We had a lovely stay! Communication was excellent! The space gives the feeling of staying in a friend’s mountain cabin - with books and games to round out the vibe. The kitchen is particularly well equipped. Evening stargazing from the hot tub after watching sunset colors - beautiful!

Great place to stay.

We were grateful to find this little gem on our visit to Pine Grove to reunite with family. Everything as described, loved the deck where we enjoyed our morning coffee, then the hot tub in the evening. Comfortable beds, a very complete kitchen, plenty of dvds to choose from. A lovely bottle of wine waiting for us after a long day of travel as well as a sampling of delicious ice cream to get us next door to try out the rest of our favorite flavors. Walking distance to Graze which turned into our favorite breakfast place. Roadhouse coffee another nice place. Local grocery had great variety if you didn’t want to make a trip to Jackson. We fell in love with Pine Grove and its surrounding area. Plenty of trails to hike, close to wineries, we even took a day trip to Calaveras to see the giant sequoias. Our family reunion turned into a memorable vacation. Thanks Stew for sharing your cozy chalet!

Easy access to BLS amenities, quiet court location with some great walking just in the neighborhood. We really appreciate the dog friendly homes. Our fur babies absolutely loved it too!

This is our 5th time staying at Ben’s place. Always an amazing time. The new furniture and upgrades were very nice. Thanks again Ben! Looking forward to our next stay.

What was great: The bedroom configuration worked great for our family of 5, with room to spare. Beautiful setting amongst the trees, with sunrise views through the main window. Well stocked kitchen. Close to Bear Valley Ski Resort. Using the fireplace every day. What could have been better: Hot Tub water was musky/murky. Check in and check out procedure required driving an extra 20 mins on both ends (pick up and drop off are at Bear Valley resort). Lots of automated communications, much of which was duplicative and included text that reads "Click Here," but is not an actual URL/Link. Having to pack out all trash. Slow internet Despite some opportunities for improvement, especially at this price point, we had a lovely time and found communications with staff -- once we were there -- easy and responsive. Getting to the ski resort was easy and the place worked well for us. We would stay again!

We had a great time and the cabin was perfect for our little family. Jennifer was super accommodating when we had a schedule change. The house got super warm thanks to all the heating options and the kitchen is great for cooking. The location is close to everything we needed and we even got to have a little fun in the snow right in the front yard. Thank you for everything Jennifer!

Beautiful place to stay. Feels remote and quiet, yet only a super short drive to the neighboring Sonora. Dog friendly, which was a huge plus, our girls loved going out in the yard in the morning … running around with their toys. Fully fenced completely safe for them to run and be dogs ! Kitchen fully stocked with everything you need. Easy to light fire (wood all chopped & firestarters provided) Bedrooms and lounge areas all spacious, lovely and quiet at night …. Pool table, fun games, lots of books for the evenings along with Netflix & tv. Close by all the beautiful mountains, lakes and hiking trails. Restaurants and supermarkets alike. Really worth the money. I can’t think of a negative thing to say. Absolutely amazing place to stay.

It was a really great environment around the house! We loved the nature and the basketball hoop. The kitchen was really nice as well.

A great location for exploring the gold rush area, Highways 49, 108 and 4. Easy access, great for our dog, and a cozy place to spend the night

We had a great time staying at the cabin. It’s rustic and charming. We were happy not to have any snow, but we were able to easily travel up to Bear Valley for skiing and sledding. There are lots of nearby amenities and just a short drive to the grocery store and restaurants. The cabin was very warm and the kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed watching the DVDs and playing with the games. The beds are also super comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

Janet’s place was comfortable and exactly as described. As everyone else mentions, this place is in a great location and walking distance to Main Street. While we still had a great time in Murphys, for the price of this place I would rather get something else in Murphys that has more privacy and amenities. However, it’s hard to find something that has as much charm as this place so that is by no means a complaint of our stay.

We had a wonderful stay and Rod and Bev's. They were very welcoming and helpful. The Shed was extremely comfortable and relaxing.

The place is great, better than the photos actually! It has everything you’ll ever need, such as pots, cooking utensils, and cleaning supplies, and everything is very clean. However, one little con is that the internet is a bit unstable, no matter if we’re using cellular service or the purchased wifi.

We had a great stay at Connie’s cabin. Our trip was two couples, each with a toddler. The space was very well set up to allow us to put each kid down and still have board game nights after they were asleep. The cabin had a very lived in and homey vibe - which is what we were looking for! You could definitely tell the family has gotten lots of great use out of the house over the years!

Maria’s place was cute, clean, and was equipped with games, sleds, extra bedding and the kitchen was stocked with all the pots, pans and utensils we needed! Maria was very responsive and helpful during our stay. Highly recommend watching the tutorial video Maria sends to help get the fire started.

We had a great time at this cabin! Everything was super easy. It was very clean and had plenty of room for our big group. It was very easy to get to and was in a great location for our ski weekend

One-of-a-kind home (two of a kind, I guess, if you count the CO version) made an unforgettable experience for our family (5 adults, 3 kids and 2 pups)!! Thoughtful consideration seeped in every nook and cranny! 1) brilliant open layout strikes perfect balance between having a corner/plenty of room for everyone, yet still with a lovely sense of togetherness; 2) exceptionally well-equipped and spacious kitchen; 3) play closet with enough toys and board games to keep our 2yo toddler and pre-teen girls equally entertained; 4) winter gear to borrow -- sleds, snowshoes, etc. -- kids spent hours playing in the hill across the street (within sight from the cabin). In terms of virtually every amenity -- from quality kitchenware, comfy beds, toiletries, extra blankets, towels, spare friggin' batteries -- the Chesa Madrisa was a couple notches above what one should be able to reasonably expect from a vacation rental! Hillary was an absolute joy to communicate -- we can't wait to be back!

We loved our stay and Nick was a responsive and kind host. Was a short trip but we felt very cozy. The home is beautiful and you are close to lots of amazing outdoor experiences. Has all the appliances and tools you might need to make dinner! And extremely reasonable and understandable check out instructions.
