Family-friendly holiday rentals in Barton

Antique home with fenced in yard, updated bathrooms and appliances, and indoor hot tub was perfect for my family of 5 plus dog. We appreciated being a little outside of the hustle and bustle of Stowe on a busy tourist weekend, but still accessible and allowed us to explore many of the trails, breweries, restaurants, and farm stands outside of town, which was great and a more authentic Vermont experience. Beautiful home, as described. Nice personal touches with towels and mini shampoo/conditioner. Kitchen is large and has most every appliance you would want. Caretaker does come in twice per day but is friendly and unobtrusive. You do need AWD/4WD to access the house.

Samantha and Chris's place was a perfect spot for a Smugglers Notch getaway! it's a beautiful home, perfect for a family of 4. Even in cold temperatures( at -5F and lower) with lots of snow, the place was cozy warm with the wood burning furnace (clean and devoid of smoke) as well a propane heater downstairs. Literally 2 turns from the slopes of a great family ski mountain! But the views and location of the property were amazing for those wanting to do other things than ski. Samantha was responsive and an excellent communicator. I have to throw in that everything in their kitchen was in excellent condition (every appliance) including sharp functional chef knives (an uncommon phenomenon for a renter) Thank you Samantha and Chris! Sharing your home with us was a touch- stone of great new family memories!

This was our second time staying at Evangelyn's cabin and we would absolutely come again. And next time we'll stay even longer. The cabin is very cozy and homey, and the surroundings are beautiful. We also love the hot tub! 100% would recommend!

Incredible space - only complaint is we didn’t rent it for a week! Luxe details - the beds, the towels, even the smallest thoughtful details made it extraordinary. Jen nailed it, 10/10. My family agreed it was one of the most relaxing, comfortable weekends we could’ve experienced. Truly special. Home away from home! Susan was a fantastic host. She was very responsive and communicated quickly. This home was perfect for our group of 6 and it was extremely cozy! This was our first time in Vermont and it definitely exceeded all of our expectations. If you looking for a pleasant place to stay with amazing views, look no further than this adorable Airbnb! We skied in Stowe, toured the Ben and Jerry’s ice cream factory down the road and enjoyed some live music at the ZenBarn. I would highly recommend this property! We hope to visit again soon :)

Great place to stay for a ski trip at Sutton. Very close to Sutton ski resort. Great light in the house. All you need for you stay is there. If you intend to use the fireplace make sure you bring you own wood. Same for cooking, bring all the ingredient, spices, oils, etc. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much.

Steve's place was great! Reasonably close to Stowe, easy to check in and out, and as described in the listing.

We had a lovely week at Mathieu's! The site is splendid and the nature beautiful! We can't wait to come back!

The perfect getaway! Libby and Silas were so accommodating and kind in the midst of a snow storm. Their cottage is adorable, so cozy, so peaceful ❤️ thank you a million!

The dream house is unique. Rustic but with everything one could want. The setting could not be more beautiful. Gerette is a warm and caring host. I highly recommend this house and her.

Excellent location. 30 second walk to grocery store, and very close to shops and restaurants. Easy drive to Stowe. Definitely a bit of road noise, but not a big deal for us. Thanks for a comfortable place and a great stay. Would definitely return.

Ideal for a quiet escape to the Vermont woods with a dog. Close enough to Morrisville and Stowe for supplies, but still feels like a retreat. The cabin had delightful character and lots of relaxing space. The kitchen had what we needed for cooking (pans, toaster, etc). We loved being able to let the dog explore the back yard. It snowed while we were there and the access road was plowed quickly (enough for my sedan with only minimal snow tires to drive out).

Awesome stay for 3 young families. Quick 25 minute ride to Jay, just under 40 to Newport. 360° views of gorgeous the North East Kingdom. Would highly recommend!!

This was a good place for our extended family to spend a weekend. Beth was a fine host. Unfortunately, we won’t be staying in any Airbnb places again, since their leader has decided to align himself with our growing fascist government. There are other more democratic choices.

This was our second time staying at Will's place, and it was just as delightful as the first time! It is such a warm and cozy place, with charming touches throughout. It had everything we needed, and even though it was very cold outside, Will took the time to ask and ensure we were warm enough (we were!) The location! I mean, a 7-minute walk to the heart of Montpelier! You can't ask for a better location if you are headed to Montpelier. We can't recommend it enough! Thank you guys!!

Our family had a great time at the Topnotch Resorts. The unit was cozy and clean with everything we needed. It was great to have access to a washer and dryer to throw in the ski clothes from the day. The indoor pool and hot tub facility was beautiful with fresh towels available and and a family changing area. The outdoor pool and hot tub were also awesome with a view of the mountains in the background. Kelly at the front desk was a complete pleasure to work with. She answered all of our questions promptly and went above and beyond to help us and made sure our stay was amazing. We will be back!

Keita's home was beautiful! right next to the river and very peaceful. The space was cozy and perfect for a getaway.

This place is great! The pictures do not do a justice. This apartment is very open, lots of space! And the views of the mountains are incredible! Chad was very responsive and a great host! Would stay again!

PERFECT winter getaway! The location was amazing…our room had a wonderful view of the mountain, pool and hot tub. The resort itself was beautiful-great staff! Nice shops, excellent dining and bars! And, of course-snowboarding! Will definitely return! Can’t say enough about Stowe Mountain Resort! AWESOME!

The condo @ Jay Peak was the perfect base for our family skiing vacation, which provided amazing ski-in/ski-out access to everything Jay Peak has offer. The condo was extremely clean, well furnished, and a top notch location. Susie was a great host, and we look forward to staying at the condo in the future!

We love our stay. Kitchen was well stocked which made cooking easy. Bathrooms were spotless. Kids loved the games. TVs were huge and we enjoyed watching movies after a long day skiing. Very convenient to ski Stowe. The pool, hot tub and sauna at the community center were great!

a fantastic stay! they were able to accommodate us last minute with the instant booking! it was truly a great place with extra amenities like Tide and bounce sheets for laundry! we had a fantastic time would highly recommend!

Awesome spot to spend a few days with friends. The space is bigger than the photos make it seem. Tons of sunlight. Picturesque surroundings. As the hosts mention, the driveway needs an AWD in the winter — our car did not make it up but the emergency parking spot at the bottom of the drive is a very short walk away.
