Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Alpena County

Jade was a great host. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything I needed. She even had some canned, boxed and other sealed items. The bed, pillows and bedding were very comfortable. All the supplies needed in a well-lit bathroom, including Ibuprofen! The grounds were lovely with lake reflecting the beautiful fall colors. I had a doe, and her fawn come up to the front yard every morning, which was cool. I would suggest making sure all of the front porch lights work. I arrived late and the extra lighting would have been helpful. Having blue refactors to indicate where the driveway was would have been helpful as well, because of all of the leaves and no overhead lighting. I would stay at her place again and would recommend it to friends or family!! :-)

I wish I could put into words how amazing this stay was! There were so many activities to do here, it was insane! I wish we had more time to enjoy them. It was very peaceful, kayaking down the river was a beautiful experience (definitely recommend water shoes, rocky bottom). They are also very accommodating for pets or for babies, have extra things just in case you forget something. 100000/10 would recommend to anyone!

Really loved our time at this cabin overall! The location is gorgeous - the views from the back patio, the hot tub, the fire pit, and the indoor spaces are absolutely stunning. You can see so much of the lake, and of the beautiful surrounding land. The cabin is also lovely. It had lots of little touches to make it feel more comfortable, cozy, and ready to settle right in! There are a few things I wish were more clear in the listing. For example, there are two bedrooms - one has a queen bed, and one has a trundle with two twins. The other queen is a pull-out couch right in the living room. Since the cabin is mostly just one large space, that room is open to all of the space. Also, the hot tub is on a low watt plug, so it took about 5 hours for it to warm up to the point of being comfortable in chilly weather. I wish it had warmed up more quickly, or been usable right when we arrived. Overall it was a really lovely trip and I would definitely recommend it to others!

Very nice house - feels like a home rather than a cabin/cottage. Very well furnished and stocked, with a great location as well. The layout of the house and property are great, plenty of indoor space and privacy if you have kids or are staying with a group. Huge backyard. Very nice sandy beach with another, even nicer, sandier beach less than a minute's walk away. Literally the best vacation home I have ever stayed at for this price. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time staying here. In the perfect tucked away spot, the pond is very clean and beautiful and feels completely off the grid! The cabin is close enough to both Roger's City and Alpena that we made trips for dinner and to play some golf. Overall, a wonderful experience that made our up north getaway special!

Every year, three friends and I pick a place to stay for a weekend away. This was the first year where we actually spent more time at the place we choose than we normally do. The word “relaxed” was used so often and I think this is due to the warm, welcome atmosphere and the beautiful view we had. Everything was practically perfect for us! Sarah was great to work with and answered any questions we had. Would highly recommend!

Nice cabin secluded on a big plot of land. Beautiful surroundings and the cabin was very clean! Buffy was also very responsive and flexible. Will be back next time I'm in the area!
