Holiday houses in Barbour County

We are from the area but had never stayed here before. It was exactly as promised. Very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay. Took a minute to realize we were near a haunted house and that’s what we were hearing and not something sinister going on in the woods. We loved it was near the park and was able to go on a nice hike. Glad the yurt had extra propane as it was a very cold night but we stayed comfortable. Enjoyed some marshmallows and happy to have extra firewood! Was clean and comfortable and would definitely do it again.

Nice safe CLEAN place to lay our heads. Quiet. And I stress…. CLEAN!!!! 2 double beds in our room. Hot water. 2nd floor…no elevator.. The stairs are not bad…If you can’t do stairs request the ground floor. Perfect location to Audra State Park and downtown Philippi. If you have not been to Audra…100% recommend. Quick and easy check in. Added bonus…delicious restaurant IN the same parking lot. Closes at 8…Dinner was wonderful and portions were large. PHILIPPI INN… HIGHLY RECOMMEND for your lunch or dinner. Didn’t have breakfast there. Breakfast at the Medallion. Only double barreled covered bridge that is still a US highway!! Oldest covered bridge in WV. Lurch was raised in Philippi. Check out Artefaktual and Gretchen…ONLY Philippi store open on Sunday. Philippi store owners… wake up and open up!!

What a wonderful stay! This home is so very comfortable and well equipped. It’s decorated beautifully. The light fixtures and faucets are all fun and pretty. There are too many lovely features to mention them all, but my favorites are: the double sided gas fireplace is inviting, the carved stone sink is a work of art, the rain shower head and heated bathroom floor spoiled us, what a treat! There are thoughtful details in every room. The beds are great and have the Goldilocks factor of being “just right”. Every window offers a beautiful view of the acreage, deer and/or the river. Love the kitchen! What a stove, and please thank the chickens for the yummy eggs! We made several delicious meals and found everything we needed. Thank you for responding so quickly when I locked us out upon leaving, that was very kind and much appreciated. We felt at home instantly and can’t wait to return!

we had an amazing weekend at the Yurt. Very peaceful, private, everything you could possibly need for a great experience camping. Alex answered all my questions very quickly, had everything clean and fully stocked with anything we could think of. we were 2 women by ourselves and felt safe and comfortable the whole time. We would highly recommend this property, lots local to see and wonderful local little restaurants close by. We look forward to staying here again when we are in the area. And will recommend to our family and friends.

Dennis was awesome. Very cute place lovely neighbors safe surroundings walkable to restaurant and cafe. The city had all the amenities you need the local towns less than 30 miles away to have major amenities on available. Lovely hosts with definitely book with Dennis again. The place felt like a home away from home everything an airbnb gas could ask for!
