had the best time here ever. highly recommend this home, was truly amazing and debbie and her husband could not of been more helpful with recommendations and places to visit aswell as coming to our rescue so quickly when gusts hit us harder than expected. the house was really warm when we arrived and welcoming a real home from home, easy to find and absolutely superb location a real hidden gem. ideal location between all the local popular walks and attractions but also peaceful and private for the quiet evenings watching the sun set and the snow on the mountains. words cant describe the beauty the views are you really need to experience this home, i wish we could of stayed longer. would visit again in a heart beat. it was worth the 12 hour drive ❤️

Absolutely beautiful stay in Dalavich. The views from the dining room and hot tub were next level. George was extremely helpful with all recommendations and there is a helpful manual in the property on things to do around. Having a car is vital and make sure to do a shop before getting to the property but the village shop allowed us to pick up some bits we ran out of which was a bonus. Could not recommend more and will definitely be back!

We had a lovely stay at the Wildcat Lodge. Incredibly relaxing and a beautiful setting. Everything we could possibly need was provided! Especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub each evening. Thanks again to Ross for a brilliant weekend!

Our stay at the cottage was fabulous. Gorgeous location with lots of lovely walks. The cottage was immaculate, impeccably designed with all of your home comforts. A really perfect, cosy space. Will definitely be back.

Our stay was fantastic, especially given that we booked last minute after another place fell through. The host was incredibly responsive, making sure everything was ready for us. The real highlight was the breathtaking view overlooking the water, with mountains in the distance – truly picturesque! The house itself was spacious and ideal for our group, nestled in a private, peaceful spot that felt like a true retreat. The kids had a great time with the nearby beach just a few minutes’ walk away, and they loved exploring the vast open land surrounding the property. Another great part was the location – it’s about a 15 minute drive to Oban, a lovely town with plenty to do. It gave us the perfect balance of seclusion and easy access to town activities. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy both tranquillity and the option of nearby excursions!

Very cosy house in the forest, close to the lake. Beautiful sourrandings, very peaceful. we had an amazing time, everything was as listed. When we arrived we found it a bit difficult to find the place as the given location was pointing to somewhere else.

The Summer House exceeded our expectations. It is more spacious than it looks on the photos. It is very nicely furnished and decorated and is cosy and warm. Penny has thought of everything to make your stay an enjoyable one . Her directions to get there were easy to follow and she recommended several places for us to visit also with clear directions . Archie, her husband , is also very knowledgeable about the island and is very approachable. All in all, we had a lovely time and would highly recommend a stay at Knockenkelly.

If you are looking for off-the-beaten-track luxury with incredible wildlife, views of beautiful Loch Etive and the surrounding mountains which are second to none - then this is the place for you! Our family of 7 had a wonderful stay here and we were sad to leave. We highly recommend this Air BnB and we would love to visit again. Note: we were thankful to find teabags and coffee - but bring your own milk. ;)

Just back from spending Xmas day & Boxing Day at The Retreat Check in was easy & the accommodation itself was immaculate and a beautiful location Leah & Gary had decorated for us with beautiful lights & Xmas tree which made our stay extra special They had also left a bottle of Prosecco for us & left breakfast pack and milk which was a lovely & kind gesture The accommodation had everything we needed , towels , bedding , everything you could think of We really couldn’t speak highly enough of the hosts and their accommodation and we can’t wait to book up again

Cottage was very well equipped with everything you would need for cooking your own meals. I thought it was a lovely touch that ruth had incuded everything from cleaning products, toilet tissue, kitchen roll. And also the lovely prosecco cheese and oatcakes that was left for us. We all had a lovely time and wouldn't hesitate to return in the future if we ever visit Arran again. Thank you Ruth for a lovely time.

Great place to stay while in Islay! So cozy and comfortable. Beds were comfy. Bathrooms were clean and had everything needed. Kitchen was large and we enjoyed cooking a meal while staying here. Lots of kitchen necessitates. Host was friendly and instructions were clear. We were nice and warm despite it being cold outside. Loved being close to some of the distilleries and somewhat centrally located on the island for everything else. Great spot!

This cottage is one of the best place I have ever stayed at. It is very cosy and perfectly equipped. The layout is very convenient, and you can park right next to the building. The area is very nice, with beautiful walks, and shops walkable from the doorstep. The cottage is very well restored and just perfect for a family stay.

Andy’s house is fantastic for a celebration weekend. Twelve of us stayed there comfortably and there is so much public space that it’s easy to do different things yet assemble for meals. The view from the conservatory and garden is stunning. We had one person in a wheelchair and the house worked well for him too. Andy and Joan were welcoming and helpful.

Everything as described, a good host, Therese gave us information about local bakers and some eating establishments which were excellent. We would certainly go again, the weather was in our favour, which was another bonus

Just spent the weekend at this quaint and pristine cottage! It exceeded expectations. It had all the amenities that were listed including fresh cleaning supplies, smart TV, hairdryer, kitchen supplies, etc. Fresh and clean towels and linen provided. Hot tub was set up for us on arrival with a beautiful view over the loch and plenty of wood for both the hot tub and wood stove. Easy to follow directions for lighting both wood stoves. Would highly recommend to this beautiful location, will definitely be visiting again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, Douglas is an attentive host who was available when needed. The bungalow was equipped with everything we needed for cooking and resting which was much appreciated as our stay was over Christmas! Douglas very kindly gifted some wine and chocolates and he was there for our arrival to show us around the house, giving some useful information on nearby shops, places to eat and things to do. We were unfortunate with the weather; however, the bungalow was very cosy and thoughtfully decorated for Christmas and time spent inside looking out at the fabulous views made up for it!

Extremely peaceful and beautiful location, 30 mins from Oban. Magic views from the living room (lake, mountains, sheep everywhere). A lot of space for 4 adults + 2 kids in the house. A lot of facilities near the house including swimming pool. Clean and comfortable beds. Moved two single beds and provided baby cot as we requested. It was a bit difficult to find the house as we arrived late at night but no big deal. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at James's caravan. The views are stunning and the area is situated within easy reach of various other attractions and places to visit. Would highly recommend.
