing the property. Would highly recommend a stay in John’s home in the lovely town of Kenmare.

I would give 11 out of 10 if I could. The home is so stylish and comfortably furnished, and feels very luxurious. Whatever the weather here, the views across the bay were always fabulous and ever changing. I had arrived with high expectations which it totally met and indeed surpassed. Painful to have to leave. The only consolation was to promise ourselves that we would come back again soon.

We were 3 families of 4 (children all ages 4-8) that stayed in Jacqueline's place for 3 nights at the end of November. What a fantastic house and host, Jacqueline made us feel at home straight away, communicated all the house information and left us with a very nice welcome hamper. She was very responsive to all messages. The house was pristine, even better than the pictures! The kitchen was fully kitted out with a score of cutlery/utensils/crockery/pots & pans/glasses etc... The bedrooms had all the towels, beddings needed with additional available if required. The house is really well located, a walking distance from the town center, parcs, shops, restaurants and bars. Highly recommended for any group wanting to visit Killarney. We will definitely come back again.

Lovely stay in Roscarbery , although I didn’t meet our hosts they were in contact and answered any questions we had quickly. Very cosy house especially with the open fire . Very enjoyable short break.

Had a fantastic stay with a group of friends over the weekend! Views out of this world. So calm, peaceful and relaxing! Incredible for stargazing at night, beautiful view of the Skelligs and Derrynane Bay. Great walks and scenery and friendly locals. Brilliant kayaking experience facilitated by neighbour Noel. Beautiful house in a stunning location. The house was very clean, comfortable and warm. Plenty of space in all the rooms and the views from all the windows were fabulous. Close to Ventry for beach, walks and one or two restaurants and only 10 minutes from Dingle. The host was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend!

Sheila's Cottage is really a gem - tucked away from the main touristic routes it's the old farm house on her property renovated and cozy. We felt very welcome and love our time there! We booked very last minute on the same day - there simply was no time to clean the floors. But everything else, kitchen, bathroom and beds were very clean and comfortable! I absolutely recommend Sheila's cottage if you're looking for some peace and quiet for a family and for a more than fair price.

Beautiful part of the world, great view. Sheep and wild deer in the fields surrounding the house. The house was very clean, spacious and quickly warm. The host made us feel at home. Thanks

Lovely home and beautiful grounds. We appreciated that mary had the heat and hot water turned on before we arrived. She had a binder of helpful tips on operating appliances etc. and suggestions of nearby restaurants and attractions. She was accommodating when we asked for early checkin.

A great weekend in Emer's house. It was perfect for a large family get together which fitted us easily with the 5 bedrooms. House was very clean and great heating as it was cold outside during our stay. Emer was a great host. All instructions sent were easy to follow and no fuss with any of our requests made. Great location to with short walk to the town

Everything was perfect for our family of 7 adults . Stayed two weeks and everything was very convenient and close to town within 10 minutes . Food stores also within walking distance. This was our second time there . We will be back again .

Bernadette’s cottage was clean peaceful and quiet with amazing views and all the amenities needed for a warm and relaxing stay. Would stay again if in County Cork.

The home was beautiful and a great location. It is 3/4 of a mile from Dingle center and an easy walk. We had everything we needed! The home was spotless, modern and decorated for the holidays. We really enjoyed our stay!

Brilliant property, great location, fab views, well equipped and cosy. We had a great long weekend with my parents in law, was very accessible for my disabled mum in law as there was a fabulous downstairs en-suite bedroom . Anne Marie was so helpful and responded really quickly to any questions we had. We can’t wait to go back again soon.

We had a lovely 3 night stay in Ros’s house in Kenmare. Lovely warm comfortable family space, with welcoming treats of home made bread and cakes on arrival and a kitchen filled with all utensils and essentials to be able to enjoy a relaxed stay without running to the shop. We didn’t get great weather so we were grateful for the fire and tv and comfortable couches for reading and card games. Would recommend.
