The place is great, low key neighborhood. The unit was clean and cozy. The hot tub was awesome and I would imagine the pool would be just as nice if our visit was not during February! Will definitely think about going again when a night or two away is wanted.

Perfect spot for family and friends to do everything needed to relax and have fun. Huge swimming pool, relaxing hot tub, board games, and tons of space to sleep many guests. We will bring more next time!

We used the Jarvis Homestead for our friends and family to stay the week of our micro wedding. This space was everything we needed it to be. It was very clean and well kept, has tons of space, and was a beautiful environment for a wedding reception afterward. It does have some quirks as it is an old home such as doors opening and closing well and light switches being finicky; however, we had no issues while we were there and would absolutely stay again.

My return visit to the Boathouse was even lovelier than I hoped it would be. The location can't be matched by anything else I've seen. I enjoyed a September visit with my dog and was lucky to have pristine weather. I lived a very simple and healthy outdoors life and came home the better for it. The Boathouse is true to its description: it is simple and rustic and uncomplicated but well-equipped, and is perfect for one-and-dog, or for two people. A little coming-and-going from the neighboring houses meant that I didn't feel isolated. Margaret is truly an exceptional and friendly host who communicates promptly and clearly. I almost hesitate to share "my" Boathouse location with too many of my back-home friends because it feels so intimate and special. I already want to be back there. I offer my deep thanks to Margaret and to the place that I could - briefly - call home.

BEAUTIFUL Home!! Tons of space to relax and spread out with our family! The beds were very comfortable! We really appreciated all of the bathrooms for our group! The kitchen was huge and so handy for preparing meals! I absolutely loved the style and atmosphere of this wonderful home! We also loved being able to bring our dogs!! We had a lovely time and we would most definitely come back!!! 🥰

Our family stayed here for a weekend visiting Acadia National Park. It was in a fantastic location between the main part of the park and Schoodic Peninsula. The home is in a quiet area and is easy to locate. The backyard is huge, and our family loved having a swing set, a campfire, and the space to relax. The home felt so cozy, especially with the fireplaces and the patios. There were so many rooms in this house! We used the living room with the trundle beds more than we thought we would because it was so relaxing in there. Annabel provided everything we needed including lots of clean towels, extra quilt blankets, and so many extra sources of heat for the chilly weather. I totally recommend this home for a family getaway! If we had more time, we would have taken advantage of the backyard grill, and if the weather had been warmer we would have used the swimming pool. Still, there was so much to do in this lovely home.

I recently stayed with my family at this incredible Airbnb that exceeded all my expectations. This property offered a hot tub, a pool table, and a level of privacy and tranquility that made for a truly relaxing getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was being able to watch the northern lights from the hot tub – it was absolutely magical. We spent a week in Acadia, and the location was perfect, just 15-20 minutes from Bar Harbor or the nearest town. The hosts were very responsive, and the place was fantastic for families, being both kid and pet friendly. It was a week filled with unforgettable moments, and I can't recommend this place enough!

We had a great stay at Angel’s place for Thanksgiving! The area was fun to explore as well.

The hosts were very prompt in communicating. The thoughtfulness they have put into furnishing the property is amazing. It has a very vintage nautical feeling to it. The house is extremely well appointed. We didn’t have any problems at all. The surroundings are off the beaten path which we especially appreciated. It’s a short 10 minute drive to Damariscotta Downtown. I would highly recommend this property.

I really enjoyed staying at this house! It was a perfect location central location if you’re traveling to Acadia or Bangor. The house was clean and cozy. It has a rustic and charming feel.

We had a great stay here. A short walk to everything yet tucked away in a quiet residential street with easy parking. The house itself feels perfectly on brand for a Maine getaway too!

We loved our stay here! Jana was very accommodating for 2 infants, helping us get extra supplies to make travel to the location easier. This location is perfect. Everything is walkable and you don’t have to worry about parking. Highly recommend. Easily the best air bnb we have stayed at.

Beautiful location, accommodating host and very responsive and flexible. The place is a hidden gem right next to the lake. It is in a very secluded setting, definitely worth it.

The house and views are excellent, you can sit on the back deck or outside area and just gaze out at the view, see Bald Eagles fly over every day, even saw one grab a fish from the water. Very clean and well appointed with the essentials like detergents for laundry and dishwasher, garbage bags, slat, pepper and other cooking basics, foil and cling wrap, beach chairs. Overall I can say it is a very nice house, very clean. The location is 20 - 25 minutes from Bar Harbor and maybe 20 min to Acadia. We didn't mind this at all. We ate lobster at 5 different places, if you want the absolute best Lobster rolls go to the Travilin Lobster, there is one in Trenton and one in Bar Harbor, by far the best lobster roll. Oh, and probably as important as the house being very clean, the beds were very comfortable.

Our family and I had a wonderful stay at Jackies, we are all originally from maine, and her home gives you everything great about maine. We really felt at home, it snowed christmas eve which made it even more beautiful ( The driveway was plowed out early as well). I brought a small christmas tree with us on our trip up, and when we walked in, the place was decorated for christmas, which was just amazing and so thoughtful. We definitly plan on staying again, the next time we are back in maine. Thank you again Jackie!

We have been going to this area of Maine for over fifty years. I found this gem several years ago and haven’t stayed anywhere since. I find it to be peaceful, walkable to the center via footbridge, it’s all that we want. Kathy is a great host, quickly responds to any questions or needs you may have. We always know we will have a great experience staying here.

Our family was able to come together to relax, cook, enjoy Belfast and celebrate our own little Christmas. We were super comfortable and really enjoyed the space. The house had everything we needed!

Just as described! Very clean. Far enough to feel private but still close to grocery stores, shops, and nearby towns! Lisa is great at communicating and it was a seamless process! Had a wonderful new year’s getaway!

John's place is homey and comfortable. Sunshine coming through the windows into the roomy kitchen and dining room was a nice thing. Very responsive to inquiries. We would recommend John's place to anyone spending some time around Acadia NP.

Loved staying at the Treehouse! Anne was incredibly helpful ahead of our stay, sharing a number of great local recommendations for restaurants, activities, and hiking options. Very responsive leading up to and during our stay, which was great. The area is beautiful and location was great for us to travel all around Mount Desert Island. Had a wonderful stay here for the weekend and Indigenous Day. The place is tidy and in a beautiful location. The host is lovely — we forgot some of our stuff behind and she generously offered to ship it to our address for free!
