Our home is situated 10 minutes from the friendly city of North Bay on the shores of beautiful Trout Lake. We have over 1600 sq. ft. of living space that has just been totally renovated with high end finishes. The Airbnb is the complete ground floor just steps from the water. The hosts live on the top floor and have separate entrances. Small pets are allowed but not on the furniture and beds. We do expect that you clean up after them. There is a $20 pet fee for with the extra cleaning.

Large, comfortable space in a beautiful setting for a very low rental price. Nice to have access to kayaks and a canoe, a nice fire pit, large deck and a ping pong table! Very comfortable stay! The beach is rocky so water shoes are needed and it might not suitable for very young kids. My kids are 9 and 11 and loved the cottage and were fine with the beach. Overall great stay and we had everything we needed! Lovely place!

We had a wonderful experience and would rent again without hesitation. Great communication and the property is even better than as described. It is very well equipped both inside the cottage and the bunkie, and outdoors. We particularly liked using the barge and the kayaks, and the ducks that swam up to us every few hours. It was a very peaceful experience with beautiful views and was made even more special with great interaction with the hosts. Thank you so much Alayna and family.

Nice cottage with lots of space. Listing doesn’t tell you there are three cottages on the property, one beside this cottage and a very large barn/cottage at the front entrance. However still private and fun. The lake is more similar to multiple extra large ponds but we did swim and it was fun. Listing says checkout is at 1pm but the morning we left there was a knock on the door at 11am and we were asked, nicely, to pack up quicker. Owners are very nice and will help you with anything.

Alison's place is wonderful, located next to a beautiful lake. She was a fantastic host—hospitable, enthusiastic, and always quick to respond to any questions. She offered excellent recommendations for nearby snowshoeing trails and cross-country skiing (just a 30-minute drive away). The Airbnb itself is well-organized, with great amenities, including game rooms for leisure activities, and snowshoes and maps available around the property. My partner and I really enjoyed our weekend at Etienne’s cottage. The island was so interesting to explore and we hiked many trails. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a cosy weekend! We didn’t realize when booking that the main house was only a few hundred feet from the cottage but we still had privacy. In the summer, if other people rented the second cottage and you were all outside I do think that privacy would go down. Otherwise, we loved all of it and would highly recommend!!

Well what can I say about Sue and Paul Cottage this was an awesome place to stay , everything was great , me and my wife love it and Sue and Paul is very helpful with anything we needed, if you are looking for privacy then this is the place for you. This is my best Airbnb experience I have ever had I really enjoyed my stay, They have some Dogs that is very friendly and if you are going on trail walk they will go with you and keep you safe, we love the dogs. I will be returning hopefully soon ,keep up the good work Sue we really appreciate your kindness also from the entire team, Thank you all.

We married just weeks before, eloping, but we were so rushed and didn’t get to have our first dance or spend real time with each other (can you believe how busy life is) so we were able to achieve that here. Off grid, no cell service (best thing ever). Propane lanterns, stove and fridge we weren’t expecting. Running water inside was fantastic. Outhouse cute!We so loved all of the little mantra type sayings and writings all over, the painted rocks, the love imbedded into every corner of the cottage. The hand crank radio we found a classic rock station that played all of the songs I wanted to have play if we had a wedding. We love that things are original and the furniture just brought me back to where my soul seems to live. We really felt connected to the original way of living that is preserved when you go to the area of Algonquin Park. What a gift. This glorious spot that was completely void of people other than a helpful neighbour 2 doors down was the peace and tranquility we needed.
