Holiday houses in Aurora

Beautiful cabin with plenty of space. We would absolutely stay here again. The host was responsive and clearly answered all our questions so we knew what to expect. Our only noted challenge was backing a 44 foot race trailer into the driveway with fresh snow, but with some effort we got it in there! Surroundings are stunning, would love to see this place in the summer!

Our stay was wonderful..A girls weekend! We arrived on Friday evening- no trouble following the directions to get into the home. The place was just as it looked in the photos. Two beds in the upstairs loft and one bed in a lower basement area. The home was clean and comfy! We used the electric fireplace in the living room a lot! It was very snowy so we did spend a lot of time sitting outside in the hot tub while the snow fell! We had comfortable beds and plenty of clean towels for showers and the hot tub. I asked if there would be a 9x13 pan in the kitchen for one of our meals and when communicating with Jacqi she told me she would be sure to have one there for us! Due to the weather and our desire for a “chill weekend”we didn’t venture out at all, so I cannot share any helpful recommendations in town. My daughters and I had a great stay and would definitely stay again!

Absolutely loved this trip. A wonderful welcome basket with wine and snacks was waiting for us upon arrival. We made full use of the fireplace to stay nice and warm during the cold, snowy weekend. Being right along the river was amazing and made for a beautiful view. We utilized the snow shoes to walk along the frozen river and creek which was extremely fun. This was the best cabin we’ve stayed in and we will be sure to recommend to anyone looking for a great place to spend the weekend.

We have stayed here several times and we love it more with each visit. Mike and Amy have invested in their property and there are new updates with each year. There is newer furniture than what is pictured. The lake is so nice for swimming!!! And having access to all the kayaks, paddle boat, etc makes the stay so much more fun and relaxing. Sitting on the deck listening to the loons and star gazing is the perfect end to the day!

The Lake Cottage was exactly as pictured - clean, nostaglic, modernized amentities and loads of vintage charge. We booked last minute for a New Years Eve hurrah with my husband and two children (ages 3 & 8), and my only regret is not staying longer. We snowboarded, ice-fished, played board games, did puzzles... and simply enjoyed our time together. It was restorative and the cottage is conducive to slowing down and savoring each moment. The property (albiet Winter) was spacious and felt private, tucked down the long(er) drive with a single neighbor in sight. Elizabeth, the host, was incredibly responsive and helpful. 10/10, will probably book again!

The place was just right for our girls getaway. It had a great location right on the lake. Since it was late fall it was very quiet. Would love to come back when it is warm to enjoy the water. The place itself was wonderful, the picturea didn't deceive.

Beautiful place, wonderful hosts

This is a great peaceful and very private place to stay. We feel very welcome and right at home staying here. The owners have been great and the cabin is so very well stocked with everything you could want or need.

It’s in a nice quiet location. Kitchen is fully stocked with silverware plate and cups and plenty of cooking utensils. They had a nice big Coffee pot was much appreciated. TV is connected to about everything you would want. Light switches are labeled and that was quite helpful. The check out instructions were very clear and easy. We were up there for vintage race weekend so outside of that we didn’t do much for activities. Would definitely go back again.
