Holiday houses in Alta Sierra

My friends and I loved this Airbnb!! The place was fully stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay and it was exactly as amazing as it looked in the photos. It is a great space for large groups and gatherings. The host May was very responsive and so kind! The property is beautiful and it was very fun to be able to hang out by the waterfall. I highly recommend this Airbnb!

I have stayed at a lot of places and this is one of my top favorites. Everything about our stay was perfect. The house was stunning the pictures don’t do it justice. The outside space was beautiful and so peaceful! The golf and disc golf became one of our favorite things to do. Lashaun has thought of everything down to the tiniest details. Beautiful home, impeccably decorated. Perfect location to visit Victorian Christmas. Host extremely responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. As mentioned in other reviews, and not repeated here, there are old house quirks, most notably the need for quick or cold showers. We would definitely stay again if we get lucky enough with availability which says it all!

Awesome place with a beautiful path down to a stream in the backyard for extra peace and quiet. Taylor was an awesome host and accommodating when needed. Place was spotless and perfectly described.

We had such a wonderful stay at Clare's home. The hosue is comfortable and the pool was perfect for beating the summer heat! The door to the pool is off the family rooom area but it is easily closable for keeping young kids away from teh pool if needed. The house is tastefully decorated with some homey additions like books and toys. We found it difficult to choose where to sit-- outside on the front porch or our by the pool lounge area. Although the house is not close enough to town to walk the location is very central and wooded. The view out the back is really wonderful. This is a great place for a family or anyone looking for an authentic Nevada City stay. Highly recommend!

Big and interesting house! Lovely deers around!

This was a really nice home. Spacious and very clean with all the amenities. The fireplace was nice and we really enjoyed the view and the hot tub. We were lucky enough to have deer visit the backyard and stayed a while 😊👍

The Apple Hill Cottage left quite the impression- from the cozy, clean, and idyllic setup of the cottage to the natural beauty of the area, and Cara’s absolutely wonderful hospitality- my stay here was beyond joyful. Cara and Barry are excellent hosts- gracious, generous, thoughtful in the details, available for assistance yet respectful of privacy. Camino & Placerville are quaint towns with wineries & orchards, a good stop between Tahoe & Sacramento/Bay Area. Snuggle up with a blanket by the fire with some hot cocoa or cider and soak in the splendor of Camino Cottage!

Garrett's cabin was amazing for our stay. The space was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The hot tub was great—so soothing and the perfect way to unwind in the morning and evening. The beds were comfortable, ensuring we all got a great night's sleep. It was just the right amount of space for me and my guests, with an open setting that made it feel cozy yet spacious. The kitchen was well-equipped and easy to use for cooking meals together, and having a washer and dryer on-site was a great convenience. Highly recommend Garrett's cabin for a peaceful and enjoyable retreat. We can't wait to come back.

Very much enjoyed our stay. Jared and Morgan were very upfront on what to expect. If/when we return to the area we would definitely look at staying at the Ophir Inn.

We had a great stay in Coloma in the cottage, the river setting was beautiful and relaxing and the house had everything we needed!
