Waterfront holiday rentals in A Ver-o-Mar

The view was absolutely amazing! We liked the layout of the unit with a balcony on the street and a bigger balcony with the river view. It was close to lots of great places with a short walk to Port houses, the park for sunsets, the bridge to the super busy Riberia neighborhood. It was ideal to stay in an area that has action in the day and quiets down at night.

Paulo’s place was great, mere steps from the Ribeira and all the restaurants. Great location, perfect for a solo traveller. I congratulated myself for making the choice to stay here.

Wonderful Porto was indeed wonderful! Clean, comfortable, incredible hot shower!!! Great location, right across from the Douro. We did have a car, the ride in is a bit scary, narrow, easy on street parking. We walked everywhere and it’s uphill (seems like the steps and hills never end) but it was doable for us. (69 and 68 yrs old) Sergio and Maria made us feel so comfortable and offered many great recommendations for us to do. Great experience and great accommodation!!! Would highly recommend!❤️

We had a lovely time at Christina’s. The perfect riverfront view from the apartment, extremely clean and amazing place. Christina was very approachable also gave us good recommendations, even allowed us to checkout a bit late.

It offered breathtaking views of the Douro River that we could enjoy right from the property. The space itself was spacious and making it incredibly comfortable for our stay. We had a late flight into Porto and didn’t arrive until after midnight. Maria was super accommodating and met us at the home, taking time to show us around and explain the home features. The home is just as the pictures look, very comfortable and in an amazing location.

We chose the property because of its quirkiness. On our arrival we were met by Joaquin who shared many locations to visit as did Cristina beforehand. We were welcomed with wine and pastel de natas. The property has two good sized double beds; mine was comfortable and cozy. I loved the shutters to darken the room. Hot and powerful shower over the bath. January was a bit chilly: heating was controlled remotely which Joaquin adjusted for the morning we had to leave early. A good location for walking to many attractions.

Marisa is a wonderful host. We felt very welcome and at home thanks to the nice welcome, the wonderful delicacies and homemade jam. The house is great located. Right on the Douro, in the middle of an eukalytus forest with private access to the river and only 20 minutes from Porto. A real oasis with lots of loving, architectural details and a beautiful garden.

We were warmly welcomed by Clara upon arrival at her home. The house was immaculate and beautifully decorated. The attic provided a stunning panoramic view of the Ponte Luis I and the historic city, where we had the perfect spot to watch the spectacular New Year's fireworks. Clara also recommended a must-visit Fado restaurant, which was an unforgettable experience.

We loved sitting on the back patio overlooking the river and bridge - the view was absolutely stunning. We weren’t familiar with the concept of key cards for electricity but Bruno’s detailed emailed guide explained how it works. Bruno attentively answered all my questions. Thank you!

Bad weather didn't disturb my calm stay at Aguda's beach. Close to restaurants and the train station (Porto 20min), Aguda is a perfect spot for a rest, with the place right in front of the beach with fully functional facilities (including washing machine). Elisa was very reactive and attentive, which was greatly appreciated.

In the heart of Porto! Fantastic views and walkable location. Would recommend to anyone. Loved this stay and would definitely come back again.

The condo is a great place, in an ideal location outside Porto, beautiful view and close to some small and amazing restaurants. Paula was very communicative and helpful. I would recommend paying for the underground parking. It’s a city so street parking can be limited and costly. As for the garage, be prepared for you need a smaller car. Ours was a 4 door midsize and I was able to get in and out just fine. The ramp getting out is very steep so be prepared. All doable just be prepared. The condo is very spacious and beautiful. The restaurants near by are great. We will definitely be back! Thank you Paula!

Apartment exactly as in the pictures. Very beautiful view, very easy access, paid parking next to it and the possibility of public spaces in front of the apartment entrance. Great communication with the host.

It was an excellent stay. excellent facilities, much sympathy on the part of Peter and wife, the very good house, excellent clean 👍👍👍👍 very close to the beach, Malafaia and very good access, balcony overlooking the sea. If you return to the north, it will be a house of choice. I loved it

A magnificent apartment in the modern house, with super nice decor. Very stylishly decorated with Portuguese charm! Everything top and clean! Best location, 1 minute to beach, kiosk, bakery and several restaurants with cheap but great food, where even police officers go out for dinner during their break! To the train station 10 minutes, to Porto about 35 minutes. To Lidl also only about 10 minutes. "Quiet" location but in the middle of the locals, the fishermen provide the rest of the authentic flair! We will be back!
