Fitness-friendly holiday rentals in Anna's Retreat

Our stay at Nanyamka’s place was really nice. She was kind, proactive about things like power outages, and helpful. The unit is new with lots of indoor space. Other reviewers mentioned that the interior is dark—it is true that there is not a lot of natural light (all windows do look out onto a rock wall or storage space), but we weren’t there during the day, so it was fine for us. There are amazing beaches not that far away so we spent our daylight hours there! The exterior has a separate and shared porch with amazing views. There were a few amenities we needed to purchase like dish soap, toilet paper, cooking oil, and Cascade, but we used them during our week-long stay, so it was worth it. Like other guests, I cannot recommend strongly enough renting a car—we got a Jeep and are so glad we did. It is a bit remote. We are not used to such steep roads, sharp curves, and avoiding huge potholes, so the Jeep made our whole stay on this island so much easier and safer-feeling.

We loved this condo. Well appointed kitchen including a dishwasher and all the appliances you could ask for. Washer and dryer were very useful after a day at the beach . Everything was so close that we didn’t feel we needed a car (even tho you get a dedicated parking space). Shared taxis to the beaches are just 5 mins walk away. We appreciated use of the included beach chairs which were easy to carry on trips .

Fantastic hosts. They took care of us like family. Convenient location and clean space. They provided cold beer and hot coffee. We had everything we needed for our stay. The best part: when the rest of the island was without power (as is a frequent occurrence in the area), our hosts had power because the home is equipped with solar.

We had an amazing stay, thanks to Candice! From the moment we arrived, she welcomed us warmly and took the time to walk us through all the details of the house, making sure we felt right at home. Not only was the home exactly as described, but Candice also went above and beyond by sharing the best spots to visit in St. Thomas, which made our trip even more special. Her communication was seamless throughout our stay—she was always quick to respond and incredibly helpful. We also ran into a minor issue with our booking, and Candice handled it professionally and efficiently, ensuring everything was resolved smoothly.

Julles was very informative and on top of her game as a host. Overall, the VI is an adventure in itself just driving around. Julles place defiantly a little adventurous to get to, but the view. But most Airbnb's on the side of a Hill in Caribbean offer the same adventure. The view was Awesome, amenities were spot on. Love the common area for hanging out and meeting other guest. Overall Julles Airbnb made you feel like you were a local, with an memorable view, at a budget friendly cost.

We had a great time staying at David’s place in st John. The views were beautiful morning through night and the location was close to the best beaches (driving) but also removed from the hustle of the town where it felt safe, private and luxurious in the hills community. The home, bed and couch were super comfortable, with everything we needed to enjoy our stay.

Beautiful location and condo. Beds and linens were very comfortable. Couch was clean and kitchen felt very clean. Gym was highlight, great updated equipment. Beach was stunning and loved snorkeling off the beach at the condo.

We absolutely loved our stay!! This condo is immaculate and had the most perfect location and views. It’s much larger than the pictures displayed. We had 2 adults and 2 teenagers and had plenty of room for all of us. Lots of separation. The beach had open chairs and was never crowded, even during spring break! Same for the pool and hot tub. We always found a place to sit for all 4 of us…no matter what time of day. Great location! We spent a lot of time at Red Hook, which was 5 minutes away. The best part was our host - Sherri! Can’t say enough about the fast response and updates and recommendations. My husband surprised me and ordered flowers for my birthday for our arrival - through Sherri. She took care of all the details. We can’t wait to come back!!! Until next time.

My family and I absolutely loved staying at Kim's place. My youngest daughter really loved the loft because it made her feel like a princess! The location is fantastic, close to Secret Harbor which we love going to. The ocean view at the condo is very beautiful with a wonderful island breeze on the large patio. I loved the rattan furniture and the spiral staircase. The amenities were wonderful, and we felt like it had everything we needed. We would love to stay again in the future!

This unit is very nice and overlooks the water! It’s a little walk to the beach but totally worth it! As described and clean. Our only small inconvenience was the housekeeper showed up early upon check out and attempted to open our door but she was happy to wait in the car as we took our luggages to the car.

Amazing place. We have been to St John many times. This was the best and a fantastic location. We will definitely be back.

Ajit was very nice and generous with his communication. We had some problems with connections and confusion finding our way there from St. Thomas and Ajit was in communication with me the whole time, trying to help me figure out my way. We arrived to meet the wonderful Sonny, one of our highlights was meeting him and getting to know him a little. The views, sunsets, moon-rise, pool, sea, friendly rooster, snorkeling on the beach just below the property, amenities, everything was great. I did not realize the property is shared so closely with two other units, but we were lucky to not have a another guest below us, and never saw the other people in the detached unit below as theirs was more private and they had their own pool. Definitely recommend staying in the pool past 3:00 to avoid the no-see-ums! A highlight of our trip was going to The Baths. A must! Walked up the hill to the Sugarcane restaurant three times! Loved the view from Hog Heaven. The locals were so nice! Thank you!

Loved the house! The view was breathtaking and the beds were so comfy! Very quiet and enjoyed the pool deck which is best part of house. Would suggest blinds in bedroom too bright at 6am .. our host did a great job communicating with us. We would come back and are already missing the views!

Enjoyed the hummingbirds, Bananaquits and the noise of the Coki frogs every night. Beautiful views. Wonderful house with everything you could need. Excellent stay.

Lynn’s place was absolute paradise. Beautiful clean space with gorgeous ocean views. The amenities were exceptional. Comfy beds, great kitchen, everything was great. Plus very close to town and the market.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Been to St. John several times and these accommodations were the best yet - will stay again! Amazing view of Cruz Bay, too. Marble floors, custom kitchen with plenty of utensils and whatnot for cooking, even a grill. The continental breakfast in the morning was a lifesaver and Cathy, the server was personal and very cheery. Maintenance had a malfunctioning AC unit fixed in just a few hours. I would absolutely recommend this location to anyone looking for a luxury stay in St. John. We’ll be back next December!

The house had everything we needed, from a well-equipped kitchen to comfortable and stylish furnishings. Everything was spotless upon arrival, and we truly appreciated the cleanliness and attention to detail. Elton and his team (Tori/Sean) were so friendly, kind, and helpful, making our experience even more special. They provided great recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway and can’t wait to return! Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Tortola! 🌴☀️🏝️

There's not much to add as a review of Nick's wonderful home that hasn't been said already. We just spent 10 days there for the third year in a row, and this is our third review. Because of the 4 king bed rooms (two on each side of the center living area), his place can certainly accommodate four couples with plenty of privacy (our trips have been just my wife and myself), each bedroom and a number of outdoor dining and relaxing spots all having world class views of the Carribean from about 200 feet above the sea. Being right above a nice beach provides a constant sound of waves hitting the beach that adds to the ambience of the villa. The villa is well equipped (we cooked every meal there), clean and comfortable. Has WiFi and TV's for those who need or want Internet access and entetainment. Nick (the owner) and Jon and Jude (the on island management team) are terrific people and very accommodating. We hope to be back again to our personal favorite vacation spot on the planet.
