Peaceful Idyllic Stable on Romney Marsh near Rye

ElaineRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing break at The Stables. The accommodation is lovely, super clean and comfy with all the amenities we could ask for. Sally, our Host, was attentive and hospitable. A great location for exploring the Romney Marshes, Hythe, Tenterden & Rye. We’ll definitely return one day in the not too distant future.

Oak Cottage with private log fired jacuzzi hot tub

CharlotteRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
What a hidden gem of a place! We feel so lucky to have found Stable Oak Cottages and to have spent New Year there with our family celebrating our sons 18th. The place was gorgeous and the hot tub such a treat! The alpacas were great entertainment and the luxurious little touches from bath robes and sliders, to home baked bread and muffins were just wonderful. Highly recommend.

Aidan & Wendy were fantastic hosts. Great communication, proactive and could not do enough to help. The barn was extremely warm and cosy and felt home from home, with everything very clean and tidy. Hot tub was immaculate and lovely and hot (as you would hope). A great relaxing break was had by the 3 of us.

The Bullock Lodge, Rye Foreign

AnnaRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Our family of four enjoyed a lovely stay at Bullock Lodge at the end of December. The cottage is beautifully decorated with gorgeous furnishings, as well as being super cosy, warm and comfortable (in particular, the beds & bedding were fantastic): it really felt like a home away from home. It’s also incredibly peaceful and quiet, but within easy reach of lots of interesting and fun places to visit. Charlotte is a great host and reached out during our stay to make sure everything was ok. Highly recommend!

Cosy Countryside views/Woodburner/Dog friendly

JadeRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had an amazing stay and found mark and Sarah to be amazing hosts. They have literally thought of everything you may need when staying away from home and the house was clean, well organised and simply beautiful. Situated on beautiful grounds, we was able to take a lovely long walk to the home of Rudyard Kipling which we enjoyed. Lovely enclosed garden for our dog was an added bonus - alongside the blanket, towel, toys and treats left for him! Also an inside dog wash which was life saving by the bed of our walk lol. Absolutely faultless and we would defo return :)

The Old Stable

MelissaRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We had a brilliant stay at Jane’s place celebrating a 30th birthday. The house & surroundings are just beautiful. Jane couldn’t have been more helpful & welcoming, giving us local recommendations before arriving, even messaging us in the morning before we arrived to let us know about roadworks in the area and then made us feel right at home from the moment we got there. The space had everything we needed and was perfect for my young daughter - cot, high chair, kid friendly cutlery & plates, books & change mat - it was brilliant not having to pack any of this. The outside area is really fantastic - we enjoyed the hot tub, and were told there was no issue with us staying in it late or making noise etc. We just wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the pizza oven & chiminea! Amazing stay, thank you so much.

The Pool Shed with heated swimming pool (may-sept)

HannahRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We had the most wonderful stay at The Pool Shed. Toby and Kate were the perfect hosts—welcoming, thoughtful, and went above and beyond to make our stay special. From the fresh bread and mince pies waiting for us on arrival to the beautifully decorated space, it felt like a true home away from home. The property is simply stunning. The views are fantastic, and the cosy, immaculately clean space was a luxury retreat. The attention to detail was incredible—the room smelled amazing, and the lovely Christmas tree added the perfect festive touch. We enjoyed the warmth of the roaring fire while indulging in a Harry Potter marathon, making it the ultimate winter getaway. This place is absolute perfection, and we can’t recommend it enough. Toby and Kate truly think of everything to make your stay memorable!

Tenterden -Stunning 3 bedroom Lakeside Lodge

MichaelRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Very nice location and nice accommodation. We stayed with some friends for 2 nights over new year. It's secluded and very peaceful, but within walking distance of the local high street which looks like it has lots to do. We didn't get the chance due to the poor weather, but did dine at one of the restaurants Richard recommended - Montalbano - which was very good. Staying in the Summer would be better a you'd be able to make use of the decking, the view and surroundings. Would recommend.

We had a fantastic stay in the beautiful Sussex countryside. The accommodation was perfect for our family, our toddler loved the horses and friendly dogs. Nick and Nicole were super hosts and we appreciated extras like a welcome hamper and dressing gowns. Although the weather was cold and wet, the cottage was very warm and cosy: a real home from home! would definitely recommend and love to come back sometime!

Amazing space in a amazing location. The recommendations of walks around the nature reserve were amazing, although very muddy! The flat kitchen had more than enough utensils and the welcome basket was very cute. Would 100% stay again.

Cosy period cottage in the Sussex Countryside

DorrithRating, 5 stars6 months ago
The cottage was very lovely and cosy, we felt at home! It was very tidy and clean. The garden is also lovely and has a nice view on the fields and horse. Ann and Bob are very friendly and interested in their guests, but respected our privacy as well. They also gave usefull information about things to do, where to park etc. We would recommend this cottage! The low ceilings might be a bit of a challenge to taller people, nevertheless they also contribute to it's charm. We had a lovely week!

Charming historic cottage in the North Kent Downs

PaulRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
A dream in stunning natural beauty is what Lu, Alex and the kids created. We felt thrown back in time, the 15th century barn and farm are renovated with love, respect and passion. Everything feels right and the place is therefore a haven of peace and beauty. We also loved our stay because we could walk from the house right into the Kentish downs. Fantastic. Thanks for having us and we will come back! Paul and David

Vineyard Hollow at Oastbrook Vineyard

SharonRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a lovely short stay at the Hobbit House. It’s obvious a lot of thought has gone into the design and for Tolkien fans like ourselves it’s perfect. The place is clean and well equipped and the complimentary bottle of wine is a nice touch. The location is peaceful but easy to find and great for visiting local attractions. We especially enjoyed the walk across the fields to Bodiam Castle (although muddy at this time of year) and can recommend the food and service at the Castle Inn.

Cottage located in a beautiful setting, was lovely and peaceful. Christopher was a great host, he was friendly and full of knowledge. Interior was good size and very sociable space, good sized kitchen and dining area. Beds were lovely and comfortable. A lot of effort has been made to make the space feel homely and it really succeeds.

Cosy Countryside Cottage, in an AONB, Free Parking

RavinderRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Wow , the view in a cold winter evening of rolling hill and the sunset in a hot tub. Was amazing, we just got a train to Canterbury and a £10 Uber from the train station straight there. Found it a little difficult finding the exact house but eventually did . Such a charming place, really welcoming and privacy was good. Especially as it’s just off set from Jaya’s home . Went for a nice walk in the country side , very peaceful and quiet. Thanks for hosting us Jaya .
