Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Ararat

Had a most wonderful stay here - the pictures don't do it justice! The space is absolutely amazing with huge windows looking out into gorgeous bush and the rock formations in the distance. It was peaceful, full of wildlife and an incredibly lovely space to spend a weekend, we definitely wanted to stay longer! Kitchen was well equipped, and had a spacious fridge for lots of people's groceries. We made use of the outdoor dining area which was divine to spend mornings and afternoons, and the living room, though looking small, easily accommodated 5 adults for movie nights 😊 Jane was responsive and graciously allowed us a later check-out, and was there for any questions we had. The only thing that could have slightly been improved was the cleanliness, the bed quilts a bit dirty and the house a bit dusty, but nothing that got in the way of our stay overall.

We had a very pleasant stay, the house presentation was excellent and it had everything required to help 4 guys look after themselves for a few days. We were all very happy and would certainly recommend Chris’s place to anyone else looking for accommodation in Bendigo.

Catherine and James were very friendly, and accommodating during our stay. I can see that a lot of thought has been put into curating the beautiful cottage. With it being only 20 minutes from Daylesford, and 20 minutes from Ballarat., It was a perfect Inbetween spot for day trips, and accommodating other activities. Would definitely love to stay with him again in the future!

This place is fantastic! A unique comfy home. Heaps of room. Super clean. Very comfy beds! I cannot think of a single criticism. it was perfection. Would happily stay again.

Lovely cosy house in Hall’s Gap, surrounding by trees and wildlife. Louise was a friendly and responsive host. I highly recommend.

Top notch property and very responsive. A beautiful spacious property with everything laid out and thought of. Lovely living room leading out to a backyard and secure, suitable for the dog. Everyone was very comfortable in their bedrooms. The property is in a lovely area and close proximity to the main city. Thank you for a beautiful long weekend.

Amazing! We didn’t want to leave because it felt like home away from home… Beautiful linen, extremely clean and tidy. Very cosy. Communication was outstanding. The availability to do one night is awesome for a travelling family, providing a lovely place to stop over and relax properly when doing long drives with children either side of the stay. We chose this property to end our busy Great Ocean Road trip and it was the perfect way to end it! The property was so quiet and had all facilities to make a real experience out of our time there. Kookaburras on the balcony and wildlife galore. It was my favourite part of our trip. Will definitely be back in springtime.

We had a fabulous stay at Sailors Falls Estate! Margaret and Robert were so helpful and the villa was very comfortable. We found the nearby Daylesford attractions easy to get to but also enjoyed relaxing at the villa with a lovely wine from the cellar door!

You both are such wonderful people and it shows in the way you treated us—not just a guests but as friends. Your place was a home away from home indeed. It was comfortable, safe, cosy and well equipped. Spending time with you both was indeed the highlight of our trip. It was like visiting the parents. We were welcomed with open arms and made to feel right at home. I think my husband teared up a bit to see how our little one just loved you guys. Thank you for all the generous goodies-milk, cereal, yogurt, juice, chocolates, coffee machine, butter and so much more. Thank you for also showing our little one the possum and for inviting us in for a drink and a chat. It was so, so nice. Thank you, Kurt and Nan! Hope this is not goodbye, but “see you soon again”. We had a wonderful stay. Our son loved relaxing in the hammock and watching the wildlife pass by. Beautifully clean house and the perfect private getaway. We would love to come back soon!

A very nice stay in Halls Gap. The unit was small but neat and tidy. Lovely to feed the birds on the balcony and not far from the main street. Located back off the main road too, which meant not too much traffic noise. The air con is quite noisy and it was hot over the weekend and there were no fans available to use in the bedrooms. Otherwise a lovely stay, there were even apples and slices to enjoy as well. Would recommend!

Best AirBnB on our Australian trip!! Hosts are such kind, friendly people. They gave us ideas for Grampian National Park walks etc. Freshly baked bread, homemade jam, relish, fresh fruit and farm eggs - such a treat! Thank you Deb. Highlight was getting up for a spectacular sunrise - and seeing a cheeky fox sneak in to eat mulberries...then we watched a wild kangaroo jump the farm fence snd bounce off into the bush. Sunset over the Grampians was also beautiful. A cute cottage with everything we needed . Loved our 2 nights here. Thank you

Lovely cabin getaway, short walking distance to the lake and long walk/short drive into Daylesford. The pictures don’t do the places’ cool retro fit out justice.

Thank you Kerry for your hospitality and kindness. The cottage is lovely, the property and bush around it is gorgeous, and Andy’s sculptures are amazing! Plus Lily and Frank are cute as. An incredibly peaceful and comfortable place to stay for my intense week of fieldwork - each morning I woke feeling refreshed and each evening I was able to unwind with ease.

Kangaroos hopping around, lovely place in the middle of nature. Great to relax after a hike.

We had a super nice stay at the C & C Park! The cabin had everything we needed, and it was so nice to relax on the small terrace at the end of the day. We liked the surroundings too. Stawell is a cute town :)

Five stars all round. Such a beautiful and perfect stay. We’ll be back!

Yvette’s Mr Hemley, It was beautifully presented, right down to the last detail. A beautiful place to wind down, relax, and enjoy everything that was provided. Short walking distance to central Halls Gap cafe’s , restaurants, hotels, and especially the wonderful Grampions Mountains. The styling of Mr Hemley impressed us so much and we enjoyed the little details of having the fires ready to go, bathroom detail and warmth and ambience of Mr Hemley. This was our second stay at Dimity's place. It really is very special - beautiful and thoughtful design, as well as functional. Dimity is a great host - responsive, friendly and helpful. We will be back!
